Bought a Cadillac CT-6. Good price, but they failed to tell me the car had been in an accident. Then, they washed the car, and it fell off the wash rack...causing about $6,500 in damage. While they accepted full responsibility, they made my insurance pay first...then subrogated the issue; now my insurance company is threatening to raise my insurance. They did fix the car satisfactorily, but the hassle was horrible. I asked that they reduce my lease payments by one (payment) due to 5.5 weeks of hassle without having it. They totally refused; nor did Cadillac do anything to make me happy. Totally unacceptable. read more

Just bought a 2018 Escalade sales person was great everything was good until I got in the car and there was 1/4 tank of gas!!! I have bought at least 6 cars and I really have to say this was this was the worst dealer I have ever had by far. I have written corporate to request a formal complaint form. I had a salesperson named Ryan Sammartino that played more games and was so incompetent and unhelpful. I've never worked with a salesperson more unwilling to make a sell. He actually let this car get sold right out from under me while I was in his office. And also had the audacity to tell me so. Please stay clear of these ethics. I find it disturbing that this kind of caliber person would work at Cadillac. I'm interested in what corporate will say about the poor representative that is employed at this Northbrook dealer. This is a review for their Collision Center. Run, don't walk! It absolutely blows my mind that a collision center attached to a Cadillac Bentley dealer is putting out work that makes Maaco look like the creme de la creme. I had my 2015 Lincoln MKZ hybrid in for a minor repair after my dealer buffed through the clearcoat on my fender trying to remove a scratch, My dealer sent it to their "trusted" bodyshop to fix. Needless to say the first attempt was an utter failure. They didn't mask off anything, overspray everywhere including my chrome trim and headlights. Then they didn't remove any trim pieces to wrap the paint around the edge, they just taped them off including the fender lip. Within 30 days that leader clearcoat edge started flaking off severely as they also never attempted to wet sent the edges to make it look presentable. I complained and they took it back and now 5 months later the clearcoat is flaking off in huge chunks near the door. On top of that Lincoln sent my car to them for warranty work on the inner door seam seals that were failing. There were to remove the old seam sealer, grind, prime and paint. The finished product looked like a 6 year old it did. So many bubbles and over spray it as embarrassing to open my door. They got so much overspray on my lower rocker panel that the dealer sent it back to them, they attempted to repair but rough sanding it but never buffing it so i got it back with a dull spot on my rocker pandel I called Lincoln customer service and sent them picture and they said they have never seen a botched job so bad and was shocked the dealer gave the car back to me in this condition and was even more shocked that a Lincoln dealer would use a body shop this poor. I'd love to get my money back but i know that won't happen. Instead i notified the BBB and the Illinois Attorney General. There are so many better body shops out there. Stay away from these hack jobs. They are truly the worst of the worst. Response to Steve Foley's customer service: There were no previous repairs. You must be thinking of another customer. There was one small spot in the fender that needed repair and I was given a quote that I promptly accepted. I'm done with you guys. Shoddy work anyway you look at it. I'm going through the Illinois Attorney General to take it from here. You guys already attempted to fix your shoddy work and failed again. Peeling clearcoat, paint on trim pieces, headlight and front bumper is just ridiculous. I didn't ask for a budget job, I asked for a proper repair from a Cadillac Bentley bodyshop. Now I have to take it to a real body shop to fix your mess. You turned. Minor problem into a major problem. read more

I expressed interest to this dealer on a used minivan last week, and the price was pretty good for the mileage on the van......it took them 4 days to come out with the truth on the final price on the van.....Advertised price was $17,995, so I figured they'd add tax tiltle and license, and perhaps one of those rediculous Doc fees they've started charging just to do thier jobs.....Nope. SCAM ALERT!! I bought a used Cadillac from a different delaership in the napelton auto group 3 years ago and was very pleased with my experience and I loved that car. The car unfortunately got totaled. I wanted to stay within the napelton group because of my experience the first time. My first call was to the same dealership but they did not have any Cadillacs and I was brand loyal at that point. I found a used Cadillac CTS at this dealership through cars.com with an internet price of $14,995 with 29,355 miles. Which cars.com put at a good deal. So I called the dealership and they confirmed the car was on their lot and they confirmed the price. Then I did all the usual checks blue book, black book, NADA to see where the car was priced. It was high but within range so I decided this would be the car I would want if everything was in the shape it should be. This dealership is over 2 hours from where I live so I also wanted to confirm what other used CTS models they had on their lot in case for some reason I did not like the one they had because if I'm driving that far I would want to purchase off their lot. One out of the 3 cars on their site was located in Calumet City but they said they might be able to get it to this dealership. They said they would call me back and let me know. A few hours ticked by and no call back but I REALLY needed a car before the weekend was up for work on Monday and the CTS I was very much interested in was confirmed on their lot. So I drove out to them, test drove the car, checked everything over. It was in good condition except for some big scratches on one of the wheels. All in all I liked it so we went to talk numbers and to my suprise I was informed the car was $1,970.00 MORE than the internet price. I was told their was a dealership prep fee and a special protective car coating fee that was not included on the internet price. I told my rep that you have to be kidding me... I am in sales and if I did that to my customers they would tell me to pound sand so fast my head would spin. He said that's what the price is and that they get calls from all over the country so it is what it is. So I said I'm leaving. He walked out and came back in and said well maybe I can take one of these off. I said you absolutley need to take both of these off I do not do business this way. He said make me an offer and I said 13,800 which was reasonable when you took the scratches into account and I was told that wasn't going to happen because the price of the car was $16,965.00 and I told him that the price was $14,995.00 which was advertised. He said it was in perfect condition and I said even in perfect condition the car is worth a little less than what you advertised online but the wheel is all scratched up and a replacement is around 700-800 dollars. So I left. I had spent my whole day and 4 hours worth of driving trying to do business with this dealership and was prepared to buy a car from them that day but that chased me out of there very quick. If this is what they do just on price how can you trust that they are not acting in similar taste with the car itself. I am in my 20's and will have many more cars in my life and my hope was that in 1 year to 2 years I would be back to buy a brand new CTS and I wanted to buy from the same dealership if possible and same auto group at very least. The dealership, the auto group and Cadillac lost my business for life. I expect a certain level of ethics and judgement from a Cadillac dealership which was not provided. I had to get a car for work so I ended up buying a fully loaded Chrysler 300L. The price was as advertised and the level of ethics and consideration were head and shoulders above this dealership. We purchased a new Cadillac SRX less than 1 month ago and drove it for less than 200 miles before it was stopped dead on the side of the road and needed to be towed back to the dealer. That was bad enough but it has been 1 week without a car or any information from the service department concerning what they are going to fix or how long it will take. Very unacceptable after spending over 40 k on a new car. I will update this review depending upon how the service worsens or improves. At this point very disappointed in Steve foley Cadillac. Update: Harvey the technician is terrible. Has been constantly chased for updates and can't even provide the approximate date that the parts may arrive to begin the repair let alone fix the car. My position stands STAY FAR AWAY From Steve foley Cadillac. Will keep you updated with their progress although it has degraded from very poor to horrendous at this point. Only possible bright spot is that IRv the salesman says he will follow this to make it better. No signs of improvement yet. Received the car back after three weeks. It was extremely dirty with greasy fingerprints all over the white paint and interior. Spent 120 to have it detailed today. This place continued to disappoint every step of the way. Highly caution anyone who would consider using this dealership for sales or repairs. Worst overall experience. read more

I was initially impressed with this place. But since I have owned the car, I didn't get the "deal", THEY got the "deal". I waited to post this because I wanted to be fair in my review and not be angry. I asked the salesman how the brakes looked during their inspection, the answer was "great". Within 3 months, I had no brake pads or rotors left. Even I cannot go through brakes that fast and I never have in my entire 35 years of driving. I asked if they detected anything in the engine, leaks, etc. The answer was "Not one". Within 1 month I had a minor oil leak. Over the next few months this oil leak grew to massive. When I took it in to BMW, they wanted $5,000.00 to take the engine apart to fix the leak. They also indicated the previous owner had to have known about the leak because it leaks onto the exhaust which causes white smoke in stop and go traffic (Which I usually do not have to sit in so I didn't notice the smoke). Within 4 months the rear suspension started showing signs of an issue. And eventually the self-leveling suspension became inactive. Add a couple more thousand to the bill. And finally, the anti-freeze is leaking everywhere now. Although this is a potential normal issue for an "older" car, it is one more thing that has gone wrong with this car in barely a year. To be fair, maybe this place did not see the oil leak. Maybe this place did not check the rear suspension. Maybe this place did not inspect the brakes. But....they should have. So I am stuck with a car payment and a car that needs about $7,000.00 in work. Like I said, THEY got the deal. One last thing. The finance manager swore to me, in 6 months I could refinance with Capital One auto. After 7 months I called them, and they informed me they do not refinance their own loans. When I told the finance manager this, he told me I was wrong. Completely wrong and he had been doing that "forever". Needless to say, he did not believe me, and offered to have me come in so HE could try to refinance it. Cha-Ching. And just for kicks...I had a non-family witness to all of this. I would never recommend this place anyone. I did not list everything that has gone wrong with the car because lets face it, it is a used car. But some of the items were never even looked at. read more

UNETHICAL. My wife and I purchased a used vehicle from Frank "Sinatra" at a Sale Price + Dealer Prep Fee. Frank presented us with a hand written Bill of Sale that separated the Sale price and Dealer Prep Fee. When we received the final Bill of Sale from the title clerk, the vehicle Sale price included the Dealer Prep. They refused to rewrite/reissue the Bill of Sale. Though my state does not require that taxes be paid on the Dealer Prep Fee, I was forced to pay taxes on the Dealer Prep because they refused to break out the Sale Price as presented on the initial Bill of Sale. I've purchased a lot of vehicles over the years, never from a dealership and person who deliberately deceives it's customer. read more

This is for the Cadillac Service. When I called, the woman couldn't hear me at first, said hello in a very frustrated tone twice and hung up. Finally got her and due to work my mom had to bring my car in at the appointed time for an oil change. 1.5 hours later she was finally done! Worst part, they did NOT wash my car or clean the inside. A quick vacuum and wipe down inside takes 10 minutes or less and makes the brand that much stronger, let alone your specific service site. Two stars for taking the car on time, and because I wasn't physically there. The other star is for getting a free oil change but if you want to compete with BMW on free service then do it right. read more

This is my first time dealing with this dealership , last week looked a 2014 XTS and I was very short on time and told the salesmen Frank (who by the way is a very professional salesmen) that I will come back on Thursday to possibly purchase the car. On Sat. I received a call from the internet sales manager Mike at that time he want to verify that I was still coming to view the car on Thursday. Unknown to me they sold the last of their stock on XTS cars on Friday the day before. Today I received another call from Mike to confirm my appointment at which time I told him why would you call me to come out when you had NO cars available for me, in which he replied OH I'm sure we will get some trades on Sat. I purchased a used car as well as had it serviced at Steve Foley Cadillac in the same week. The buying experience went smoothly as I did my research on the vehicle beforehand as well as see/feel what I could through a visual inspection and test drive. I was provided with as much information I needed from the salesperson. If there was a question that he could not answer, he did his best to find the answer. I felt very comfortable with the purchase and will keep this review updated if anything should go wrong with the vehicle that is out of the ordinary. I feel that most vehicles at a dealership such as this one, whether new or used, will not be for sale unless it is of good/reliable quality. The service I had done on my vehicle was very upfront and clear. No work was authorized without my permission. In addition to the initial service I scheduled, I was kept updated on all services that were recommended because I requested a general inspection to be done. This, of course, added time to my wait, but I had no issues waiting because they have a very nice and comfortable waiting room. It is stocked with snacks as well as hot and cold beverages (sodas, water, and coffee/hot chocolate). The room is also stocked with a plethora of magazines and newspapers for the readers, and there is a television with the remote available to change the channel for those that like to watch TV. The area surrounding the dealership has a shopping center, so I walked around to get exercise and check out the different stores. All in all, purchasing a vehicle and getting it serviced at this dealership has been a fine experience. Mike K. in service was very thorough in keeping me updated with my vehicle's progress. I would never spend a dollar at this dealership! The worst customer service I have ever experienced There was no salesmanship. I had pre financing . I knew the car I wanted and they were concerned how I was going to pay for it even though I already told them Usually when you are looking at a car, the salesman is suppose to tell you about the features of the car and the gas mileage etc. The salesman was worried about if I was going to buy or not. He would say little smart arrogant remarks pertaining to me buying the car. In addition, any salesman should know to make the customer feel comfortable, by offering coffee, water, or asking how their day is going etc? I received none of that. And once we got into the office they added an extra $1000 than listed sale price with no real explanation and that was before taxes etc. The salesman said "we added new brakes so we have to charge you more". First off you shouldn't sell somebody a car with bad brakes so I am not responsible for that and then why wait until we are in the office to say this? That information should have been told while I was looking at the car before head. There was no negotiation or bargaining. And what could have been a smooth transaction they allowed a customer to walk out with no purchase. I had the money and financing already to go. They were upset because being a business man myself I know how everything goes. I was an educated consumer and when I didn't fall for their tricks they were upset l will never shop here or refer any of my network or business clients here. read more

After much research into the car we wanted, we were ready to buy that day. We were assigned to "Les" as our salesperson. The trade offer for our old car was insulting and he was less than thrilled to honor our TruCar coupon. After an hour of discussion (we were not even offered a cup of coffee or water during this time) we walked out. Service Dept. is an overpriced ripoff. Separate from the fact that they always try to upsell you unnecessary service like many dealerships, I recently and begrudgingly brought my 2011 GMC Yukon there for an oil change and tire rotation after finding out the dealership I used to use had closed. Upon picking up my car, I found that Marcel, the service manager, had also replaced my wiper blades even though he never asked my permission and the blades were working fine. The cost of an oil change, tire rotation and wiper blades came to $177! I confronted Marcel who tried to mumble an explanation but I wouldn't let him. I consider it a lesson learned but felt I needed to try and warn others. read more

We came to an agreement on price, and I was to receive the sales papers today to consummate the transaction. Since I am from out of state, I felt it was important to confirm with him last night that "a deal is a deal"--and that was confirmed, along with a date and place to meet him and exchange my trade-in for their car. Well, today I received a text from him that "the car was no longer for sale," but that he would ping me if something else came along. Hmm. That sounds enticing. Terrible experience, drove 45 minutes to dealership after speaking with salesperson about 2010 Land Rover. Upon arriving I found that the Internet price is not the actual price for vehicle, there is an additional $985 that can not be waived for vehicle prep and an additional $985 for a paint protector already added to the car whether you want it or not. Stayed at the dealership to past 9:30 pm. Worked out the deal and was told not to leave a deposit and to fax additional info need in the morning for financing which I did. Spoke to the finance manager 3 times and the sales person 4 times the next day and finalized the deal with the finance rates and everything, agreed I would come directly after work with certified funds to complete purchase. Sales person told me he was having the car prepped for delivery and removing from inventory as sold. Received a call while in route to the dealership that the car had been sold and was simply told (FIRST COME FIRST SERVE). I think this is a horrible business practice for what should be a customer service oriented business. The strongest proponent for any business is word of mouth recommendation based on that customers experience. I would not in good conscious recommend this dealership to anyone I know. This is the first review I have ever written in my life. I have never purchased a car from a dealer because I always feel as if they are trying to take advantage of you. But in an effort to build better credit I thought I would go ahead and do it. So for my first time purchasing a car from a dealer this was my experience. Tried to negotiate a deal on a used car. Not only did they refuse to negotiate, but refused to sell me the car without their $1k Xzilon treatment and $1k dealer prep. I've bought many cars over my life but never has a car dealer refused to sell a car unless I paid for their "extras". And since they somehow stay in business, it must be true that a sucker is born every minute. Anytime you see a price in their ad, one must probably add another $2k to the price. read more

My 2 yr old SRX had the check engine light come on and I was told that the Timing needed repair. It was supposed to be in the shop for additional 4 days due to type of repair and testing required, but amazing it was ready next day early afternoon. Had issues with the return of the loaner car after they refused to fill my tank after I filled the loaner car after being told I'd have it for 4 more days. Now, after getting my car back and only driving it a couple times since, my check engine light is back on and now flashing. Tow truck coming in morning, but tried to call dealer service tonight, but they were closed and receptionist refused to take message (svc reps voice mail kept cutting off). Am deciding to start my search for a new vehicle from someone other than Steve Foley. read more

Do NOT go here for SERVICE WORK!!! They will overcharge you by a lot on both parts and labor! They will perform work that you DO NOT need! And the service itself will be subpar. I have been here four times in the past 6 weeks and each time they found something else wrong and something else to charge me enourmous amounts of money for. My 2014 Escalade was coming due for its final warranty service at around 48,000 miles. When I called to make an appointment, I learned that the mechanics had just one out on their soon-to-be long strike. Marcel B. placed me on a list of owners to be contacted immediately, as it seemed like one of the front magnetorheological shocks wasn't working, as the ride had become very stiff. I did receive a phone call from Marcel while the strike was still going on and he advised me to bring the truck in for its oil change and that they would check which shock was bad, so they could order it prior to the end of the strike, so the truck could be serviced quickly. The mechanics came off their strike and an appointment was quickly made. Besides the shock, there were a couple of other minor issues that needed to be addressed. I had the truck back the next day. My only complaint is that when they were nice enough to provide me a loaner, they didn't provide me with a Bentley convertible! Now that would make the service experience AWESOME! read more

My review is related to their pre-owned sales department because that is as far as I have made it before this poor lasting impression was made on me. My fiancee reached out to the dealership regarding a pre-owned car. They contacted us immediately and we arranged for a test drive. I liked the car, but was not excited about the warranty and the fact that you had to pay to get the car certified to extend the warranty 1 year. I shared this with the saleman and told him that I am looking at other brands with better deals. He has been persistent to the point of being annoying with his sales pitch ever since. Each time he repsonds to me that Cadillac is better, he neglects to include the charge to improve the warranty when he does a comparision. (I am not stupid). My next issue is what really has soured me on this place. After I had told the salesman that I was no longer interested via e-mail, he proceeds to e-mail my fiancee without telling me to try to get her to buy the car. Did he actually think that she would not share this with me? I felt like he was a little kid trying to get separate answers out of his parents. This action showed poor judgement and poor class on the salesman's part. I am still irritated enough with these tactics that he pretty much removed Cadillac from consideration from my new car. Very interested in purchasing a Cadillac here but my "bait and switch" experience disappointed me. They advertised two similar cars I was interested in - got there and the car I was told was on the floor was priced $1000 more than I saw on the internet (which was already higher than I knew others were selling the car for.) When I asked to see the other of the two cars I was told by the salesperson "They are exactly the same." Well, the internet listing states one has a panoramic sunroof and one does not. I was interested in the sunroof but was shown the other with "upscale" wheels which I was not interested in. When I asked to take a test drive in one of the two I was considering, the salesperson instead drove up with his personal car for us to test drive. When we returned to the office the salesperson asked what it would take to get me in the car. I told him my price and my trade expectation, he came back with a lowball offer on our trade ($2000 less than CarMax had offered me the week before) and would not budge on the new car price. We decided to walk out - after about 30 seconds he came running back to us with an immediate offer to match the CarMax price. So, you can come up with $2000 more at the drop of a hat after telling me it was your best offer? Yes, I'm a bargain shopper and I'm shopping last year's new models and yes, I expect a bargain. I expect that they are in business and are entitled to a profit, but I also expect someone to respect my intelligence and deal with me in a straightforward manner. While it is a very prestigious dealership that has been in the community for 30yrs, the last thing they care about is you, the consumer. Perhaps if you were there to purchase a brand new Bentley or Rolls Royce, things might be different. I worked with a salesman, Frank, who was great (the silver lining in this whole debacle)!!! It's a shame the same cannot be said about the management team that was supposed to support him. I have never experienced upper management with an arrogance that suggested they didn't need/want my business. In fact, their remedy to our conflict was that I sell my car to Carmax and return to buy their car!!! Sure, let me just give you the business when you've done nothing but stick it to me every step of the way. You may now chalk this up as your fourth lost sale in the last month, because you refuse to match or, at the bare minimum, stay competitive with a Carmax quote. It is sad that one of the sales lost was YOUR OWN EMPLOYEE (confirmed by Steve Foley staff)!!! You can't even price match a car for your own employee?!?!?! Shame on you!!! read more
