There were toilets for $950, sconces for $250, etc. I know some people have no problem paying these kinds of prices for "architectural" salvage, but we'll do our shopping at the Otsego ReUse Center.

The owners of Envision, Doug and Pam, and kitchen designer, Crystal, were very personable, knowledgeable, detail oriented and realistic - helping us to weigh the trade-offs and keep costs within our budget. We were extremely focused on craftsmanship and, having been completely satisfied with our previous Conestoga kitchen, we were pleasantly surprised and pleased that they carried this brand. The design process went smoothly and efficiently, with Doug coming out to the house and taking detailed measurements and then the group working with us to figure out the optimal design. We were impressed as they valued our opinions and considered everything we threw at them with patience and thought. They were able to mix that with their experience and skill to deliver top quality kitchen in a very reasonable time. We appreciated their extreme professionalism, efficiency and thoroughness with no short cuts and no high-pressure sales. As we walked through the process piece by piece, they were able to come up with a design that satisfied every aspect that we had asked and have it delivered on schedule! This was by far the best experience we have ever had with any contractor. They met all our expectation and more! The first is simple and contemporary, the second involved an intricate pattern of colorful tiles forming wall-size images. Sara worked with us on the design, asking many questions to understand our aesthetic aims and practical needs, and offering a variety of options for us to choose among to achieve our goals. She also provided a variety of very effective ideas and solutions, considering the physical constraints of the (relatively small) spaces, to ensure the best use of spaces and to create a very open feel in both bathrooms, all in a cost-effective manner. The actual construction was done in an extremely professional manner by workers who were not only highly-skilled but also friendly, considerate of our needs, and responsive to our questions and concerns as the projects progressed. Particularly impressive, amazing really, was the tile work performed by Cliff. The colorful bathroom involved laying more than 1,000 tiles, and cutting more than 100 tiles to create the intricate design. It also involved the fitting of the many tiles to very close tolerance specifications. Cliff was both masterful and highly conscientious in completing this tile work. The result is stunning. In addition, along the way in both bathrooms, specific questions arose about alternative approaches to implementing features of the design. Cliff identified and raised these questions for us to think about, and he offered aesthetically pleasing solutions. In short, Cliff's work was thoughtful, technically masterful, and informed by his strong sense of aesthetic beauty. We are most impressed by Kitchen and Bath World for their general approach, their implementation, and the final product in renovating both bathrooms. Kitchen and Bath World has our highest recommendation.

They staff had a good working knowledge of their product lines, but seem to lack in customer service skills (at least I thought so). Their prices are very good, but some items are hard to get quickly. Overall a reasonably good place to shop for home improvement needs, but not a ton better than the big box stores, in my opinion.

Requested custom deck doors from this vendor who provided us with one that had a faulty lock. When…read morethis was brought to the attention of our contractor who had installed them we received no calls from the vendor nor any attempt at ammending the situation. Also received what should've been brand new basement doors which arrived scuffed and stained. They looked like salvaged doors which could've been 1/2 the price of brand new doors. Overall the experience led to me to wish we had gone with a more detail oriented window vendor.
