Keep an eye out for special offers as they have a hotel here to and often offer some great deals on food and a bed for the night.

For a hot and sour soup I paid £2.80 and for the fortune rice special £6. There was only one person and she was part of the staff. Seemed a pretty empty place. But having said this, we went there at 16.00 what can be considered too early for dinner. We waited for some time for our order and I asked for a glass of water. I would have throught that this is offered straight away plus maybe some prawn crackers as we might have looked hungry :-). Overall the food was ok. I was struggling with the soup a bit when my toung started burning. Very spicy indeed and recommendable for the ones that love spicy. Would I eat it again? I guess so. Yes. The rice was tasty too, served with a lots of vegetables. I also asked for some soya sauce and got a wee cup. That was nice. I was not so convinced with the spare ribs. Bit too chewy for my taste. The Chinese chicken wings were soft enough, however the chicken bones were quite bridle and broke in half easily. Not sure this is a good thing. Anyway, overall, it seems a pretty ok place where you can enjoy a nice tasty Chinese menu for a lunch price of £6.95. The interior looks very cozy and the prices acceptable. Would I get another Chinese takeaway from there? Yes, maybe.

The entrance looks more like an old-fashioned English pub, with its half-timbered façade and bar area; it could easily be mistaken for a Wetherspoons or something. Just around the corner is the fish counter, all tiles and ice, where you can pick your poisson of choice and even buy some to take home with you. The meal quality was exceptional, as was the service from the friendly and courteous staff. I had crabcakes to start, which were not terribly large but were very tasty; and followed that up with an artichoke and mushroom risotto - for once, I decided not to go with the fish! I adore artichoke and it seemed too good an opportunity to pass up. My question about dairy content was quickly answered after the waitress went to check with the chef, and it was served without the usual parmesan slices topping. Having just returned from a visit to family in the States, the Coronavirus lockdown had just begun as we moved down to Chichester for several months to look after my ailing father-in-law. One of the highlights during his closing months was a trip out to what he deemed as "one of the finest & chip shops he'd ever seen in years." I'm happy to say he was right. Moby's was open both before and just after the height of lockdown, maintaining the same high standards with their food and hygiene as ever. Their portions are generous and the fish is lovely. We made a few visits there as my partner's father enjoyed the outing and the staff were an absolute dream. I expressed my appreciation to them after he left us and we've made a number of visits back since. Many thanks to Moby's and the team there, who come with our hearty recommendation!
