Donut was amazing, gave 4 stars since the selection is limited and it was hard to find. Bakery was inside Zippy's restaurant.

Hello ! I passed by Zippy's today and nothing has been done. You gotta go there and try the doors. I'm pretty disappointed. Oh well.

Early bird gets the worm…read more I've been to 85°C Bakery Cafe Ala Moana (85) multiple times and just realized I haven't written a review yet. This store had its soft opening in October 2022 and has expanded to another store in Kapolei August 2023. 85 hails from Taiwan and started business in 1984. They offer quality baked goods using Asian ingredients such as taro, mochi, sesame and pork sung (floss) and boba. There's also an extensive list of hot and cold drinks you can get here. There are over 1000 locations internationally with most of them in Taiwan and China. They can also be found in Hong Kong, Australia and USA. Like most bakeries, limited quantities of baked goods are offered during the morning and highly recommended to come here earlier in the day for a better selection. Most of my visits are sadly in the afternoon after work but my last visit was memorable. My friends and I just got through celebrating a friend's birthday at a nearby restaurant where on the way back to my car I made a pitstop to here. As expected the shelves were quite bare with limited offerings but they had what I wanted: marble taro. I had just eaten dinner and was full but picked one for the road and paired it with a taro lavender latte. I literally had no room in my stomach even though over an hour had passed since I got home so I had the roll and drink for breakfast the next morning. The marble taro roll was just as good as I remembered. It was soft with a nice texture contrast with the creamy, mashed taro paste in between. It had just a good amount of sweetness where I could indulge and not feel guilty. The star had to be the taro lavender latte which I didn't have high expectations for. I like to sample drinks with lavender as I do enjoy floral essence as it's not offered at many places. I had requested my drink to be 50% sweet, which was the right decision as I need to watch my sugar intake. Service was above average. It wasn't busy when I arrived so the line moved quickly. The guy at the counter was energetic and courteous which made my experience there pleasant. It was past 7pm where there were some people utilizing the dining area but it was quiet. 85 can be very lively during peak hours with heavy foot traffic. Overall, I'm a fan of 85 where I'll be sure to stop by again. Just need to be careful as my numbers for sugar and cholesterol are being monitored and I'm currently on medication.

I got a loaf of bread and something else. Approached the register. The girl manning the registered had her back turned and was on her phone. She did a side glance and saw me then messed around on her phone for another 20 seconds or so before helping me. Got out of there, went to CPK for dinner. Moving stuff around in our bags the loaf of bread fell out of its bag and directly onto the restaurant floor. COME ON GUYS. USE A TWIST TIE ON YOUR PRODUCTS. Same thing for the small item we bought. Not secured in its bag. Won't be going back to this absolute clown show of a bakery. Just get rid of it and bring back Pearl Nightclub.

I noticed it…read morewhen I was eating malasadas one morning and saw a small girl carrying around the cutest slice of rainbow cake. I was too full at the moment to order more food, but I returned on my last evening in Oahu to order a slice of rainbow cake for myself. It was somewhat early in the evening -- probably around 6PM or so -- so the Royal Hawaiian Center food court was getting a little busy but there were still empty tables around. The bakery itself had a few people in line so I perused the display case for other desserts. They had quite a few interesting ones: lilikoi basque cheesecake, Diamond Head puff custard, ube cake. Unfortunately, my appetite is much smaller than it once was, but the cakes looked delicious and the people in front of me all ordered their cakes ahead of time, so they are quite in demand! The cashier took my order quickly and I was able to get a slice of rainbow cake, which had fluffy cream and moist layers of colorful cake. The flavor reminded me of fruity pebbles, but without being overly sweet the way children's cereal used to be. I really liked eating it because it didn't make me feel guilty eating a dessert. I hope I can return to Kulu Kulu sometime and try their other desserts a well!

The awning above will say Waikiki Tea. It's immediately after an open parking lot if you're walking or driving down the one way street. I'm not sure if you can park in there or not but I found loading zone parking so I parked there and walked over. When you enter, you'll see some indoor seating, the coffee prep area and a display case of some of their cakes. It's a cozy spot but clean and white. My most recent visit was to pick up a birthday cake for a friend. He's been talking about it so I figured it would be something nice to surprise him with. Hopefully he enjoys the surprise and is able to share the cake with all his loved ones. Due to the holidays, Lady M is busy and sells out so preordering is best. I was just extremely lucky they had a Signature cake available the day I called. The person on the phone took down my info and asked what time I was going to pick up the cake then put it on the side for me. Unfortunately, they don't hand write Happy Birthday on the cake but they did provide me a complimentary Happy Birthday cake topper which was nice. Overall great cake option for any occasion.

Lady M on Beach Walk in Waikiki! What a gem!!! It's a small cake boutique next to towering hotels…read moreso it can be said missed. It doesn't look much from the outside. They have 3 free parking stalls. You can also find street parking either on Beach Walk or Saratoga Road. I walked in and was greeted with a friendly smile. His name is Kevin. You will also see a wide selection of Royce Chocolates display on the right side of the wall and in front of you the glass display of the world's famous Mille Crêpes. Kevin helped us decide on our black box Royce Chocolates. It's a little pricey but the black quality of the chocolate is divinely melt in your mouth full of rich, creamy goodness and delicious chocolate!!! Royce' is famous for the Nama chocolates all the way from Japan. But guess what?! You don't need to fly to Japan to get your hands on them! Just drive yourself to Beach Walk in Waikiki and I guarantee you'll thank me for it!! Yup, you will! ;) We also picked up a few flavors of the Lady M Mille Crêpes. We got Amedei Chocolate, Pistachio, Chestnut and Tiramisu. Each layers of the cake is made with perfection!!! I paired mine with an ice caramel macchiato. It would probably taste better with a hot caramel macchiato but it was a little sunny so I opted for the ice drink. The coffee is also sooo good!!! It almost remind me of the coffee I had in France! I thought I'd never find a better caramel macchiato here in Honolulu than Starbucks! I was completely wrong! Kevin, thank you so much for making my first visit so memorable! You were kind with a friendly smile and lots of aloha!!! Come visit Lady M! Whether you come in for their world's famous Mille Crêpes, Royce' chocolates or meet Kevin, I know you'll love this place! Thank you for reading my review. Have a great week!!!

The best dish was the spicy pasta (4/5). It was served hot and had loads of sauce that could've been used for nearly twice the amount of noodles. The Thai Thai noodle dish resulted in food poisoning, and the house special pizza tasted like the crust was frozen. Forgettable pizza. Known for desserts we bought 3 mini pastries, raspberry pistachio, apple, and coconut banana. Everything tasted old and stale. No one liked a single dessert. It's deceiving and a waste of money and calories. The cookies were so stale I ended up dumping everything. Service was the bare minimum. Never checked on us, never filled water, and just indifferent. I am only giving this place 2 stars because the spicy pasta was decent. Prices are on the higher end for pastries. The dinner means is varied and so are prices. The best part, tons of free parking.
