Delicious baked goods! Every single one I tried is amazing! People that complain about the price don't understand quality over quantity. I'll be a regular for sure

If I could sum up our experience, the attached photo would say it all. We had a confusing experience with a soft spoken and dainty barista. Then were AGHAST at the $15 croissants displayed behind the counter. Im not sure how many croissants one must sell to afford rent down here but my guess is about 10-15 should cover it... The ambience here was oddly pretentious, like we stumbled into a jazz hall that also serves as Montessori daycare; modestly furnished from a used IKEA auction. No water jug was discovered, but the espresso was decent. We left feeling elevated and parched. Is that eucalyptus even real? All jokes aside, we likely wont be back. C+ from us!

Wonderful shop! Nice selection and very friendly and accommodating. It's a cute shop with good seating. I believe the prices are worth the quality. May be pricey for some, but you get what you pay for. The amount of work involved in making croissants is labor intensive and appreciated ! Keep it up.

Goid croissants and coffee, but a bit pricey for my budget to frequent regularly. Great service and warm, inviting atmosphere.

I love bread in all forms. Apparently, Cakebread do a mean garlic loaf - with a whole bulb baked into the center. What is there not to love about that? Anyway, I didn't get to try it, so I can't review it - I just will dream about that instead. Rather, I tried out a chocolate brownie. I've been a little disappointed with brownies since I moved to the states, so I thought I would try out a Canadian version, to see if it could compare to the wonder of the brownies sold in London's Borough Market. Well, it didn't - but it was incredibly luscious. Chocolate icing on top and a surprise of biscuit (cookie) threaded through the brownie itself. I do like a bit of texture when I am chowing down. One brownie was probably a bit too rich for one person - but, I was alone - and I do hate seeing food go to waste. It's called taking one for the team, ok?

Cakebread had just what we were looking for. I wish we had more opportunities to come back as they also had a delicious looking selection of baked goods. Highly recommend the turkey croissant sandwich or the prosciutto sandwich on baguette. Both came with a delicious roasted pepper tapenade and carmelozed onion spread.
