What a find! We were reprovisioning our boat and wanted something quick, easy and healthish and found this place! Yummy sandwiches. My daughter had the veggie (full of veggies!), my son had the tuna (too many veggies for him, but I liked that he got some veggies it!) and I had the grilled cheese of the day (brie, grilled onions, bacon and arugula.) We all enjoyed our meals and the sammies were so big we couldn't finish them! I can't review the coffee, because no one ordered coffee, but we enjoyed our chai tea lattes! Service was good and friendly! We will definitely come again next time we are in town! And we'll try the coffee! read more

I eat here a fair bit and over the past few years it has become my favourite lunch stop. They can be slow at times but they food has almost always been great. A couple of times they have produced a different versions (once much smaller serving size - but when I mentioned it - they fixed it up) of the meal but I realized that that is the joy of fresh hand made food. The Java Hut is a great café to stop in and grab a good cup of coffee, breakfast, or delicious lunch. I've been here a few times and the food is always fresh and you can tell that the kitchen staff care about the quality and presentation of every plate. The only downside is the slow service. The line at the front counter moves quite slowly and you can expect to wait 15-20 minutes for your meal as it is expertly prepared - but trust me, it is well worth the wait. The wifi connection at Java Hut is also excellent! This makes it a great place to come and catch up on some work - just be sure your devices are charged as there are no outlets available in the seating area. I would definitely recommend to stop in at the Java Hut and support this local business. read more

This restaurant has amazing, healthy, feel-good food and a beautiful patio where you can eat your food, while also looking out at the ocean and Quadra Island. Their choices of coffee are also very diverse. They have many different kinds of milk such as 2%, oat milk, almond milk and more. My favourite meal is the tuna sandwich. It's absolutely delicious and packed with lots of vegetables. The staff is very kind and friendly as well. 5/5 stars for me! read more
