Absolutely terrible establishment, unsafe, unorganized and dirty worst staff in childcare I've ever dealt with

This was the third Kindercare our daughter attended. She went to one in Redmond and we had nothing but problems, dishonesty and reoccurring issues that had been addressed numerous times. She was there for 10.5 months. The next Kindercare she was only in for a week because it was that bad. When we arrived at the Edmonds Kindercare, we were skeptical about the experience we would have based on our previous nightmares. My husband and I were shocked by the staff. They were absolutely amazing. My daughter is in the Toddler B classroom and talks about her teachers when we are at home. She cant wait to go back to school each day and see Ms.Lenee & Ms. Mercedes (these are her primary teachers). Almost daily, I take home artwork or photos of my daughter that she worked on at Kindercare that week. I always feel like there is great communication among the staff. If there is a different teacher in my daughters room, they almost always know what went on in the classroom and can answer questions. If the teacher did not know the answer right away, they always got back to me later that day or the next morning, which is not something we experienced in other centers. We also have a 4.5 month old little boy. Towards the end of my maternity leave they encouraged me to bring in my little guy to have a few hours of practice at kindercare so that our transition was easier once I went back to work. I have to mention that since he was 5.5 weeks old we have been trying to get him to take a bottle and he refused it. The teachers in the infant room, the director Ashleigh & many other helping hands made sure my little boy was comforted and fed all while being very patient with his lack of interest in a bottle. He now is taking one with no problems at all. My husband disclosed to me just yesterday why he likes this center so much. He said "they are real" They don't sugar coat the truth, they are honest about your child's day and really take the time to get to know the parents. I feel close with many members of the staff and am so grateful we got to be a part of their lives. I am so sad to say that this Wednesday will be our kids last day at this center due to my husbands job relocation to Chicago. Any child would be lucky to be cared for by the the loving staff at the Edmonds Kindercare. We will miss you all tremendously and hope to stay in touch. read more

My two young daughters have been coming here since April 2016. I absolutely love their kind disposition the way they greet us each morning. I feel that my children are safe and well cared for. They value families and diversity which is super important to us. I recommend Edmonds Kindercare to anyone looking for childcare. read more

This has been the worst experience. My son has had 3 incident reports in less then I month and he is only 5 months. He had a huge red mark on his fore head that was the size of a coin quarter. I was told he rolled off the boppy pillow and hit his forehead on the ground. When I picked him up, I was not given an explanation until I asked and then I was not given an incident report for 2 weeks. The second was a scratch on his face which I was told he did himself but she was sure to tell me as soon as I walked in the door informing me I need to cut his nails and this time she had the incident report ready. This was with the same teacher that the first incident happened and she did not have a background check but still the second time was left alone with my son each time. She also lied on the incident report for the injury on his forehead, changing her story on how it happened trying to blame it on tummy time. I heard her loud and clear the first explanation. She told me something different then what was written on incident report that I received weeks later. Had I not asked her why he had a mark on his forehead she wouldn't have mentioned it. Another teacher was alone with my son without a background check but she gave me an incident report because he had a red mark on his cheek, saying during tummy time she noticed the mark on his cheek. My son has been left with teachers that did not have background checks. These things never happen at home. His crib says in does not roll and this is a lie. Myself as well as others have seen it. Maybe they would watch him better if they seen the sign says he rolls. Most of the staff doesn't even have background check including the one left alone with my son when he hit his forehead on something after rolling off the boppie pillow. I was told one of the higher ups took safety carpets out because they were ugly. They need to improve their supervision. I'm highly disappointed and thought they had it together. I have reported them to the end harm hotline for the licensing violations and my sons injury. I personally lifted babies off the cold hard floor because they scooted or rolled off the soft area or from the boppie pillow because staff had not yet noticed they were on the floor. I saw a baby crying and tired of tummy time. Her face was on the edge of the rug and almost on the floor in a matter of 1 more scoot. Staff just sat there until I mentioned it. She was obviously over tummy time. A staff has her own daughter there and sat right in front her and did not wipe her nose. Her daughters snot was thick and going into her mouth. Funny thing is she has not background check on file either but her picture is on the infant door wall. Many babies with runny noses. Thank goodness my son never had a runny nose. I had to tell management about this also. They place the boppie pillows on the edges of the rug to put as many babies on 1 rug. Toys are often mixed in because the crawlers can take toys out as well as staff take them out for them. This is why I think my son hit his forehead on toy or maybe the floor. I can't imagine that mark is created by hitting carpet. The carpet needs to be replaced. My complaints also is regarding Lifetouch Photography. Lifetouch is the worst. Choose a different company for photos because I wont spend another dime with that company. I was not given all I paid for. Management has no solutions. How does a baby have 3 incident reports in less then a month. When my son does tummy time at home there are no marks period. I send him to school without and he should be returned to me without. Also learning maybe a little however I have received Daily's since September and only 3 have said anything about what my son learned. The emails send are beautiful and say what he should be learning. I find the staff is limited on experience although there are 2 I adore. Nothing against them. I am sure they know who they are because I let them know when they are there as I give a sigh of relief to see their faces. This situation has made me emotional and unhappy with what I have seen and experienced. I defiantly didn't expect any of this. I am sorry to have to share the hard core truth but at the end of the day it is all business. I work in this profession as well so I know how we should carry ourselves professionally, put families first and meet the requirements. The Assistant Director talks in circles and the newly hired Director is clueless. I had to tell them their staff has no background checks on file. Why doesn't management know this? Makes me worry about other required training the staff does not have. This is a huge requirement and no staff is to be left alone with a child without one. Each time my child had an injury he was left alone with a staff that did not have background check. Lucky for them all I won't name names. We shall see what this lying management does from here. Beware and check the del.wa.gov childcare check site. Proceed with caution. read more

I've had my 2 boys in Kindercare since 2012. The teachers are great and the current Pre-K teachers are SO incredible. I love how much they care and that they take the time to talk to me about my child and how his day was. read more

Awesome daycare! To be honest I'm surprised by the lack of stars for this place. My daughter has been going there on/off for about 4 years. When I had my son this is the first place I thought of. I recommend every parent thats looking for childcare that they use this day care. They're absolutely amazing here. I feel & know both of my boys are well tooken care of. We have 2 boys that go here and have been extremely happy with their care. The teachers and directors genuinely care about the kids and get to know each child and their specific needs. Any concerns are addressed immediately and the staff is always open to discuss our child's development. Thank you for taking such great care of our kiddos during the day. read more

This daycare has some decent people working for it but I also noticed a lot of kids are sick and my daughter was sick all of the time when she went there. I even mentioned it one time. And I have witnessed teachers being sick working. Overall I've seen a lot of teachers that are caring compassionate people but I have witnessed older kids being in with younger kids which I don't think is good and younger babies (who still crawl) crawling around on dirty floors. Also I have been having an issue with getting a refund from these guys and it's taken more than 2 months to get it and I STILL don't have it. There have been 2 errors so far that have contributed to this delay. So I haven't been happy about that. I would say think it through if you want to go to this daycare. read more

Please relocate your recycling container from the front of the QFC parking lot. It is attracting all kinds of illegal dumping and that area of the community looks like the ghetto. read more
