There's just simply not another doctor like him. He went to my mom's funeral who was also a long time patient - I'm guessing this isn't something he does often, but his schedule allowed it this time, and he made it happen. My dad and I were truly touched. His office staff is also outstanding. Dr. C. is funny, knowledgable, and goes out of his way. I will be super bummed, to say the least, when he retires. Thanks, Dr. C.!

When he…read morewas 3.5 I had to take him to the doctor and they had to put drops in his eyes and do a bunch of tests and it was a traumatic thing for him. Fast forward to now, he needed a kindergarten eye exam. On top of his issues, I also have extreme fear of germs and going into public spaces right now is a big thing for me. I panicked for a week, calling different places, but I heard great things about this place so I chose to come here. BEST. DECISION. EVER. The staff was SO NICE as soon as we walked through the door. They immediately put me and my son at ease. It was ridiculously clean, I saw employees using hand sanitizer multiple times. Everything was covered in plastic. The doctor was AMAZING with my son. She explained everything, kept him talking so he wasn't focused too much on what was being done. It was quick and there were no tears. She explained everything to me and him afterwards. What I thought was going to be a horrible experience turned out to be a very positive one. If you're looking for kind and patient people, this is the place for you!

I still have those emails. They are professional and positive--with the exception of the last email I sent where I expressed displeasure of the way I was treated. Gaslighting isn't a good look. Your attempt to discredit me speaks volumes. As does the overly long explanation. Methinks the good doc doth protest too much.

This place has my highest recommendation when it comes to optometry and eye care. Most importantly, Dr. Azarro always have the most latest technology and exams for your eye health to detect cataract, glaucoma and such. I don't want to spare none when it comes to we health and especially for my family, so I trust this place enough to them here for their eye exams. Besides that the staff, including Vito who always welcomes us and make us feel like family when we visit, they also have a GREAT selection of modern and highly aesthetic pleasing frames. My favorite is the Lindberg frames, which was an investment but have lasted me through since 2009! Only a few limited selected retailers have them and this office carries them. Awesome eye doctors - Dr. Robert and Dr. Bauer are fantastic. Great, empathetic, and personalized…read morecare from them every single visit. My family of 4 followed Dr. Robert here when he started his practice about 12 years ago and we love the eye doctors at Midwest eye. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the Optical Department. Very disappointing. I happened to be in the area and arrived right after they opened one morning, not one customer in Optical or in the waiting area. Asked for a 2-3 minute adjustment to my frames that had been purchased there. Overheard front desk asking Lisa in Optical and she said no, I'm busy, she needs to make an appointment. She didn't walk 15 feet to come over to see what I needed or speak to me herself. I had even said I had no problem waiting if she was busy. They just told me to make an appointment and come back another day. No thanks. I'm not going to take time out of my workday and drive 20 minutes each way to come back for something that should take 2 to 3 minutes. This massive lack of customer service is not on brand for the treatment that we receive from Dr. Robert or Bauer and was highly disappointing. Midwest Eye Optical will not be seeing another dime of my hard-earned money. If we didn't love the eye doctors so much I'd be finding a new one for all 4 of my family members. Loyalty & respect go both ways. It's not hard to treat people well. This interaction was not it.
