A nice local guy gave us a jump and diagnosed it as a battery problem. Them Interstates don't last the 72 months like they used to... Anyway, he told us to go to Advance even though NAPA was closer. We went to NAPA contrary to his advice and the battery test failed but guess what... they can't replace it for you. It's a Sunday afternoon so you can't just go anywhere. And this uis the UP, so in a few hours from now everything will be closed. We went to Advance and sure enough, they can do it. They even have a cart packed with all the tools needed for the job. Our guy Steve took out the cart to the parking lot once we picked out the battery and got right to work. In less than 15 minutes we were back on the road with a brand new battery. They even gave us a rebate for returning the old one to recycle the core. So if you need a battery, come to Advance for good service and a on a new battery.

But we kinda know it happened today or last time I was there, but they did offer to buy a new stud and I bought a hard to find stud cap so got the new parts! They are not certified to do the repairs so I will have to take to Toyota or do it myself and repair it but if Toyota does it it will be just under $100 for the labor! It was expected at some point as it's common so I didn't push for more maybe I should have but whatever!

They said it was fully inspected before we took it, but that clearly is not true with these issues present. They said Bring it up there to get checked and they wouldn't cover the cost at all. As well, when we got it, it didn't have the air filter cover. The stabilizer link also broke a week in as well. If you ever decide to buy from this dealership, have another mechanic look it over first, because this shouldn't happen. We shouldn't have to get serious work done right away like this. Especially when we got the car this August 2021. And like I said, it clearly wasn't fully inspected if the gas issue was there to begin with. They never told us this before they sold the car. I think something like this should be addressed and fixed before sale on their dime. Never buying from this dealership again.

The intake manifold on my car failed 2 times (technically 3 but when my car hit 98000 miles Thorobred Chevrolet in AZ stopped returning my calls, and when I would show up since my calls weren't being returned I would see my two assigned "service" providers yell out to them but yet 4 hours later each time no one showed...until I called and said my mileage was over 100k...got called back right away). Fast forward to present day. The same exact same thing is happening to my sister's car (2014 cruze). They replaced the intake manifold last week and her car kept overheating (she has pictures). She has it towed back there the day she gets it back and they say literally word for word what thorbred told me out here. Summed up: intake manifolds that fail cannot cause an engine to overheat...which is really odd because real mechanics will flat out tell that yes, they definitely can do. Sparing the actual proof for a rating review, when a car is under warranty, GM should stop trying to pass the problem back...especially when the car has less than 50k miles on it. They 100k more to go on their warranty (which is a total joke).

I have had no more misfires and have been driving it for 1 year since Fox tried to charge me for a used engine to "fix" the issue. They also asked me to leave for politely questioning their policies and suggesting they open their lines of communication with the wrecking company. I don't understand why I would be kicked outside to wait for attempting to ask legit questions. After that, they purposely made us wait 15 minutes to drive the car outside of the lot to give to us. Any question we wanted to ask they shut down. They also came out and stood by me without a mask, within 6 feet.
