A few people told us about this place and its delicious cinnamon rolls. Located right beside the pier where you take the boat out to savory island and other places, this place can be very busy. My friends tried the cinnamon rolls (original, raisin, pecan, and blackberry) and I had the pecan brownie buttertart. Other flavors were the original and chocolate almond. I also had a Lundy Fog which tasted like a London Fog. The buttertart was very sweet. Likewise for the blackberry cinnamon roll I tried. They also sell many types of dessert bars and brownies. Plus soup, lox and panini. Nice treats to have but share them if you don't like your desserts overly sweet. Maybe the sandwiches and soup will be better. I was lucky enough to show up in the morning just as the fresh- baked rolls had been pulled out of the oven and iced! There were other baked goods as well if cinnamon rolls aren't your thing. We went into Nancy's bakery just for a cup of coffee. There were so many people in the shop that we went for a walk in the hope it would be less crowded later on. Two hours later, the crowd had diminished to the point we could get to the counter. We ordered coffee and it was good coffee. Then we ordered a vegetable and meat pie. It also was very good. Then we ordered some pastries...which were also very good. So, now, we had completely ruined dinner and should have just ordered the coffee...but we didn't. Thanks Nancy! The baked goods alone are worth making a trip to Lund for - we loved their bread, and another in our party made quick work of their amazing strawberry chocolate cinnamon roll. But wait, there's more! Homemade soups, sandwiches, and daily specials such as the vegetarian chile with polenta or meat lasagna are not to be missed if you're looking for a well-priced lunch. I might add the accompanying house salad of mixed greens with pumpkin seeds and a light dressing is a knockout! Of course, the fresh baked pastries are amazing. My wife and I stopped in for a quick breakfast prior to a kayaking trip into Desolation Sound. I had a scone, she one of Nancy's classic cinnamon buns. The big problem was the coffee, or at least what was offered as coffee. Weak, bland, tasteless, but expensive. Yeah, I get that the business needs to maximize profits in the brief summer tourist season. But when charging Starbucks prices, you'd better serve Starbucks quality. read more

There's nothing like a killer bakery in the middle of almost-nowhere where you can get a coffee or a beer, a loaf of bread or brunch. As the only coffee shop available we stopped by when we arrived in Lund one sunny afternoon. I saw they had some great local beers so grabbed one while Boyfriend got a coffee. We were both super full otherwise we would definitely have got some treats - everything looked and smelled amazing! The place has a killer view over the ocean, and you can see all the boats in the marina. Their patio is beautiful and totally perfect for a sunny day. Sadly we didn't make it for brunch as we had to leave very early the following morning to catch the ferry but we'll be back in June and you'd better believe I'm going to tackle those huevos with gusto! Wow! What a treat this place is. Took a stop here coming home from Savary. I ordered a smoked salmon scramble with a bagel and it was the best bagel I've ever tasted. Crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. They didn't skimp on any of the cream cheese, I like that! My other half ordered a breakfast plate that had two types of toast, a seed and a sourdough. I gobbled those up too. Best bread I've ever had! If your heading to Savary, or I'm Lund, you must stop here! I took a pecan cinnamon bun to go, and wish I bought a box! read more

A couple of locals recommended we go here for cinnamon rolls during our visit to the Sunshine Coast. We of course had to try it! While the cinnamon rolls were pretty tasty they were too sweet and served cold. We also bought some sourdough bread which turned out to be some kind of whole wheat disappointment. Our trip to lund was made by nancys bakery. Everyone was so sweet and the baking was so good!! Sandwiches were a bit dry with the bread to grub ratio but besides that, the 50 bucks we spent there was well worth it. We were so excited to check out the famous Nancy's; what a disappointment. They not only forgot 3/4 of our order, but when they actually made our lattes 20 minutes later it was cold. I had to go in to order a second time to get them to give us our food order. When the remainder of our food order finally came out they forgot our cinnamon bun. The breads are quite nice. What upset me was that I bought a "Mixed berry" pie that was frozen. The box had "MB" written on the side. The salesperson told me it was "mixed berry". What does that mean to you? Does it mean rhubarb? I don't think so. Well that was what it was, with very few blueberries, mostly rhubarb. Do these people not know that rhubarb is one of the few foods to which many people are allergic. My daughter is one of those. Thank god I cooked it and not someone else that may not recognize it. I feel this was "bait and switch" tactics. Charge a lot, and produce a cheap misleading product. Shame on you. read more
