It was frightening with one leg out, & the other in & knowing one could give out -- don't want to fall in a bathroom! Well I called LJ & they were true professionals. The job they did is beautiful. They consulted us along the way. Compassionate, considerate & really nice too. Everything is beautiful & exactly what we hoped for. So wonderful to be able to shower & just pretty much walk in. A great decision with a great team! Don't hesitate, give Lucas a call.

Needless to say, those problem areas are still leaking. I've found more leaks with this new roof than I had with the 20 year old roof from the new construction. I had them come out to "fix" the areas that were leaking and they were here less than 15 minutes. It leaked again after that so they came back and put a some caulk down on a few nails. I'm still finding leaks all over the roof. Absolute crap work.

I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for quality, reliability and trust in a contractor. Very happy!!

Bill Leiker of the Virchau Co., is as good as it gets when you want a trustworthy and capable…read morecontractor to handle a construction project. He responded to my call quickly in March when we took ownership of an older house with good bones in need of a lot of TLC. I was impressed with the positive comments given by past references who described how he hung the moon. (Now I am another on that list.) The work was a few projects, including a gut job on the bathroom and kitchen that had him removing a partial wall separating our kitchen from the dining room to create more light and an open plan, replacing old electrics, replacing all molding, moving door jams, insulating walls, installing new kitchen cabinets from Kitchen World (which are great), and overseeing the work of the hardwood floor sander, plumber, and licensed electricians. For the bathroom, they removed 7,000 lbs. of lath, tile, plumbing, and materials from our 1940 original bathroom and created a beautiful new one that really complements the period of our house. I'm glad to share pictures with anybody. His prices are very fair. Bill's team are hard working guys who show up at 7:30 and work a full day with professional demeanor. They clean up each day. Bill took care of a few extra smaller projects that needed doing and it made me feel great. His team gives the kind of service that shows they care about how you'll live in the space, and it's refreshing. I'd recommend his work wholeheartedly.

Whenever deciding on a contractor, you also want fair prices, and no surprises, and A2Z did well on that too. We did have a hiccup however, the team made everything right in the end. We have 2 tips that we think can take the business to the next level. There must be a clear understanding between both parties when doing the estimate. This will reduce the need for scope creep in the project. For projects that require cleaning up, you need to make sure there is a plan to remove the trash. You take it with you, or it needs to be bagged in contractor bags to be put out periodically with the trash. I wish your business the best. I have no doubt that they will take these tips into consideration going forward. We will be in touch for the upcoming project.

This is not the review I wanted to write. I really liked Charlie, right up until he ghosted me for…read moretelling him that the spot in the doorway was lifted. February 18th Charlie started on my 856 square foot flooring project consisting of an alcove under the stairs, living room, dining room, kitchen, guest bedroom and hallway with 2 small closets. Removal of the old flooring and installation of the new, to include trim and quarter round on the kitchen island. I was to order all the necessary supplies. Everything went well with removal and most of the installation. Due to the house not being level, we had a small issue with the doorway to the guestroom. On March 3rd I told him, and we decided a transition strip would be a good solution. He finally came back on March 31st to fix that and install the stair nosing. When he went to install the stair nosing, we realized I ordered the wrong item. I told him I would message him when the right one came in. On May 12th I realized I had forgotten to message him so I messaged him to see when he could come finish that and he said he could probably come out around the 30th to the 1st. On June 1st at 7:44pm I asked if he was able to nail down a time to come out here. He said no later than Monday. Sunday June 8th, he asked me for pictures of the area because it had been a while since he had seen it and wanted to make sure he had all the right materials. I sent the pictures of the 2 spots that needed the stair nose and an additional text stating that there was a spot in the doorway that lifted and a picture of the area. That was the last time I heard from him. I texted Monday, Tuesday and today, all showing delivered but unread. My husband called him and it went straight to voicemail, then texted him and told me the imessages went from blue to green, showing he blocked him. He then called him using a VoIP number and Charlie answered on the first ring. When he said "hey, this is James" Charlie immediately hung up on him. We sent him a final text from a different google number saying "it's cool if you don't want to fix the problems and we won't contact him again, but it would've been nice to get an answer instead of being blocked" which was also ignored. The work that was done looks great but for the amount of money we paid him, we expected the job to be finished.Overall the work that was completed looks great and we are very happy with it. Unfortunately, not being completed as per the agreement cancels out the positive in this situation. I would normally give a glowing review for the work completed but as it is unfinished and we now have to hire someone else to complete the work we have already paid for I would not recommend him for future projects for anyone.
