As I drove into the parking lot I could see new signs and figured the original owners retired. I went inside and new menu without prices and some new pizza signs. Place was empty. Took a minute before I saw anyone. New owners. Looks like a young family. Assuming a mother and child appeared from around the corner. I told her I was picking up an order. She said it will be a few minutes. I said ok no problem. Another customer came in and she tended to him. A few minutes later a young man with long hair came in. He had a pony tail but no hairnet. Took the pizzas out of the oven and put them in boxes. I ordered 1 small cheese pizza 1 sm mushroom and bbq chicken 1 lg 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 cheese Came to $50.25 All of the pizzas were not fully cooked. "Crusts" were very thin and doughy. Pizza was more greasy than it used to be to be. Thin on the toppings. The slices I ate had 2-2.5 slices of pepperoni. The pepperoni's use to be plentiful and cupped. Crust was always cooked and never doughy. It was also at least twice as thick. I miss the previous owners, their hospitality and food. It's too bad they were there for 20+ yrs and wish them the best of their retirement. Based on my experience I'm assuming the new young couple owners never worked in the food industry before. You don't let young children behind the counter and in the kitchen area. Cooks should be wearing a hat or hairnet. Pizza was not even mediocre. I will not be going back.

The best part of the day though was the call for Ultimate Pizza on a solid recommendation from a South Shore Bar pizza fan. Orderd 5 pies around 4;30 to be ready in 30. Was timed perfectly. We came home opened up the boxes and said wow. They were all perfectly cooked with a nice burnt edge. We dug into 2 peperoni's, a hamburg, meatball and Hawaiian. The meatball was nice chunks peperoni had plenty spaced nice and close and the hamburg my buddy said was amazing. The bottom crust is solid and tasty not too much sauce but just enough to create a sauce cheese crust layered texture that was melt in the mouth delicious. It raveled 20 minutes well stayed hot and perfect, The picture is of the leftover which we put in the oven at 350 and darn if it wasnt just as good. In my opinion its better than Buddys or the Spa and on a par with Lynwood assuming you eat all those there as they all degrade with time and travel Not Ultimate though. It's our new pizza place.

I ordered the Yellow Fin Tuna, the rice was not cooked, and the sweet potatoes were hard and undercooked (also not very tasty). After two bites, I asked for an alternative dish, but instead of simply offering one, management interrogated me about whether the fish was bad too. I didn't want tuna à la carte . The taste of combo wasn't good either. So I didn't want the sides after tasting the first bites and I didn't order a side of tuna. In a follow up email the owner said he completely approved of how his team handled the situation as they are not a wasteful restaurant, so I was expected to keep the protein despite the unacceptable sides. Apparently, the new 2026 philosophy is: you get what you get, pay the fine-dining price, and don't complain. It's hard out here for restaurant businesses. As if it's not hard for customers that choose to dine there and pay very high prices to receive unacceptable service, confrontational management and subpar food. At these prices, I expect properly prepared food and basic customer service--not an interrogation, a lecture about food waste, and an assumption that the customer is wrong. Bottom line, they don't value the customer's dining experience, they have low quality standards, they can't cook rice and potatoes, and they lead their team to be condescending and rude. Not a formula for success. Just a matter of time .
