The waitstaff were quite accommodating and seated us at the only table that had an outlet for charging, per my request. It's one of those fancy open style kitchen places where you can see the chefs shouting at each other and dinging the little bell for service. My raspberry tonic mocktail was quite good, but the zest mocktail was much more refreshing. The Malabar fish curry was pretty good, a Thai red curry style of sauce with a cod piece in it. It tasted fresh, so so far I was happy. But the menu says prawns as well, as in plural, more than one. But there was only one prawn in my bowl. Should I have made a complaint about the semantic scam? Maybe, but they always make it seem like you're the idiot, is my experience. I liked their take on a fish curry, it comes with white rice and shaved crunchy coconut flakes. The dessert menu had nuts in every single dessert, which is not good if you rely on an epi-pen for such ingredients. I was offered the pleasure to have the cheese platter for the cost of a weekly grocery bill - Eeh, no thanks. The waitress agreed the dessert menu is crap and kindly offered a complimentary scoop of ice cream.

Mainly seafood items and very hearty portions. We had a great server who was very attentive and made sure that we were taken care of. I had the shrimp appetizer with a side salad. Nice place and probably even nicer in daylight when you can see the surroundings. The meal for 4 people 9with 2 bottles of wine) was about 150UKL which was pretty good for what we ordered. Would definately return if we are back in the Portsmouth area.

Once we started eating our food, it quickly became apparent that we were eating something that strongly resembled meat. We rang the restaurant the first time and we were told by the chef that as she is in the kitchen when the food is made, it was definitely chicken. We then received some cock and bull story about how black bean changes the consistency of chicken. I had a look further and - decided it was most definitely not chicken. I think they honestly take us for fools because they were not keen to send us out the order we had actually placed. We rang back a second time - the gentleman on the phone insisted that it was chicken. Rude and condescending are an understatement when it came to his customer service skills. He then changed his tune quickly and reported that we had infact ordered the beef in the first place. They couldn't send us our proper order and they had no drivers to deliver our food. Now, we aren't idiots. And this 'manager' clearly thought we were. Thereafter he became aggressive and rude and started speaking to us like we were uneducated cretin. He absolutely refused to give his name and started shouting down the phone culminating in an eventual slamming down of the phone down. Now I'm no expert, but I think if you pay for food, you should get what you pay for. And if a restaurant cocks up, the least they can do is send you the correct order with an apology and some humility. These guys are a joke.
