Please don't go here!!! My girlfriend took her car in for a FREE warrantee fix and when we came to pick it up the bill was $1600!!! First they told us we needed a new battery!! But we knew that was a lie cause we got a new one 2wks before we brought it in!! Then when we called them out on it they made it seem like the don't recommend the one we have. The one we had was installed by another Hyundai dealership. Idiots! Next they said I need a wheel alignment, which I agreed to have done. We picked it up again and the alignment was worse then it was. The second I take my hand off the wheel while driving it hooks to the right. This place lies to make themselves more money and they don't know anything about their customers. They tried to convince me to get a new version of my car and they would be able to lower my monthly payments. The only thing was, I OWN MY CAR and have no monthly payments. Jackasses! I have never written a review before but had to after having had such a poor, disappointing and frustrating experience with this dealership. We bought a 2017 Santa Fe on 7/25, our 4th car from this dealership. Both salesman Marc and sales manager Dan failed to order the 2nd fob that was supposed to come with this Certified Pre-Owned car. Our calls to them regarding the status of the fob went unreturned. We had been told it would only take 15-20 minutes to program the new fob; we were there for an hour and a half! (The only person who followed up with us as promised throughout the actual programming process was Andrew in Service.). Needless to say, we love Hyundai's but have no intentions of returning or referring friends/family to this dealership. read more

They took complete advantage of my stepson who was purchasing his first new car. He is not a native English speaker and only moved here from Europe a few years ago. It was an experience that left him disappointed and with a bad taste for American business practices in general. They sold him a car that they new had a bad starter. Unfortunately my son never started the car himself...they conveniently had the car running each time he should test drive it. The door handle cover was missing, there was a hole in the tail pipe, there were loose pieces under the body of the car....a $10,000 car mind you!!! Then when my husband tried to call and speak with the manager, he was arrogant and rude! Tried to make it seem like he was working with us on a solution that was not a solution at all!! Only would have cost my son even more money. In hindsight we ever should have let our son go to purchase a car by himself, but we wanted to give him the opportunity to be proud of his accomplishments and purchasing experience. The whole experience was exactly what gives used car salesman a bad name. Shame on you all!! read more

I don't usually write reviews, but this year I kind of made myself a promise that I'd give an Accolade when it's due. We had just left Gregory Hyundai, my daughter needing a college car, we're really set on a certified Hyundai, either an Elantra or a Sonata, she liked the Sonata, we saw it online and it's on the piece of paper that we brought in that the car was certified, however the salesman was asking for an additional $1,700 for certification fee and that's what threw me off, I can't believe that they're advertising a certified car, here we are looking to buy that car, all the sudden it's $1,700 more if we want it certified!?? I was under the impression that the vehicle was already certified and I was extremely upset and appalled, especially because I called my wife and told her we had just made the deal and now I got to call her back and explain why the deal didn't go through and it created a big fight with in my family just because of this one additional fee, that was a surprise to everybody, we were strongly under the impression certification was included in the price. Everything from the start seemed off to me, we were there for over 3 hours and I can almost promise you 45 minutes of that time was us finding parking! Luckily for us, there was a Hyundai dealership not too far in Glenview. Loren Hyundai, and I was already irritated that I must say, I might have taken it out on John who was our sales consultant at Loren Hyundai, he walked out and directed us where to park, of course because of the experience that we just had over at Gregory, I kind of already assumed it would happen at Loren as well and I'd like to take this time and just apologize to John Adamidis, he really made us feel at ease and really showed us what an easy process car buying is and he's right it's easy, it's just you have to run into the right salesperson sometimes and boy am I glad we ran into John. We didn't tell him that we were coming from the other dealership, he was not pushy at all, I immediately can sense he's been with Hyundai a very long time because he knew exactly what questions to ask to help us narrow the gap between the Sonata and Elantra. Daughter liked the Sonata better, they had a good selection of colors I must say, and I'm sitting in John's office , and I can't believe this is going so smoothly, I'm almost waiting for them to Fumble it and sure enough here comes the manager and I thought this was it, I told my daughter to get ready, we might be walking out of here, all he did was wanted to meet us and find out where we're from if we service here or not if there's any way we can take our car here, they have a award-winning service department from what I was told and simply thanked us for our patience and business!! (We've only invested maybe 45 minutes and that included 2 test drives. He also gave us a time expectation of when he thinks will be finished signing out for this deal. things I didn't ask for that was so nice to hear this time when my wife called me, it seemed like I was on top of it and I knew all the answers to every question she asked. I'm just blown away and wowed!!! How easy John Adimidis , and his managers treated us I can't believe the difference, there's no way and we're a Hyundai family, there's no way I would go back to Gregory and Highland Park and it's a shame because I live near there, but there's no way after how I was just treated here!! I took my car here to get serviced because something was wrong with it. They gave me the run around several times and misdiagnosed my car to where I had to go to Autozone because they weren't telling me the truth. When I figured out the issue, I went to my dealership where I originally bought my car, and the issue was covered under my factory warranty. Unfortunately Loren Hyundai wasn't willing to fix my car because of some BULLSHIT. They told me I needed an entire new motor which would be $500, yeah okay. Beware of bait and switch. Negotiated price over the phone on Thursday for a specific car and color. Raven-the online sales person-said they have every color except gray available of this model. Made an appointment for Saturday to buy/pick up car. Arrived for appointment with Dave Choi the sales manger. Only to be told that they don't have the car and they never had in stock. They were going to get it from another dealer but that dealer wasn't calling them back. They also said there was only 2 of this particular model within 200 miles. Of course this contradicts everything that we were told. David Choi was rude and unprofessional, basically denying everything that we were promised. I am not sure who is worst, this dealership or Grossinger in Lincolnwood! If you own a Hyundai stay away from both of these dealerships for service. After having a horrible experience at Grossinger Hyundai I decided to give this dealership a try. Every time I came here it went from bad to worst! Last Tuesday was the last time I will ever visit this dealership. I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. When the service was complete they gave the car back unwashed. I nicely asked if they can run it through the wash. The manager Rick did take the car and washed it. After, I was in the parking lot just drying the car and the service manager comes and closes the car door on my fingers. Now I have a bruised up and bleeding finger. He is lucky I am not the sue crazy person over something like this since I am in horrible pain! But all I got for that was an "I'm sorry" but still paid full price for the service. To make matters even worst, once I got my finger somewhat patched up with a bandaid, I got in the car to drive off only to hear a horrible sound coming from the car as I drove off. I went back to get that checked out. I do not know how the $@#% anyone can do a tire rotation and forget to tighten the wheels back on the car. Two wheels were loose! How does any professional do that? They are lucky again that the wheels did not fall off the car!!! Also, how were they able to get the car through the wash and not notice that is beyond me! I'm writing this review based on the incredible experience I had with Dan Meegan, one of the Sales Managers at Napleton Loren Hyundai. I came to Dan a the end of my rope. My 2015 Hyundai had been leased through Grossinger Hyundai in Lincolnwood,and after multiple unreturned phone calls from them plus a bizarre interaction where the phone rep insisted that she had spoken with me and had scheduled an appointment with me (both untrue), I was on the search for a Hyundai dealership that would provide some much needed honest customer service. Enter Dan Meegan. Dan promptly returned my email and understood that it was easiest for me to correspond via email versus over the phone due to my schedule. Positive points for this. I can't tell you how many times I tried to email Grossinger and only received phone calls in return. What is the point of asking you to email me if you just continue to call me?! UGH! Anyway - so Dan and I proceeded to email throughout the day while I explained my situation and he searched for what might be a good solution. Do you know what the solution ended up being? Waiting and not leasing a new car right now. I am not sure what other dealership would have been this honest with me. Instead, they would have finagled to get me in, fast talked me into confusion and then put me in a lease I was uncomfortable with. Not Dan. I cannot tell you how much his honesty and interest in doing the "right thing" meant to me. I can lease/buy a car anywhere - but without a doubt, at the end of the year, I will be going to see Dan at Napleton Loren Hyundai. Such a great guy. My 41 years of wonderful experiences of leasing new cars in Southern California came to a crashing halt yesterday with Jimmy, the general manager at Napleton Hyundai Glenview Dealership. I should have read the negative reviews on Yelp before contacting them but was in a rush to lease a vehicle. Over the phone, Jimmy quoted a price for a particular Hyundai with the 4 items we needed. When my husband walked into the dealer, that original quoted price changed along with the amenities we requested. Jimmy says one thing on the phone, but the finance people at the dealership say another. CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH! Big mistake -due to our immediate situation we leased the car but felt totally cheated and disappointed. These guys are not straight shooters -period. Beware! read more

My 2.5 year old Hyundai Elantra died in the middle of the highway. Hyundai towed my car to Loren Hyundai in Glenview- the dealership where I purchased the car. The service person I spoke with sent me an email confirmation saying that my car would be looked at at 7:15 AM the next morning. At around noon, I was surprised they hadn't called to give me an update after the appointment. I finally called and their response was, "What car?" I had explained that HYUNDAI had towed the car and HYUNDAI sent me a confirmation for an appointment. How could they not know what car? Once they found my car, they had to "find my keys". It wasn't until early afternoon they found my keys and said they would "maybe be able to squeeze in my car" to be looked at. You can imagine my frustration when not only did they not look at my car that morning, they had no idea that it was even there!!! I received the worst service by the service manager when I questioned why a dealer would not contact the customer when they can't find someone's keys/car. Needless to say, I highly recommend using a different Hyundai dealership!!! read more

Went in there to look at the Used 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited Ultimate - they offered me at $34,900 when it shows on their website for $32,540 when it was at Mileage 15,055 Trim Limited Ultimate Stock # P934 VIN KM8SR4HF6HU168546 Exterior Color Storm Blue Interior Color Beige Drivetrain Front Wheel Drive The sale guy is using for his transportation and had 16,578 miles on it with filthy smells of cigarettes. He was very patient, helpful and knowledgeable when it came to her questions on the car and all the functions work. I drove over an hour to the dealership last weekend to test drive a car I had been monitoring on line for a couple of months. The price was steadily dropping and I felt it was time test drive the car. First we get there and there was no opening in customer parking so we parked in the only open spot by the used cars. Car soon as we got out someone started yelling at us we couldn't part there and we would have to move. After making it really clear there was no other spots he just mumbled and walked away. I should have left then. I see the car I am looking and The salesman Larry gets the keys and we go for a ride. I notice the odometer has the exact same millage as the website which mean they have had it for three months and not a single test drive. Larry seems to know nothing about the car but I do and I like it. When they had me a quote it had about 4k in add on charges including $1500 for pinstriping and detailing. None of this is listed on there website not even in the fine print. The manager Jimmy said this is normal and all cars they sell have this. I get the $1500 taken off but it is still two grand above what they are advertising. I leave and they call later and say they are losing money but they will go down $250. I show the quote to a relative in business and he could not figure out what all the vaguely labeled add-ons were. Based on sale price on the reduced quote the total he came up with was about $1300 less. Do not go here. It's a shame because I really like the car. read more

We were willing to negotiate and had a trade in. The finance person tried to put us in a smaller, less expensive car. He started talking down to us. We had money to put down too. My 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe turned off while I was driving it. Brought it here for service, they changed a part, charged me $380.00. Two weeks later the car turned off when I was on the highway. Brought it back, they changed another part and charged me another $182.00. They have had my car for a total of 21 days, I had to rent a car the first time for 10 days. They charged me $10.00 per gallon of gas as the mechanic was driving my car home to see if it would turn off on him, it did turn off while he was driving it. I just picked up my car, they can't guarantee it's fixed. If it shuts off again I have to keep paying until they figure it out. The manager of the dealership said no one is perfect and that I still have to pay even though the first part didn't fix the issue. Outrageous service and treatment for someone that has owned 4 Hyundai cars. read more

My wife and I went to a number of dealerships looking for the perfect used car for her. The guys at Loren Hyundai were very open and honest about their inventory. They weren't vulturous when we walked in, they were very friendly and laid back. They allowed us to browse without being in our front pocket the whole time. We found the car we wanted, and Jim Tewksbury did everything he could to fight for us internally and get us the best possible price he could. Their business manager Mark Benny was young, super sharp, and did some creative maneuvering to get us a great rate for the 2008 Veracruz we purchased. I've read some bad Yelp reviews here, but I did not see any of the things people have claimed. Staff never got back to me and hung up on me. David Choi, the General Manager was too busy eating lunch. Dan Magen promised to get back to me, but didn't. If you are looking to be straight up lied to and have a terrible car buying experience, this is your place. Let me start by saying I purchased my car here two years ago and it was the worst experience. The staff is beyond rude and the process took hours. They wouldn't even look at me while they spoke to me. I have been back several times for service and nothing but lies. I had one of the service gentleman tell me I need new brakes and as he walked away, another employee came up to me and said not to listen to that guy and it's all a scam. That should never happen between employees. I'm not sure if he thought he was being cool and slick but how unprofessional! I went back again for a routine oil change and was told again my brake pads and rotors need replacement. I couldn't do just the pads because the rotors were rusted and need total replacement as well. I took my car to another Hyundai dealer across town and they informed me the rotors were fine and I just needed new pads. When I asked what the brake pads measured, the guy wouldn't tell me. He just said I'm endangering others on the road! I know brakes are important but come on. I asked for the measurement and he said he has to ask the service guy. He had no idea what he was talking about. Probably thought he could pull one over on a young female - well, sorry, not happening. Every time I go in they tell me I need a new air filter and bring out a filthy air filter that is not mine. I know because I just replaced mind with a brand new one. Scam. Had the car in several times for a grinding noise when starting and service kept telling me nothing was wrong and they can't recreate the problem. They didn't want to fix anything because they couldn't charge me since it was under warranty - that's all. I went to a different Hyundai dealer and they found the problem (CVVT's) and replaced right away under warranty. I've beyond disappointed in the service and staff here. I hope sharing this prevents others from going through the hassles and lies of Loren. I know one thing is for sure - I will never return not even for a car wash! STEER VERY CLEAR! read more

My husband and I went to the dealership last Saturday and had very bad experience. Mr. Chang, a salesman, was nice but had trouble answering our questions. The two managers were totally unfriendly and didn't care potential customers at all. One manager, a white man, is borderline rude. The other manager, a Korean man, completely ignored us even when he gave us a price quote. He may only speak three words to us: yes, sure, ok. We are looking to buy a Kona but not sure if we would go back to the same dealership. I had $50 test driving coupon printed out from the Hyundai website but have not heard anything back from the dealership. I was told I would receive an email about the $50 Visa card. First I was told that the real price was $1,000 higher than the quote I had received, then I was told that my number was correct. After a discussion with his manager, the salesman came back and told me that he couldn't meet my price quote after all - PLUS several discounts had already been included in his higher number, and those discounts wouldn't go into effect until July. Really? Then why were they included in your April quote? RUN, do not walk to any other dealer. read more

They sent me the quote which was $4,000 dollars higher than a competitor. That other dealer in Downers Grove provided a detailed out the door quote including taxes, state fees, etc. I questioned them on why it was suddenly SO much more and I was told I had to purchase the interior and exterior protection package for thousands of dollars. These options are an OPTION that isn't purchased unless the buyer wants them. These are grossly overpriced options that dealers always try to sell then you when you are with the finance manager closing the deal on a new car. My first experience here. I brought the car in for a safety recall. I had to leave a message in order to make an appointment. They were able to accommodate me the next day and completed the work while I waited. My complaint has to do with the service rep. He told me that the car needed a $900 timing belt and handed me a glossy brochure. He said that failure to replace the belt could result in ruining the engine. He wasn't quite sure if it needed to be done at 60k or 90k. It turns out it needs to be done at 90K. I will have it done elsewhere. read more
