I can't say enough good things about our experience at Europro. I live full time in a 1988 VW…read moreVanagon, and it can be incredibly hard to find a good mechanic for these fickle vehicles. This is potentially the best shop I've been to in the entire country. We were gearing up for a trip to Alaska when our transmission started making some concerning noise in Montana. After a shop in Missoula was unable to diagnose the problem, we limped our way to Spokane. Sven and the team were able to quickly find the issue and give us the bad news we'd been expecting (the transaxle needed replacing). They worked with our travel sponsors to get the part shipped as quickly as possible and made time in their incredibly busy schedule to replace the entire transaxle within a week. While we were waiting for the part to ship, we began having other problems and again Sven was fast with noticing problems the previous mechanic had missed: worn out spark plugs/caps/rotors, and a failing fuel temp sensor. We spent 10 days total at the shop and the entire team was incredibly friendly. They let us work from the shop on our laptops, allowed us to sleep in the van on site when we needed to, offered to borrow us a couple bicycles so we could run around town, and even bought us lunch one afternoon. Sven is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to our specific van. The shop worked quickly, and charged us more than fairly for the work. We left feeling confident in the job they'd done and drove to Alaska and back to the west coast (nearly 6,000 miles) without any issues. I cannot recommend this place enough!

If I could give zero stars I would. First off I'm from out of town and my van ran into some issues…read moreabout a month ago while I was visiting family in Spokane. Now, to be fair I brought my 84 Volkswagen Westfalia in about a year prior for some CV joint work. While I felt that they were overpriced I was satisfied with the job done-and I really had no choice because I needed to get my van back to Portland, OR. I decided to bring my van back to EuroPro when another issue arose unfortunately while visiting family in town again. Turned out to be my thermostat was leaking and so they agreed to fix it for around $950 part and labor. They have the van for around 3 days, call me around 2 hours before closing and tell me that they are finishing up and to come down to settle up. As I'm waiting for them to bring me the van the owner comes out and tells me "Bad news.., your water pump just blew and now your timing belt is done as well." I'm like, "What happened to it being ready to go? All done, etc.?" Really shady and as I'm waiting for them to come up with a new quote I'm just astonished at the lack of accountability. Like I'm just supposed to accept that this just happened?? I mean there was nothing wrong with either the water pump or the timing belt in their quote before. Just the thermostat. They told me they blew the water pump when they were running pressure tests. Once that happens the timing belt has to be replaced as well. What a joke. New quote is close to triple the amount and now I'll have to pay up to $2,700. Very unprofessional, super shady and super overpriced. My shop in Portland would have done the same amount of work for around $1,800. While also not telling me to come down and pick up my van and then surprising me with an extra problem that cost nearly an extra 2 grand. DONT GO TO THESE GUYS. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF ANY CHANCE THEY GET.
