Horrible experience, this place was recommended by one of the people working the train, his name was Johnny Arizona. We thought that the food would be incredible because Johnny gave us all a 10 minute ramble session on how it's the best in town. The food took forever to be served to us - 45 minutes, and when we got our food it tasted like it was pre heated. After about 30 minutes of waiting and still no food the only server that was half nice came up to us and told us that they were out of carne asada, I've never been to a place that told me that they were out of something 30 minutes later, they usually tell you when the server is taking your order that there out of whatever there out of. All the servers didn't look like they wanted to be there also, by mean mugging almost all the customers there. It was all just a bunch of young adults running around with their heads chopped off. And how the places looks is no better, it looks like an old run down rust bucket that used to be a small warehouse 30 year's ago. They were playing music out of a small tv in the back top corner of the restaurant that you could barely even hear. Overall this place is a hunk of junk with nothing good to say about it. read more

Disappointed by the Service and Kitchen Mismanagement We were excited to try Nanny's in Williams, AZ, after we had a wonderful experience on the train ride and seeing the Grand Canyon, we were soaring high from our wonderful day, and this spot came highly recommended to try it out; but unfortunately, our experience left us very disappointed. The biggest issue was the complete lack of management in the kitchen. We, along with several other guests, waited over 45 minutes before receiving our food. It was frustrating to see an entire couple get up and leave due to the long delay--and honestly, I don't blame them. What made the wait worse was the lack of customer care during that time. No one came around to offer refills on drinks or chips and salsa while we waited. Not a single check-in from staff to acknowledge the delay or offer a simple courtesy. We had to ask for refills! We were starving and thirsty from our day. Another concern was the lack of labeling on their sauces. There were three different salsas, but none were marked mild, medium, or hot. I grabbed the yellow one, thinking it might be mild--and my mouth was on fire for 10 minutes. That could have been dangerous if my child had tried it. That's a serious oversight and a poor judgment call on their part. As for the staff, they weren't particularly friendly or attentive. I understand they were short-staffed and missing a cook that day--but that's something you communicate to your patrons. And if you're down a person in the kitchen, maybe don't have two waitstaff standing around chatting with the cook. One could be helping in the back, while the other circulates to check on tables, refill drinks, and offer chips to hold people over. When we finally received our food, we didn't have small plates to place our chips and salsa or able to share food with my family, so we used napkins, as a makeshift plate, which we had to also ask for more napkins. After, waiting for 45 mins plus, we hoped the food would make up for the long wait, NOPE! We have had better food from a taco truck, and have waited less than this place. All in all, I expected better--especially in a town that thrives on tourism and hospitality. I hope management takes these issues seriously and makes changes, because right now, Nanny's is not a place I'd recommend. read more

Wanted to try this place based on reviews and it wasn't good at all. I ordered a burrito and the tortilla was so dry it broke into pieces. No fountain soda, only canned soda. Always looking for good authentic Mexican food and Nanys does not disappoint. This was a cozy little place in Williams right off of the railroad. We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated . Server brought our waters back quick and gave us a minute to look over the menu. Husband went with a carne asada burrito and I went with bean and cheese with rice. We also ordered chips and salsa. The salsa consistency was a little thicker but it was sooo good. Not too hot, tons of flavor. Prices were really reasonable with the carne asada burrito costing 10 dollars, which, compared to most places is a steal. Bean and cheese burrito was 7 dollars and a steal as well. Both were piping hot and so good. Tortillas were good, super fresh , which is key to a yummy burrito! I had to take half home they were so big. You need to come here ASAP! Stopped over this little hole in the wall taco shop in Arizona during our Grand Canyon visit. The restaurant is small and Mexican themed. The workers were friendly and allowed us to bring in our dogs! Very friendly and accommodating. The food was reasonable. We ordered a lot of carne asada tacos with some shrimp tacos as well. The garnish and seasoning was fairly equal. The sauces were good. It ranged from mild to hot. And to top off with Mexican coke to cleanse the palate. Definitely a must try in Arizona. read more

And the sauces and the dipping au jus! The 3 salsas are Green, Red, and Habanero. My favorites are the green and habanero. The green mild but full of flavor. The habanero is hot but not head-melting. Again, lots of flavor. You will need to put the address in your GPS. It's on a side street and Williams can be very busy with cars and pedestrians. Very friendly and helpful waitresses. Such a good find in Williams AZ. It's a great Chihuahua Mexican restaurant tucked about half a block off the main street in Williams. Not that big inside with probably 10 tables that turned over quickly. The menu is outstanding with a couple of specials and a good selection of quesadillas (can recommend the Cali), burritos and tacos. The pozole special was excellent. This was the servers 2nd day of work and she was very friendly but not sure if she knew much about the food. I ordered chicken tacos not much flavor and my husband ordered some burrito that was very spicy and over stuffed. He said it was the worst burrito. There are also 3 hot sauces they bring to your table but they are not labeled for hot, medium, mild. The owner was there and she said all of them are not that hot.
