lousy tint job on my 330 BMW, bubbles all over and jagged edges . No safe precautions taken and all messy finish

I cannot believe after having such a hard time with Safelite for two months that it was so easy and pleasant to deal with this company. I spoke to a gentleman named Mike on the telephone who explained everything to me was a pleasure to talk to and I had my claim transferred from Safelite to them and they were able to have the glass and have it installed in under a week where it was taking two months with that other company. I am soooooo pleased with the quality of service they provided and the level of customer service I received if you are even considering going with the other company don't and absolutely go with them! I had 5% tints on before and need something lighter. Came here and got 35% but the tinted did a terrible job and there was marks all over the window even after the recommended "drying" period. Had them re do it but with 20% instead and the job didn't get any better and on top of that both times there was glue left all on the inside of my car and my window sill. Please save your money and go somewhere where they will actually take care of you and do a good job. read more

The problem I have is with the lady. I found her to be rather condescending with a bit of an attitude. They are sloppy with their work.

Nassau Glass has been in Hempstead for so many years - they are an upstanding business, and I don't understand the negative reviews. I brought two glass storm windows to be repaired, and the job was done in 3 days. Even your local hardware store takes longer than that.... and just try and find people who can do it! Lisa was pleasant from my very first phone call to my two visits in the office, and the gentleman who looked at my windows and told me what he could do to repair them was friendly and professional, as well. Here is my overall experience with these guys.. First call, lady was nice, told her i would swing by and pay to get the glass ordered. One week goes by, glass was supposed to get installed on monday, call her up, no glass yet.. i was told i'd get a phone call when glass arrived in order to get it installed, instead i Had to call since everything was already paid for, so why would she care? Come back on thursday, while told my windshield was in and they were ready to install it, i come there at 4 pm just to be told go home, come back tomorrow. Cane back the next day, and got my windshield installed. Guy punched a couple of holes in the dashpad.. i go in the office to inform the lady about it. Her face turns purple. Rushes to his guys then comes outside telling me the dashpad was already cracked. Really? To then change her mind to the dashpad was dry. Well i restore antique vehicles and never had an issue with anybody i've worked with.. but to get a 500$ plus tax and installation to make, for a 300$ job, i'm sorry, but i won't be happy to go to these guys ever again. Visited here for removing tints from the front side. (didn't know that front tints are not allowed for New York inspection) I was able to make an appointment on the same day, and it took about 30 min to finish the job done. Tints were removed clean. Please save your $$$ and go some where else this is NOT "Auto Glass". How can you change someone $30 for a piece of glass that not cut to the correct size and is HAZARDOUS. I was unfortunate to have 4 of my windows busted and it was hell going through claims with state farm. But finally state farm emailed me to come to this place. It was a 2 hour drive from the bronx on a sunday through manhattan but i finally made it late i might add but the shop stayed open late just to wait for me . once i met Barry he was super nice and told me my car was in good hands. We went inside and He closed the rest of the shop . once inside w got back on the phone with state farm which took another hour plus but Barry was very calm and made some coffee for me while he navigated through their telephone systems. Once all was completed he took the rest of my information and then gave me directions to the nearest train station and assured me that my car would be safe overnight and will be worked on first in the morning. It was hell for me to find time to get back to brooklyn to retrieve my car but Barry was very helpful with the process and made sure my car was kept safe during the wait The work was completed very well and even the tint came back better looking than when i brought it in . The job was done so well that i even brought him another car pontiac grand am with a crack in its windshield. Barry set me up with a good price and the car stayed overnight and was ready very first thing in the morning I highly recommend this place because this business works with you and absolutely cares about the customer. They wouldn't do or allow anything to happen to your vehicle that they wouldn't want done to theirs. read more

These people are the worst....The owner Lisa who by the way reviewed her own self on here...figures since they are such a horrible company...Lisa was extremely unprofessional and rude to me. I had made an appointment to have a window fixed. We scheduled exact time to have services rendered on my vehicle. Her mechanic was more than 30 minutes late. When I called to find out where her mechanic was after 10 minutes she had the audacity to get an attitude with me because I was questioning where the mechanic was it's not raining there's no snow storm I'm not understanding why he couldn't get here on time and there was no traffic. She got upset and very rude because I called back twice (now the mechanic is half an hour late), she tells me I'm not going to take this job I don't like how you continuing to call and question where my worker is. Mind you I'm a consumer who's paying for services... Her entire attitude toward her mechanic being late was unwarranted, and unprofessional...All I wanted was to get my window fixed...Was it to much to ask, to have her keep her end of the arrangement and have her mechanic come on time.. I mean if the shoe was on the other foot I think she would have a different approach about it if he arrived on time but I didn't have the money to pay on time.. I'm pretty sure she would be singing a different song. I will never go to these people I would pay 2 times as much instead of give these unprofessional people my hard-earned money. Back in 2011, I was caught in a major hailstorm on the North shore of Long Island. Long story short, my front windshield on my 2004 Honda Civic was broken out. I initially called the well-known auto glass business hoping to either get a quoted and/or schedule an appointment. They put me through some automated system, the end result being a quote for over 250 dollars and an install date some two weeks later. Seeing that I commute from my house on Long Island to Westchester county and I needed to be at work, this was undo able. I started to call around to see if anyone could squeeze me in for the next day. This business was willing to accommodate me for the next day, and quoted me a price on the phone some 90 dollars less. I was sold. I had an appointment for the next day at 8am. The next thing I knew my car was inside being serviced, alongside half of Long Island. The price was correct, albeit without the tax (Hooray! No bait and switch!) They worked quick and my windshield was installed and I was out the door in less than 90 minutes. This place works with insurance, cause I billed my windshield thru Geico and other customers had State Farm and Allstate. All around a great experience. This is one of those places that you kind of don't want to end up at, but if you need one-go here! read more

Stay far away from this unprofessional environment. I had my front windshield replaced in November after someone tried to break in. After fixing it, I noticed water inside the car. At first, I thought maybe I left my windows down. After a torrential downpour, my car was flooded. I brought it to the dealer who said that it was the windshield. I brought it back to Nassau Autoglass. They said they "tested" it but couldn't find anything wrong with it. I brought it to another auto shop that said that it was the windshield. So now two different opinions stating that the windshield was not replaced properly. I brought it back to Nassau Auto Glass where they refused to fix it because THEY couldn't find anything wrong with the glass. Let's use common sense. My 2 year old car had no problems until I replaced the windshield and now it's flooding but Nassau Auto Glass doesn't want to fix it? Even with 2 professional opinions stating the problem is the windshield THEY replaced? Not only did they refuse to fix it, but the employees there are completely unprofessional and rude. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. You should be out of business the way you treat paying customers. read more

I can not say enough good things about this establishment. The owner Lisa was so helpful and professional throughout my entire dealing with the company. My car was side swiped while parked which left me with no side view mirror along with other damage to the car but the car was driveable for the time being while waiting for insurance to take care of the damages. I needed to get a side view mirror ASAP and she went out of her way to order it for me and get it color matched to my car. She rushed the shipping and within 2 days I was pulling into her shop to have it installed. I was in and out in less than 10 mins. Her guys were also very professional and knowledgeable.
