Took my younger sister to Nancy nails for a new set of nails, the lady over filed her nails to the point where my sister was bleeding. The nail lady denied it and said my sister came in that way... it wasn't until I got the owner "Nancy" to come over and she admitted the lady's accident???? Wouldn't apologize or give a discount or even show any remorse at all, my poor sister is saying her nails are stinging also... don't think that's normal! Boycott Nancy nails read more

rushed, underwhelming. I wish that they wouldn't overbook themselves, and just do a good job on everyone. I had an appt, we were still super rushed with a sub optimal job imo. I'd rather pay more to get a better quality treatment which is why I won't be going here again. read more

honestly feel that I shouldnt have to give even one star for this place. If staff are questioned about product, they will refuse to answer. Every product they use is not in the original container. If questioned about their training, they refuse to tell you where they were certified. Are you even certified? Do you have a real certificate that is legal.. Myself and many of my friends have not once seen any sterilization process. Everything is done before you get there to see it. I've personally witnessed equipment being using on more than one person without any cleaning done in between. Pay attention... have they washed their hands? Have you seen it. What if that tool used on you was used by someone who had been punctured? I'm severely concerned about the cleanliness of this place.. how many possible risks of infections there is.. how sterile really is this place? From what I've seen, it isnt at all. I've seen many infections come from this place. It's disgusting. How harmful are their product? You'll never know because they out right refuse to answer what it is they use or what the contents of them is. How am I supposed to know if there is a chemical that isnt supposed to be used? How am I supposed to know if there isnt one of my allergies in their shady jars? I have ever right to be told what it is that they are using on me. I've now been certified myself, this way I know how it happens and what it is being used. The "solar gel" they use is not gel... it is an acrylic nail with a gel top coat. They also claim to offer "powder gel" I'm sorry...? What powered GEL? It literally says what it is in the name.. FREAKING GEL. in what world is gel powdered? I will not be lied to about what is being put on my nails. You are risking infection and allergic reaction choosing this place. Not to mention, you WILL be ripped off. You will be charged the price of a REAL gel set and get acrylic or a gel polish over your real nail. Myself and many of my friends have fell victim to this girls chop shop. The nails are never well done. They are never all one shape. They have constant problems. And this salon? Nothing but problems. DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR!!! Save your nails from whatever questionable product they have lied to you about. Save yourself from the major risk of infection. Save yourself from discrimination. A MAN CANT GET THEIR NAILS DONE?? Since when? I've seen many men get their nails done here, but yet my friends have been denied for being male? Get a grip. There is a whooooooole lot shady about this and frankly this business needs to be highly questioned, investigated and shut the hell down. read more

Great job on nails. I am a return customer and appreciate the hard work for a very reasonable price! Awesome employees! Gel nails are great with no lifting and pedicures last almost 2 months (shellac). Would highly recommend read more

A few days ago I visited Nancy's salon. It was in the morning and the place was empty. There was a lady at the desk asking me what I wanted. I needed a pedicure. She almost yelled that to the back and a young skinny asian girl came out. She did not say hello or anything else during the whole time, looked a lot out the door or window and as soon as she was finished, she disappeared. When she was walking to get something she was dragging her shoes over the floor like they have been too heavy to lift. After she was done I walked to the front desk to pay. The lady gave me the machine with the amount already entered, then gave me the receipt and that was it. Back to the magazine she was reading. No thank you, no nothing. Well, no tip either! I really felt like a was interupting their morning. I will not go back and I won't recommend that place either read more

My special needs client had a pedicure done here. We were quoted $35. They proceeded to charge her $64 and told her the charge did not go through. They rang a second charge through of $54. I took her back to the spa and showed them on her bank statement where they had charged her twice and overcharged her. They would not refund her any money. She paid with a debit card. I definitely would NOT recommend this business to anyone. read more

I love going here! Friendly staff and beautiful work on nails. My family makes going here an annual event

This place is cheap and quick with decent quality. I also like that you can just drop by on a whim and get seen very quickly. I have read the other reviews of this salon on yelp and marvel at people's expectations for a $37 pedicure. Shame on you people, put it into perspective. read more

Was driving around and saw this spot thought I'd get a pedicure...decided to upgrade to a spa pedicure. This selection was more expensive and did include more services. I left with my feet still feeling like sand paper...I was a bit disappointed with the outcome. The girl was great but I just don't think I get the full service. read more

First time going there and not too impressed, the lady that did my nails was quite rough and nicked me a couple of times deep enough to draw blood. I just hope the cleanliness of the equipment is better than that of the stations. there was nail dust from previous patrons on the tables and they don't seem to use disposable equipment. She did a good job with my nails though, I just wish they weren't try to rush thru clients. read more

Very unfriendly service, no talking, no smiling, no eye contact. It's been like that since the ex wife took over. That's okay, if they don't want my business, nail techs are a dime a dozen, I'll go elsewhere. There's not much more unpleasant than going to a haughty nail tech. Getting your nails done should be a refreshing experience! read more

I don't know why it's so hard to find a nail salon in Kelowna that is clean, has professional staff and respectful nail techs. Nearly all the saloons that I've visited seems to reuse files and clippers that have been used on other clients. They often over charge. They talk among themselves in Chinese as though you weren't even there. It's the same problem with this place. Every time I have a toe polish change the owner says that the price is $3.00 more than the brochure price. When you remind him, he will charge you the lower price. Last time I was there I asked for a toe polish change but the receptionist told the tech that I wanted a pedicure. By the time I noticed it, she had started the $37 pedicure but I just couldn't be bothered telling her because she barely spoke English. When she finished polishing my nails, she simply got up and sat in the back room and never came back to remove the cotton between my toes. Waited for 15 minutes and finally got up, removed the cotton myself paid and left.....Never to return. Oh, and the pedicure was awful. read more

I thought I would get a pedicure while I was on vacation from Vancouver and I have to say "what a mistake"!!!!! It was the worst experience I have ever had, the pedicure itself was horrible and the actual nail polish that was applied was clumpy and uneven. When I went back a few hours later to have the polish redone the owner Nancy was the most rudest person I have ever met, blaming me for ruining the nail polish and telling me not to touch anything!!! What a mistake! Never go here it is NOT worth the money!!! read more

I went here once for prom and I will never go again. I got the mani pedi special, with an appointment. I arrived to my appointment 15 minutes early, and waiting for service until 30 minutes after my appointment was set. As they only have two chairs in their waiting area, I stood for 45 minutes. I was then directed to sit down in the pedicure chairs with a woman who refused to speak cleaning my feet. I tried to talk to her and ask her what she was doing as I'd never had a pedicure before and she did not answer any questions. When we moved on to manicure I verbally contemplated upgrading to fake nails, and the woman at the front desk interrupted with "no, you can't afford those". She obviously had no idea what my financial situation was and simply assumed this. Because of that the woman doing my manicure refused to give them to me (by just shaking her head). After she finished painting my nails, she simply walked away. I thought maybe she's going to get some clear coat or something? No, she never returned. I sat in the chair for about 20 minutes unsure what to do before the woman at the table next told me I could leave. And then the second I stepped out of the store, my toe nail polish smudged (after it had been drying for about 45 minutes). read more
