Small whole belly fried clams
Steve H.

Was on Martha's Vineyard and decided to try Nancy's. I ordered the small whole belly clams and I must tell you they were among the best I've ever had. They were huge and flavorful will large bellies.

Dinner this evening, but nothing short and amazing walking on a Sunday night we seated immediately in a table with stunning views of the ocean is like the cherry on top of a ice cream sundae.. we enjoyed the first course of chicken wings, which were fried just rice not too hard not too soft and a housemaid blue cheese that was out of this world. Our dinner was followed up with 1.5 pound lobster yes, the whole dang thing it was succulent and flavorful and fresh. I saw there was ocean water still pouring out of the shell! ! Nancy never disappoints whether it's the pick up on the go downstairs or the dining upstairs. It's terrific all around. Unfortunately, they don't take reservations but again on a Sunday night, we walked right in and seated immediately. What a delightful end to our vacation

It's actually a 4, but I'm doing 5 to offset all the haters. I've been coming to OB for 50 years and never knew until today it had a restaurant upstairs. It's very crowded (a good sign), but we snagged four stools at the bar (JAWS 50th street fair day). The food was good and despite being slammed, the staff pulled through!

Grabbed a couple of drinks here recently. Got the famous dirty banana drink and a mudslide. Wasn't impressed with either. Both were overpriced. Bartenders were cool. Probably wouldn't return.

Upstairs, downstairs, and takeout at Nancy's hit the spot every time. Depending on what kind of vibe you want (more relaxed sit down, picnic takeout, or relaxed vibes downstairs) they have it! All the food I've tried is great and the cocktails are fantastic too! Make sure to grab a dirty banana if you are looking for something sweet.

Lobster roll was amazing perfect buttered bread to lobster ratio. I also enjoyed the salad and cocktail. Staff was attentive and the views are outstanding. We had a large party but we were seated quickly. Get there early as they do fill up fast!!

Show me your spritz

Stopped here for lunch while it was raining. Sat upstairs and enjoyed the rainy views with some drinks and food. I tried the pink panther and show me your spritz cocktails. They were pretty good. The salmon BLT also hit the spot. It was a busy Sunday for lunch despite the rainy weather. A nice spot overall to grab lunch or just drinks. The waiter was attentive enough.

Went back to Nancy's and got the lobster roll and clam chowder (loved that chowder)! Had to get another Dirty Banana from my boy Donovan.

I ordered from the takeout counter outside. $16 for an amazing gryo. They use high quality ingredients. There are picnic benches to sit on and eat with a view of the harbor.

Food is amazing and the view. Very friendly staff, especially Chris our server. I normally don't order appetizers or a dessert , but Chris had me ordering delicious food with his suggestions. I even got a complimentary order of fries. The restaurant is very clean. I highly recommend Nancy's restaurant to anyone visiting Oak Bluffs. I am a picky eater and the food at this restaurant was perfect.

What a cool spot so close to the ferry! I came here with a group of 8 for lunch on a Friday. We came at the right time because there was plenty of seating for us in the picnic table section, but it was packed by the time we left. The food came out very quickly and the bartender was very friendly. Can't come here and not get a mudslide or dirty banana! The only reason that I am giving Nancy's 4 stars is because the food was mediocre. I ordered a chicken gyro and the pita bread was falling apart. The taste was just okay. However, I appreciated the large portions! I'd absolutely come back here on my next trip to MV.

When I went around 7pm, I hit the end of happy hour so the ambiance was a loud and hectic, however at around 7:30/8 it was less crowded and calmed down. We were able to have an amazing view of the sunset over the water which became one of the highlights of my trip to Martha's Vineyard. The food was fantastic. The lobster meat was packed with flavor and tasted fresh. The only two complaints we had was, we were hoping for more lobster meat for the entrees and the lobster roll was very buttery. We also tried their banana mud slide that they are known for, 10/10 recommend. The service was good for how packed the restaurant was , no complaints. Food came out quickly and the server was very nice. I would definitely commend going to Nancy's if you're taking a trip to Martha's Vineyard, great place to get a drink, food, and watch the sunset.

This is a carry-out only restaurant, and they allow you to place orders ahead for pickup. My friend and I walked in and both ordered the oxtail dinner, and I also ordered a side of plantains. The oxtail came with a healthy side of cabbage and rice and peas. The flavor on the oxtail was very bland, and the meat itself was somehow both fatty and tough. The rice and peas, cabbage, and plantain were both okay. I don't see myself coming back again, but if I did, I would stick to the fried chicken, as that seems to be a popular item.

Lol But I went with it. We called the order in while we were lounging on the beach for pick up. This is a pick-up only spot as I didn't see anywhere to sit and eat. Items ordered were the Oxtails, Thai Salmon, Blackened Shrimp. My friend that ordered the blackened shrimp was the only one disappointed. The oxtails were amazing and tender. I paid .75 for a side of Jerk sauce. The peas/rice were a bit dry; but the jerk sauce helped. I even had leftovers for the next day. I also got the coffee drink with Vanilla & Bailey's, I think it was called "Jamaican me Crazy" That was a bit disappointing because they just handed us a cup with ice for us to pour ourselves. I was hoping for freshly brewed.

My friend and I were dead-set on eating a lobster roll, and thankfully, they had a lobster roll on their menu. We each ordered one, and had chicken fingers as an appetizer. The tenders were the perfect size, and cooked well. The lobster roll were also pretty good in my book. There were huge cuts of lobster meat in the roll, and I ordered mine toasted with butter. I've had tastier lobster roll before, and I think it might be because I've ordered it cold before with mayo and I didn't like it as much toasted. I did like that the roll also came with a side of fries and coleslaw, and the price point for all that food was pretty reasonable as lobster rolls can get pretty pricey. They also have a bottomless drink menu for $3 to get an assortment of beverages which I thought was pretty sweet. I would definitely continue to eat here next time when I come back to MV!

This time we went with friends, which meant I got to sample a little bit of everything -- the short ribs, wok-fried lobster, and a massive slice of carrot cake that took me two days to finish at home. We also enjoy getting dressed up to come here since they've got the white tablecloths my wife looks for when she's sipping her drink -- so don't show up straight from the beach in flip-flops and a tee. The vibe is always relaxed but elevated, the food and drinks are on point, and the service never misses. That's why we keep coming back.
