She is so kind and genuinely cares about your experience with her. Over the last year, I have ordered 3 cakes. 1 was a wedding cake for my sister's wedding, and the other 2 were birthday cakes. I love each cake I have ordered. All I've done is share flavor profiles of interest and an inspiration picture of what I am looking for, and when I get the cake, it is beyond my wildest dreams.. To book with here is easy. She has a website where you can input the dates and inspiration photos. She will contact you by email to confirm or answer any questions you have, and once everything is finalized, she will send you an invoice. Her price is generous for the amount of work she puts into her cakes. For the 3 cakes I've ordered, I've also gotten delivery with them. She will communicate and confirm everything before delivery. I am beyond thankful I found her because she truly is the best. For the last 2 delivered cakes, she also provided some leftover pastries she made. I got to sample her millionaire shortbread (absolutely delicious), her oatmeal cookies, brownies, and carrot cake loaf. For the 2 birthday cakes I ordered, they were white cake with cinnamon buttercream frosting. OMG, to die for. It's so moist and not too sweet. The cinnamon is not overbearing and adds a nice razzle dazzle to the cake. The wedding cake was a 2-tier cake, with one layer being red velvet with cream cheese frosting and the other being white cake with cinnamon frosting and vanilla buttercream frosting on the outside. It was a hit; there was some leftover cake after the wedding, and people immediately found a box to take it home. None of her frosting tastes artificial. You can tell she uses quality ingredients. I love her work and her delicious cakes. I recommend Stacie 1000 times over!

Sarah was SO responsive and was able to accommodate a pretty last minute request. And on top of that, we then changed our mind about the kind of cake we wanted. I would have understood if she turned us away, but she didn't! She made it happen. She also doesn't make one of the desserts we were looking for but was kind enough to refer me to where I could find it. I was already impressed with and grateful for the great service, but the VIP clients I ordered the cheesecake for said it was to die for! I can't wait to try one of her creations myself. We will absolutely be using Mad Batter for our next cake order in the Sacramento area. Thank you, Sarah!

I ordered a custom birthday cake and paid $117 upfront through Zelle…read more After I sent the payment, the owner informed me she no longer had access to that Zelle account. She said she would contact her bank and still confirmed my order. Just two days before my daughter's birthday party, the owner told me her family had norovirus and offered to either make the cake or cancel with a full refund. I appreciated her honesty and chose to cancel since the cake would be served to many children. Having to find a replacement cake only two days before the party caused me a great deal of stress, a parent planning a large birthday celebration, this added unnecessary pressure during an already busy time. Despite that, I remained understanding because I knew her family's illness was beyond her control. The owner asked for other ways to refund me, I sent her my Venmo information and she promised my refund would be sent "in the next couple of days." More than a week later, I still have not received my $117 refund despite multiple polite follow-up messages. I also contacted my bank, but they explained they couldn't dispute the payment because it was successfully sent to her Zelle account. Since the recipient banks with a different financial institution, they couldn't investigate what happened after the funds were received. What frustrated me the most throughout this experience was the lack of communication. I never knew if or when I would receive a response. Sometimes I had to follow up just to get an update, and now my messages have gone unanswered altogether. A simple update would have gone a long way. I understand emergencies happen, and I genuinely appreciated the owner's honesty about her family's illness. However, promising a refund, acknowledging the payment issue was their responsibility and then failing to communicate or issue the refund has been very disappointing. As of today, more than a week after she promised to send my refund, I am still waiting to receive it and have not received any communication from her. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this bakery at all.

I was so wrong. We devoured the cupcakes - they were moist, fluffy, just the right size, and perfect amount of sweetness. Holy Christmas I'm drooling just thinking about it. They are on par with my all-time favorite cupcake shop in Seattle, Trophy Cupcakes. That's saying a lot. The only thing about this place is that I haven't tried more of their items! So I suppose this review is slightly unfair...I guess I need to go try some more baked goods! Hehehe.... FYI: I'm having trouble accessing their website. I asked for a beach theme cake- she gave me ideas such as a faded blue color that'll represent the beach. I didn't get any pictures before hand so I left it up to her design. I sent her a picture of a beach cake from the Internet but she said she didn't get it (huh?). My cake has a very faint blue hue that barely can be noticed and the sea shells she decorated the cake weren't realistic looking- they were pastel colored- the cake looked to me like a kids decor for Easter. I was expecting a grown up looking decor- I fixed it up though with more sea shells (real ones) to make it more adult and serious looking decor. She was kind enough to come back to see if she could help fix it which I appreciate it. Overall her cake was delicious but I thought she could of put more attempt to making it look spectacular for a wedding cake.
