I can't say enough good things about Nancy's Noah's Ark. My daughter attended NNA from preschool through Kindergarten and loved it so much she has requested to go back the past few years for their summer camp! The teachers and staff are warm, nurturing and attentive. They create a safe and engaging environment where kids can learn, play and grow. We always look forward to their thoughtfully planned summer activities. From arts and crafts to outdoor play, each day is filled with creativity and fun. Still going strong! My daughters now finishing up pre-k at Nancy's this year. She loves it! She will sing songs from school daily, beg to say grace before dinner and gets really excited to show us her art projects. If we pick her up too early, she gets upset and wants to stay at school. Our family loves Miss Nancy and all of the teachers and staff at the school. On the rare occasion we have had a concern, they have addressed it immediately. The first day I arrived to the Seattle area, I hit the ground running looking for adequate childcare for my youngest son Jax. Believe it or not finding proper childcare is just as hard as finding/finalizing a home in the Seattle area; so many factors (primarily due too to traffic for morning and evening commutes) come to play when finding the perfect childcare center for your little one. My husband works downtown, and I primarily work in the Bellevue area so having early morning care (before 8am,) is essential along with a host of other childcare must haves. After walking into Noah's Ark and meeting Nancy; I knew in 15 minutes I wanted my little guy in her care. The center was extremely clean, family oriented, filled with holiday warmth, and ALL of the children were HAPPY and CALM. I was so sad to learn the center starts care for 2 year old and up. As soon as Jax turns 1 I will be placing him on the list for enrollment for the next year. read more

I have worked here a few years ago and finally felt brave enough to leave a review. The other teachers I have worked with were great. Some kind of intimidated me and were a little strict for preschool kids, but I did not mind as kids can be a bit hard to handle at times. The management on the other hand. OH MY GOD. Yes this is a Christian establishment and I knew this. But when I tell you that the owner and her daughter (whos a manager) did not display christian behavior. I am not a Christian, but I respect their views. These ladies were extremely rude and unprofessional. I was maybe 18 when I had the job and had my share of mistakes. Being late a few times. They were upset, rightfully so. Their solution? Write me up for the second time being late, fair. Understandable. Bring me to the office to find a solution, fair understandable. The tone the daughter had with me. Not acceptable. She talked to me like I was one of the kids or if she was my mother. Gave me the motherly death glare and from there always was rude to me. After she yelled at me I went back to the classes. I had my head down playing building something with the kids. She came into the classroom and yelled DAISY ARE YOU ON YOUR PHONE. Ma'am what?? No I was anxious from the yelling you just did to me. I was literally 18 years old. The third and final time I was late, TWO MINUTES after the shift started at maybe like 6:32am or something like that she CALLED MY MOM!!!! My mother was beyond upset as we had a family emergency arise and she should not have called her that early or at all. It is extremely unprofessional and I know she wouldn't have done that to one of the older staff working there. They also would interfere with my teaching style IN FRONT OF THE CHILDREN rather than talk to me on the side about what I could do different. How will I get the children to respect me if the management won't? I was so anxious to go to work everyday I would cry. Everytime management talked to me they were either rude or passive aggressive. I was so anxious that I couldn't even go to pick up my last check, because apparently if you quit you don't get direct deposit but have to go in person. So I just lost a full overtime paycheck because that's how much I was anxious about this place. Very unprofessional and I would not recommend working here. read more

I can't speak for their academics or their experience with children but as far as the business end goes they could use a few customer service lessons. I read some of their reviews on another site while I've been checking out preschools for my almost 3 year old. Other reviews mentioned their rudeness and I must say I agree. When I walked in the blonde at the front wasn't very welcoming, especially for it being a daycare/preschool. I told her we were interested in some information on the preschool and she says well we're full but I you can be put on a waiting list but it's long. I just responded with "oh, okay" and she said "let me see if there's someone that can give you a tour", she went into the next room (that has windows to where I'm at and I can see) walks back and says why don't you go sit. So I did and I sat there for 10 mins and watched the 4 women just talk in the room. Finally a woman came from the back, she looked at me and says "so your looking for a tour? Maybe you can come back when we have some time for that"....uh wow! So I said well I don't necessarily need a tour I was just hoping for some information on your preschool. She (miss Linda) was very un-informative and unhelpful. She did give me a sheet to take and it had the least amount of information possible, just the prices and times. Nothing explaining their academics or how they run their facility. I did ask of they do a snack time and she looked at me like it was the dumbest question ever and says uh no I mean it's just half day. I have no intentions of taking my daughter there and would not recommend them to anyone. Basically I felt like I just inconvenienced and bothered them. read more

I'm sorry that a previous yelper didn't have a great front-desk experience. Though I understand the deterrent, there's so much more to the school than the first 15 feet. Also, it's worth noting that almost every well-run care facility requests an appointment to tour/get info. That aside, we've been going to Nancy's for not-quite-a year and have graduated from the pre-school classroom to the pre-K class. We've attended another school in the city (2 years) as well as another daycare/preschool in the Mill Creek/Bothell area (1 month). Of the three experiences we had, there was absolutely no comparison. Nancy's is the most nurturing, complete, creative, organized school I've ever walked into. Programming covers monthly learning themes, dress up days (about twice each month), household safety lessons, music, Spanish, sign language, science days/experiments, live performances, and art in quantities you can't imagine. The quality of staff and instruction is phenomenal. Communication from the school/administration is really clear and timely. Is it religious? A bit. We are not religious at all which is why we didn't check out this school originally but I wouldn't let that get in the way of giving it a try. There are a few Bible stories and songs scattered into the mix but the lessons contained in them are in the vein of "relevant regardless of orientation". Pricing seemed reasonable to me considering value and was actually less than the other school we attended briefly in the area which was of significantly less quality. Go see it for yourself and do consider making an appointment. It is really the kind of place that kids love and flourish. read more

I can't say enough about Nancy, the people, and the school. We relocated at the end of the school year from out of state and were at a loss for preschools for my 5 year old son. He had been in the same Montessori school since he was 3 months and was anxious about starting over somewhere new. Several of the preschools I called were full, but one of the directors I spoke with recommended Nancy's Noah's Ark. I called and spoke with Nancy. She is so warm and friendly and I could tell right away that her main concern is the children. She suggested I bring my son in for a trial day to see how he liked it. We went in and toured the school and it was clean, the kids all seemed happy, the teachers and staff were friendly-it was great. I brought my son back two days later for his trial day and he LOVED it. He ran around the house screaming about how much fun he had and how great his new school is. Now we are having to move again after only a month in this area (the housing market here is very challenging) because we purchased a home in Snoqualmie. I am so sad that we will have to leave Nancy's because we have been so happy to find such a great school. I would highly recommend if you are looking in this area. They even bus from the elementary school for older kids. read more

My son went through their whole system and for the most part I'd say that he's done great. Staff has always been helpful to me, whether it's the front desk or the teachers. Not sure what happen to the other reviewers, but I've had good experiences with them, which prompted me to write a small review. My two boys attend the after program at Nancy's. Everyone is super sweet and they always have a blast. My guys are usually pretty clingy and want to be with me all the time, but they actually ask me not to pick them up too early because they don't want to miss out on the fun! My son has been attending Nancy's Noah's Ark for a 3 weeks now. He loves it and so do I. All of the teachers were greeting him by name within days. The facility is amazing and very clean. Every teacher I have met is great and the kids all seem to adore them. It is a little pricier than other options in the area but I feel it is well worth the investment. My son has actually cried a few times when I picked him up because he was having so much fun and didn't want to leave yet. I am so impressed with all of the work he has brought home so far. I can see his little mind at work and can tell that already he is learning new things. I would highly recommend Nancy's Noah's Ark to anyone. read more

My daughter, 4, is now in her 2nd year here at Nancys. She absolutely loves it here! I feel so lucky and completely comfortable knowing she is in great hands with the teachers. She has blossomed and learned so much. Songs, Spanish, sign language, manners, calendar..I love hearing about all that she has learned! They have monthly art books they take home with all of their projects. She is learning her letters so quickly. They have special days where they get to dress up or themed days which makes it really fun for the kids. This school is really great and it makes me so happy how happy she is!! read more
