The gentleman running the rooms today was hands down the best I have seen in 20+ escape rooms. He was friendly and super helpful and you could absolutely tell he was enjoying his job. It was an outstanding start and finish to our experience! We did O'Bannions with a group of two and had just enough time. We felt the puzzles had just the right level of challenge and the room setup is excellent. We are already looking forward to coming back for the other rooms here. If you are looking for the best escape rooms in DFW you just found them. Highly recommended!

Don't remember though, sadly) was funny and interactive and the room itself was one of the most realistic and non-prop-looking I've ever seen. We did Wong's Chinese and were impressed by the real story touches to the set. All the puzzles felt good to solve and we had the perfect amount of hints to snag what we never would've noticed. Having a group of 8 worked to our advantage, and we were able to score top of the leaderboard, which was also cool. I'd recommend this place. It's a bit hard to find in an office building, but nothing too crazy. Warning: I've heard the Pharaoh one is very hard!!

When I say it was tough, that is an understatement. The room was low/no tech so I do feel like the price point was high for this room. Since it lacks technology and innovative puzzles I would have expected this experience to be priced at the low end of escape rooms, around $25. Our game master was attentive. We used two questions and both times she was quick to respond on the walkie talkie.

A Fun Family Experience Ruined by Unacceptable Customer Service…read more At the end of the activity, we were told we could either take our canvases home or leave them behind. Since the paint was still very wet, we decided to leave them. Some of us wanted pictures of our creations, so we briefly took the canvases outside to photograph them in natural daylight. We then placed the freshly painted canvases in the plastic bags provided to us and brought them back inside. When I asked the manager where we could leave the bags containing our canvases, she instructed me to find a dumpster outside the store. I asked whether we could simply leave them with the other canvases, as we had originally been offered, but she refused and accused us of leaving paint on the floor. Her tone and demeanor were unnecessarily confrontational. I then asked to use the restroom to wash paint off my hands, but she refused that request as well. She ultimately threatened to "red-list" me. The manager identified herself as Crystal.

What really sets this place apart is that owners Russell and Amber design and build these bespoke escape rooms themselves. You can feel the creativity, attention to detail, and passion that went into every puzzle and experience. The game masters were fantastic--friendly, helpful, and perfectly balanced between letting us enjoy the challenge and keeping the experience moving. From the moment we arrived, our entire group was treated with exceptional courtesy and professionalism. Coordinating an event for 30 people can be difficult, but The Grapevine Escape handled it seamlessly. Everyone had an amazing time, and people were still talking about their rooms afterward. If you're looking for a fun adventure, whether for a date night, family outing, or large group event, I cannot recommend The Grapevine Escape highly enough. We're already planning a return trip so people can experience different rooms!

The room that we did (Principal's Office) wasn't correctly set up. We ended up solving a 60 minute room in under 30... But only because key puzzles were solved purely on accident. Random magnets popped doors open prematurely, and cards weren't erased properly after previous users ( you could still see the writing from the last team). We could have overlooked some of this as flukes... But Amber, the "gamemaster" was patronizing and unhelpful. She wouldn't even take the time to explain how the puzzles should have worked. Instead, she claimed she had to get the room set up for the next group, and didn't have time to explain things to us... With 30 minutes still left on the clock! When you're spending the kind of money you are on an experience like this, the least one should expect is courteous, helpful staff, and a game room that works Save your time and your money.
