I don't write many reviews, but Gabby absolutely earned this one. I started with an online inquiry and received a quick response from Napleton Mazda. I was then connected with Gabby, and from that point on, she took ownership of everything and made the entire process smooth from start to finish. I shopped several Mazda dealerships before making my decision, and working with Gabby is ultimately what brought me to Napleton. I had my heart set on a very specific CX-70 in Zircon Sand Metallic, and they were surprisingly hard to find. After test-driving one at another dealership, I knew that was the color I wanted. I called Gabby, expecting to hear, "Sorry, we don't have one." Instead, she immediately started searching dealer inventory and told me she'd do everything she could to find one. Was in the process of looking for a new car and Mazda stumbled into my algorithm. Took a look and of the other brands I decided on a Mazda3 Carbon. Tough car to find on lot but lucked out and after going through the approval and before picking my deal looked and saw the vehicle was at a sister dealership. Sent a message if vehicle can be brought down. Next day receive call text and email from Cynthia(she's a sweetheart) that the car I looked at was still in transit...but they received the same vehicle from a different dealer that's not on the site would I be interested. I told them absolutely if you can get it to Naperville. Next day car is in process of being moved and since I had previously shown interest they asked if I wanted to place deposit. During this time I had 2 other deals in limbo one with the competitor dealership they actually received the car from and my local Mazda. Both kinda didn't want to deal on a car in transit and just asked if I wanted to deposit to hold the car then deal. I called Cynthia back and verified a few details and time frames she sent those to the manager Brittany(another sweetheart) got all the details hammered out without wasting time standing in the dealership. Sales pack handed off to Adam who reached out to confirm when I'd come in. Showed up and for the most part deal was done. Aside from the 1 1/2 hours before signing. They stood by the numbers and because of that everyone that played apart in the purchase from Cynthia to Brittany, Adam to Tonie and Anthony were all solid. I was out of town, not near any Mazda dealer, when my key fob stopped working. I replaced the battery, not knowing that the fobs have to be resynched afterward. I located a dealer far from where I was, and they said it would be about $175 to have this done! My car was beeping, wouldn't start, and I finally found out that I had to start it by pressing the key fob to it. That worked, but it still has to be "resynched". I called Napleton to get their service and some guy said I had to get the special "Mazda Certified" battery, which is total BS. I asked for the service manager to call me back. He never did. The whole dealership shuffled me to sales, telling me the manager was at lunch (at 2:00), and I finally realized how down hill they had gone. It's too bad for them because I am looking to replace my 2016 Miata with the latest model. I will NOT be buying it from them. Service used to be really good in the past. Their Management is horrible. Stay away from this place. They lost a loyal customer. read more

I originally bought Mazda cx-5 over 2 years ago. It was sold as new but it had mileage plus I found a piece of paper inside my booklet with a previous gentleman that rent this car. I took my car to Naperville Mazda because my car had engine leak. They diagnosed wrong the first time and second time they said its another leak. I left my car for a few days and when I picked up my car i notice a dent on my hood and oil straw was different from the one I had originally. I spoke to service department manager and I also spoke to assistant B and I also contact main manager A but no respond. Repair service manager called and told me he will order the correct oil straw and he will call me when to bring the car back to fix the dent. I haven't heard from N since. I left several voice mails and still no call back Horrible experience. I do not recommend Mazda in Naperville or Mazda cars. Horrible experience!!!!!! Half a star service!!!!!!! read more

Dropped off my car to them at 730am on a Wednesday to Jaclyn told her the issues, she said we will definitely call you by 2pm with an update, doesn't, I call around 5 and she says they don't have any updates. I then let it go until the next day, called around 9am, 10am and 1030am, was transferred to the service center where phone would ring for 6-7min and I just hung up out of annoyance, finally called back and asked for the service manager, goes to VM. Called again and let the person know no one is picking up, she finally gets Neil the service manager to call back and he says ohh you're car is fine we couldn't replicate the issues, starts going over the issues and it's not even the same problem that I told Jacklyn in the first place (even emailed her videos of one of the issues) when I dropped off the car. So I tell Neil that's not the issue I dropped the car off for, he said ok well look at it and I'll give you a call, 3 hours go by and no call, I then call again same thing as before just ringing or someone picks up the phone and then hangs up without saying a word. Finally get a hold of Neil, he said he fixed the issue and drove my car around for 2 hours and didn't see the issue. Literally I pick up my car and the issue happened workin 20 minutes. Please do yourself a favor and just go to a different Mazda service dealer, they are incompetent and just don't care enough to actually service your car properly. I've never been so frustrated and lied to by a service center before, clearly all they want to do is hold your car long enough and say they can't replicate your issue so that they don't have to do their actual job. read more

DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP My son who has a 1-year-old CX-5 took it to get an oil change at Napleton Mazda of Naperville. Once the work was complete, he picked up the vehicle and drove away and upon driving on I-88 the car started to smoke very badly from the exhaust pipe, the engine lost power, and he had to pull over on to the shoulder on I-88 and contact the dealer about the issue. They towed the car back to the dealership and after looking at it they discovered they had overfilled the oil to the point where there was twice the amount of oil added to the engine. Due to the long-term problems that can occur from adding twice the amount of engine oil and driving it on the highway, my son asked if they would extend the powertrain warranty due to their mistake as the car is only 1 year old and Napleton Mazda of Naperville said they would not. The dealership is completely at fault and will do nothing to make it right. Once again consumers be aware as these are the dealerships that do not take responsibility for their actions and just walk away from their incompetence. You think Napleton Mazda of Naperville would have integrity and stand by their service as we all know cars are extremely expensive these days and for a dealership to overfill the oil like that and just say there is nothing wrong is very dishonest. Please take your business to a different dealership so you are never subjected to an incident like this. read more

I purchased my vehicle from this dealership and have been a service shop patron for several years. Service was decent, but concerning and annoying. I didn't appreciate the tech throwing out a cabin filter I had installed the day before, replacing it, and my being charged $24. I didn't realize this until days later. This raises my concern if he doesn't take the time to correctly perform such a simple task, is my car being adequately serviced? I'll be visiting my independent repair shop for service going forward. read more

I purchased my CX-50 here because of their availability. I love the look and feel of the car. I was not impressed with my sales person who was not fully aware of the features of the car. I was most certainly not happy with the add-on costs the dealership places on the car. When working out the final numbers with the sales manager, he seemed unhelpful on trying to explain your breakdown. It's all estimates of course, but for someone in finance myself, the numbers were not adding up. If you have to work with the sales manager, he is aggressive and condescending. Additionally, the car has 1600 miles on in 2 months and I've had to bring it in for alignment issues. Service can't get it right. 3 stars for their large inventory and eagerness to get a deal done. read more

Would give zero stars if I could. This used to be a decent dealer but is now Napleton Mazda of Naperville, a dishonest and unethical place. December 2022 I went to Napleton Mazda of Naperville to purchase a 2023 CX-5. The sales manager assured me that he could sale the car at a fair price without markups or dealer installed accessories. That was well and good the price was good until I got to financing and was pushed a high APR. Neither the salesman nor the finance manager provided what the financing options were, even after asking several times. In the finance office I was repeatedly lied to about the finance rates as the finance manager kept assuring me they were all coming up over 7% when I have an excellent credit score. I understand the market is tough right now but interest rates are not this bad for well qualified buyers. In the finance office we asked several times for the finance manager to run financing through Mazda, which he never did, and instead turned around shuffled some papers and claimed it would was 7.9% for 72 months. I know Mazda is currently offering 5.29% for 72 months after verifying online and calling other Mazda dealers including other Napleton Mazdas. I was swindled into signing as he said that's what rates are and that they would only be increasing the longer I wait. I didn't want this crazy high APR, I came in to purchase a car not a house. I have called and talked to another finance manager only to be disregarded and he acted like he knew nothing about Mazda's rates. I'm still waiting for a call back from the GM. My family now owns 5 Mazda cars. After this experience, Mazda and all Napleton dealers have lost all our future business. My family and I were repeat customers at this dealer and were treated with nothing but dishonesty. This is a dealer to avoid at all cost.... read more

If you are willing to wait a few weeks there are dealers out there that will order you a brand new car and sell it for 0 over MSRP. beware of these parasites knowingly ripping people off in order to stay fat. read more

I went to this dealer based on a recommendation from my credit union used car purchasing program. The salesperson tried to force me to buy a paint waxing program for $1,000 claiming it was "mandatory" , until I pointed out that that is illegal - and then the story changed. The finance people offered me a prepaid maintenance program that no one will accept and changed the terms without my noticing so that the average oil change costs me $250. These are just a few of the examples of the kind of crap you will experience at this dealer unless you have the good sense to go elsewhere. Purchases my used Mazda from this dealership 3 years ago. Thought I could trust the service center but I was wrong. I have been told the last 2 times I went that I should get new front brakes. After getting a new set of tires I was told the brakes are down to their last 5%. Shopped around for price so decided to get them done at my local mechanic. Dropped off the car this morning and the mechanic called to say they are at 50% and have plenty of time left. Meanwhile there is battery acid all over the top of the battery and that checked out as fine just get it cleaned. After speaking with the manager their they apologized and offered a free car wash. Thanks but no thanks. An $8 car wash does not make up for trying to rip me off for $800. read more

First time servicing my 2016 Mazda. Car has 74,000 miles and I brought the car in for a brake fluid change-out and basic oil change. I told the service advisor that I did the rear brakes/rotors, AT fluid, and spark plugs last week myself. A different advisor came to me when the car was done and said the technician recommended: 1. spark plugs 2. AT Fluid 3. Coolant The only service of the 3 recommended at 75,000 is the spark plug one, so I understand suggesting that one (even though I told the original advisor I just did them) AT Fluid is "lifetime" according to Mazda, so they should NOT be recommending that service unless the customer asks for it. Coolant is listed as 120,000 miles or 10 years, so why are they recommending this service at 74,000 miles and 5 years?! This just makes the customer feel like they are being squeezed for preventative maintenance that is not required. I got home and found a plastic ventilation duct sitting in the footbay area of the right front passenger. This is odd, since the car looked "showroom" on the inside as I delivered it to them for service and had no parts sitting on the floor. I did some investigation and ended up pulling off a plastic covering near the left passenger foot and looked up inside the "HVAC stack" and found a hole that looked like it fit the part. I snapped it back into place. I mean, seriously? Why are they removing this part? And second, it troubles me that they wouldn't replace it before returning the car to me. I listened to a nearby customer getting the rundown on his car that had nearly identical miles as me. He was recommended for spark plugs, coolant flush, CV joint boot replacement, front brakes, fuel induction system service, and an alignment. He ended up spending $1,000 and put off most of these other services. Enough of the troubling comments. I will say that their communication is 5-star with the customer. Scheduling was super easy, and the video of the car that they text to you is pretty cool. As well, the prices for basic services seem reasonable for a dealer. The car was returned after a complimentary wash - nice touch and expected at a dealer these days. read more

I bought tires from Mazda Continental of Naperville. Part of the deal for buying the tires was that there would be free tire rotations. I was charged at my last visit for this service. When I called I was told Napleton bought out Continental and is not honoring this agreement. I wasn't told when I scheduled service. I called and there was an apology for the no notice but no adjustment. Heads up if you had any service agreement with the prior owner. Looks like those are gone with the new owner. Maybe some sort of notice should have gone out to regular service customers? Not sure if this will change my service dealership, but it was kind of crappy. read more

On 1/4/22, I brought my 20 10 Mazda CX9 GT AWD to the Mazda dealership for an oil change. They did the oil change and charged me 59 dollars for the service. When I was returning home, at traffic lights during idling, I could smell oil burning smell inside the cabin. I thought maybe a small old oil fell onto the exhaust and might be generating this smell. The next morning, I found an oil leak, from the front half of the vehicle, on my garage floor. But after a few days, the cabin smell was there each time I was idling. I brought back the car and told them about this issue. They told me that everything was fine. Yesterday, I made a trip to Lake Geneva. This morning there was a lot of soot on my driveway and garage floor, which is difficult to remove. It looks and smells like burnt oil. I am going to call them again tomorrow to explain the situation. They need to fix this and clean my garage floor of soot. read more

Very slow service for a simple fix. They had my vehicle overnight because they were booked for the day. Had an early morning appointment for the next day, called later in that day and they hadn't even looked at my car despite me having the first appointment of the day. Ended up not finishing until the day after in the afternoon. Only thing they had to do was jumpy my car and make a new key. Took them over 24 hours after my scheduled 7:30am appointment to do so. Recently bought a 2007 Hummer H3 but before I bought the vehicle there was a problem with it. They claimed they fix the problem, so I purchased the vehicle. The same night I drove it home the check engine light came on and the vehicle vibration came back. Called them the next day and they said they would fix it at no cost. Unfortunately they can't fix it and told me to take it to Napleton Chevrolet and they'll fix it. Now Napleton Chevy said it's going to cost me $650 or probably more! I also purchased a warranty that Napleton clai6woyld help and the warranty company says its not covered. I only had the vehicle for a half day so far. I told them to cancel the purchase cause it's a lemon and they said I can't do that. That im stuck with the vehicle and have to pay for it to get fixed. I DEFINITELY WOULDN'T GO THERE. CROOKS!!
