Nara is absolutely incredible. This was my first massage, and I left feeling completely relaxed. I originally came in with lower and mid-back pain, and she reduced it by at least 80%. She was able to find tension spots in my back and legs that I didn't even know existed. I'm a bigger girl, so I was a bit nervous going in and sometimes feel uncomfortable in my body, but Nara was incredibly respectful and made me feel completely at ease. My husband surprised me with a 90 min couples massage for my birthday. I was super excited as we had massages in and outside of the country. However, this place is not a place for us. Upon arrival there is a tall staircase in order to enter the business. Though this wasn't a problem for us, keep in mind if you have any disabilities. They also make you take your shoes off and slip into slides. Once again no big deal, but bring socks. Upon actually entering the waiting area, they had my husband pay right away, which I thought was a huge red flag. In all the massages we've had, we've never paid first. There was also a 3% fee for using a card despite our total being over $200+. We get into the room, located right by the entrance and it is freezing. My husband's bed was warmed, however mine was not. I have never seen or heard of a heated massage table, but with a drafty window a portable heater would have solved this issue. When the two massage therapists entered they did not greet themselves and started saying something in another language. Mine asked me light or strong. I told her medium as that is what I have always requested from other locations. After that she noticed the bed wasn't warmed, attempted to fix it, but it was broken: WE WERE NOT ASKED OR INFORMED we were getting a DEEP tissue massage. Considering what a deep tissue massage entitles, they also did not ask other important questions like areas of concern or injuries. The massage started with some oil and hot stones and quickly progressed to pain. All I kept thinking was what type of massage did my husband book. I grimaced, flinched, and yelped in pain. My person's only response was "oh you're sensitive" and she continued at the same strength/depth. 90% was jamming her elbow into every possible pressure point and directly into my bones. This was not only the most painful massage I have ever had, but the second most painful and traumatic experience in my life; internal bleeding being my number one. I have a high pain tolerance and not sensitive to pain. Even more than that, she did not respect that I left my panties on and pulled them down and lifted them up. I'm immediately cried when she finally finished and on the entire way home. To say the least my masseuse did not receive a tip. I'm on muscle relaxers and have multiple bruises. I will never be back and regret not sitting up and ending it. Everything from the base of my skull to my legs hurt; to put it in perspective I weigh 135 pounds and 5'5". IF you book a couples massage with them, do not assume you are getting a Swedish massage like most places, despite there being no option to select. read more

Nara offers the best team of massage therapists. If you need a strong massage, then this is your place. But if you require a more relaxing massage then they are also your go to spot. The massage rooms are large, comfortable and quiet. You're not hearing other people in other rooms like you might run into in other establishments. The space is beautifully designed. A very welcoming lobby with coffee, tea and bottled water. The front desk staff are friendly and efficient. And if you request, they will provide excellent stretch therapy. My boyfriend and I went to Nara's for our couples massage. Do notes the couples massage is a deep tissue massage. Our masseuse for sure got our notes and tight areas. The massage we booked was a one hour massage. Mine has a lot of back, leg, neck, and head massage. My boyfriend got the hot stones for a bit which I did not get (unsure why) but I was glad she focused on the areas I had tightness in. I am not new to massages, by a longshot. This was among the best I've ever had! I was surprised and delighted throughout the entire experience at this little gem of a place. After a warm welcome, I enjoyed deep tissue work, hot stones, hot oil, steamy hot towels; even stretching and a few moves that recalled Thai massage. I chose to get the deep tissue massage with Nara. Everything from start to finish including booking my appointment through their website was an easy experience. The place is new and the receptionist was polite. As for the massage, this was probably one of the best deep tissue massages i've ever gotten. Some places say it's a deep tissue massage but barely put any pressure on you. Nara took her time with me and really accommodated my needs and concerns with my lower back as i'm suffering from a bulging disc. Bella kept using a pressure on me that was too hard and painful. everytime I told her she just said ah ha this is the only way to fix it. I'm in more pain after leaving. I found a random deal for a couples massage and took a chance. So, glad we did. It was definitely a random building but we were greeted as soon as we made our way up the stairs. It's a beautiful facility, clean and so welcoming. The staff was nice and they were asking us how we were feeling often. Upon entering the room it was dimly lit, they had relaxing music playing and the massage tables were clean and warm (with warming pads and blankets).The massage itself was great. The masseuses were experienced and focused on areas we asked them to focus on. We did full body massages and we left feeling like jello. I don't know if the massage therapist was exhausted but this wasn't the massage I'd signed up for. I have neck arthritis so I have massages to help with pain management. I booked an appointment for a neck massage for 1-hour on February 1st @ 6PM; however, the therapist gave me lots of hot stones, heat pads, with minimal attention to my neck. I was completely confused and frustrated. I reached out to the business via email prior to writing this but never heard back from them.
