It tasted more like 80% lean ground beef from Walmart which would have been an improvement. The rice was not aromatic at all. Lacked basic spices. Falafel dry and tasteless. Baba Ghanoush tasted like a store bought version from your local grocery store. The Tahini sauce side. The tahini was a mixture of Tahini paste, yogurt, hummus, garlic, salt, very little lemon juice which made for an unpleasant and unusual after taste which we threw in the trash. There's really nothing to complain about! Tasty, fresh, generous portions, great price point. We ordered delivery and it came fast. The babaganoush was delicious, the steak kababs were good quality meat, well seasoned and well cooked, the chicken was moist, and the kafta was well seasoned and not too dry. All the kababs are cooked on an open flame and made to order. The garlic paste was really nice, not over powering at all. I would order again no question! I do agree with others that it is overpriced but I moved here from a big city so I can't fault them by that. I think everything on the Cape is overpriced for no reason. Their portions, however, are a lot more than one would expect so it balances a bit. How I found it: At another United Gas station, believe it or not. I was getting a car inspection and saw a menu at the cashiers desk. Was reading it while I waited for my car. Must be same owners. Decided to finally come months later. Food: I thought it was good. I wouldn't know if it was authentic or not. It was 100 percent freshly grilled, which I was not expecting but I did appreciate it. I didn't mind the wait for that. I looked on the Yelp photos a bit and chose wisely my selection. Staff: The gal there, I cannot tell if she's great at upcharging or she's implying I am not getting enough food... didn't care but when the food came up, it was a lot. At least for me. I ended up sharing it. The guy that handed me the food, super nice. Came out from the back and handed it then thanked me. Atmosphere: It is odd that the place is attached to a gas station but again, didn't care. One buys DD, BK, and McDonald's at a gas station so why would this matter? And this is nothing like fast greasy food. If you make good food, you can put your business anywhere and they will come. I was going to stay and eat since they had tables inside but I ended up taking it home. All and all, I would go back. I feel appreciated which is hard when you are attached to a gas station. I'm really surprised this place is rated as highly as it is. Needless to say, I did not have the best experience. Being completely transparent, as my therapist says, GF thought "it was good" and would rate it 4/5. We were ordering for dinner and also for lunch for the following day. I ordered a greek salad, falafel wrap, tzatziki, and extra pita bread. GF ordered a hummus wrap, falafel wrap, grape leaves, and feta fries. I will admit that the pita is one of the largest pitas I have ever seen in my life. The wraps are maybe a touch more expensive than I would expect for a "sandwich" but they are gigantic. You could smuggle shit over state lines in one of those things. The salad, on the other hand, was smaller than what I was expecting for $11. It was a bunch of iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes, olives, feta cheese, and one pepperoncini. The most important thing is that they DIDN'T INCLUDE ANY DRESSING. They asked me what dressing I wanted but sent me just a bunch of dry veggies. I literally had to eat dry lettuce leaves and the rest of above ingredients for dinner. What a fucking bummer. The falafel wrap was just ok. I will say that the ingredients seemed to be very fresh. Regarding GF's wraps she thought "they were satisfactory, nothing amazing". She enjoyed the grape leaves. The feta fries were enjoyable because feta on fries is fucking fire but the fries themselves were soggy and no ketchup was included which I think should be standard. I ran into this place today for a quick bite & I am so glad I did. This Middle Eastern cafe/kiosk serves really great AUTHENTIC dishes. I selected the chix kebab platter & it came with 2 skewers of boneless white meat chicken grilled to perfection. About 14 half dollar sized chix pieces. It was moist, juicy & flavorful. I had the hummus & grape leaves as my 2 sides. They were both solidly good. I like my hummus a bit more creamy with more garlic & lemon but this was still quite good. The grape leaves were fresh & tasty! I was a bit disappointed that the wraps & plates didn't automatically come with tzatziki. Every Med restaurant I have visited includes that as a condiment. It's considered a side here which was disappointing. The bread is very fresh although not warmed when served. This place is the definition of a hidden gem! I will admit, yes upon arriving it can be a bit weird because it is in a gas station, but it is not crappy gas station food! This is authentic homemade Mediterranean cuisine. Their wraps are amazing, and gigantic in size for their relatively inexpensive prices. The plates come with a ridiculous amount of food for under $15, and the service has always been great. I am a frequent customer of Mr.Kebab, coming here at least once a week because it's right down the street from where I work. Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed. I am def gonna give this place a 5.. I love and covet Mediterranean food. I totally dig hole in the wall restaurants but I was iffy about this place tho being a gas station. I ordered the beef platter, my husband ordered the beef wrap and my kids got the hummus and pita. The beef was cooked to perfection! The tender juices was so delish! The hummus was right on point! The tabbouleh am accustomed to is more cilantro on the ratio with tomatoes but this more tomato and heavy on the cilantro, I found myself thoroughly enjoying it this way, the lemon juices and flavor with the seasonings again was on point! The platter came with 2 sides and pita bread. I love that they had some selections of healthier options juices to choose from. I was very appreciative to get some good food here because I had just had a disgusting experience at "the gyro company" in Plymouth and was so pissed for spending 40 bucks on garbage so to come here and get such lovely flavors and on point Mediterranean food made my day! read more

However, don't let the location scare you away with notions of "gas station food." It is anything but that. I was heading back to my office and needed a healthy option for dinner. I got the mixed kabob dinner with sides of baba ganoush and tabbouleh. All I can say is wow. The food is fresh and all homemade. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly. It was exactly what I needed. The service is friendly and they are proud of the product they put out. I've been back for lunch and got a kabob salad with their homemade hummus. Consistently good. This is a new business. although built into a gas station, the facility is immaculate, a key requirement in any food establishment. The personnel are friendly, knowledgeable, and know how to properly prepare their menu. I have tried everything on the menu from their stuffed Grape Leaves to the Kafta and Falafel. YUM! The portions are large enough to satisfy the male appetite too. All dishes are cooked to order so if your time is limited, order by phone! Also, unlike many restaurants, they close at 8pm, and are closed on Sundays, so keep that in mind when you need your Mediterranean fix! read more

And then I read the reviews and thought, even better, a decent middle-eastern place on the Cape. I'm still looking for a decent middle-eastern place on the Cape. OK, the shawarma was not shawarma. At all. Not even close. Schwarma is a prepared meat that is cooked on a vertical rotisserie and shaved off as it is roasted. Its the same meat that is in a gyro sandwich. This was just beef cut into thick strips and cooked on a grill until dried out. Terrible. And the sides were not much better. The grape leaves and hummus were pretty similar to the ones I get at the grocery store, if not exactly the same ones I get at the grocery store. The jury's out on that. And the only reason you would come here is the food. It's in a gas station. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired. Really disappointing. The salad was fresh, and the tahini sauce was good. Ok I'll start by saying when you find this place you are pulling into a gas station and might be weirded out but we decided to try it based on the reviews. The food is not gas station food. It real legit and authentic food. I had the chicken plate and it came with pita, garlic spread and I chose the Tzatziki and tabbouleh salad to be healthier. I very much want this place to succeed. They are literally the classic hidden gem. If their food was better, we should expect Guy Fieri rolling in to extol their virtues. Their Kabobs are mediocre. They are not unpleasant but they are grill cooked and not the result of layering and spicing. I think that is your Achilles Heel. Everything else, the supporting cast is great. Their hummus, their eggplant, their Montreal based pita, is outstanding. They truly are. If they could get their act together with the meat, we would literally have an episode here.
