I took it in to be tailored as it was a bit over sized. When told that wasn't something he wanted to tackle.. I asked to have a zipper installed as I am a disabled vet and had problems with the original snaps... long story short he removed my snaps (The zipper was behind so no need) installed fake "Rivets" and didn't even seat/secure them with a tool..just pushed them in "Plugged" the hole with them. Well I lost two of them the first night I wore it. I found them on the floor. I ordered a tool to see if I could seat them, but I bought cheap wrong dies that wouldn't work. The second night worn, the zipper tore loose from the hand stitch. All in all this was beyond a shoddy rushed job that I waited over a month for. I paid $200 for the coat and $150 for this "Work". I didn't take it back and complain, I figured this is the work they do and didn't want to wait weeks again to wear a football jacket when the season is about over. I know how to sew (Thanks grandma) so I will take the $150 loss and just do all the work all over myself. So maybe I got a bad day job, I don't know...but I am throwing this out there to all. If it happened to me with my prize item..I would think hard about giving them your item. I am adding pictures of rivet heads, holes in jacket and zipper and stitching.

This bridal salon has been incredibly accommodating and I've had such wonderful experiences here so far. My first visit was to try on dresses. The sales associate was incredibly thorough with explanation of their selection, pricing and the way their store was organized. I felt a little apprehensive before my appointment because I knew there was no way I was going to fit into the "sample sizes." She did a really great job of making sure that I could envision what the dress would look like when it actually fit in the back (she made sure that the opening in the back due to the fact that I didn't fit was always covered so I wasn't exposed).They have their dresses arranged by price range, so without even going into detail with her, we were able to zero in on the right "section" for us based on our budget. I wanted a dress with sleeves on top, and at first got a little discouraged because I didn't see a lot of them...but the sales associate told me that I should look at the style of the dress and keep in mind that sleeves could be added after. I had never even thought of doing that! With her guidance, I found THE PERFECT dress! My second visit was for my first fitting. I had quite a lot of people accompany me for my fitting and we never felt crowded, rushed or like we were sharing the store with anyone else. My grandmother was there in a wheelchair with an aid, my aunt, my mother and my future mother-in-law. For those who are concerned about sharing the spotlight with another bride, consider making an appointment during a weekday. Just like anywhere else, a store like this will have more appointments on the weekend, so if you're looking for completely individual attention, you have to meet people half way sometimes! The fitting was such a wonderful experience. Their alterations department knows exactly what to do to the dress to make it look perfect. They started a pattern for the sleeves on my dress during the consultation and accommodated any requests I had as far as the shape of the dress on top with useful suggestions. They are truly experts in their field! My future mother-in-law traveled here with me from New York. She was incredibly complimentary of the staff at this store. She ended up purchasing a dress for our wedding here as well! They have an awesome selection of dresses for the rest of the bridal party as well as mothers, etc. I love the dress because it's more modern, and not matronly at all. I have made an appointment for my second dress fitting and I'm confident that my dress will truly turn out to be perfect for me. I couldn't ask for a more personalized, friendly and comfortable experience for such an important occasion. Unfortunately in the world of brides, positive reviews are few and far between and weddings sometimes bring out the worst in people. Brides can be incredibly picky and petty in this moment they've been waiting for their entire lives. I would urge anyone reading reviews of vendors for their wedding to really look at all the reviews for a place and not just the negative ones. These experiences can be incredibly emotionally charged and girls build them up in their heads so much that nothing is going to measure up no matter what.

That wasn't the problem although at the other ateration location, we only paid at pick up. The real issue was the cost!! It was extremely too high!!$108.00 compared to $80.00. $80.00 is the best bargain for excellent work, at the other location and where we will continue to get our items altered.

Not only do they do the best job I have ever seen in altering clothes down, they do a tremendous job with blue jeans and the "New York" hem. Turn around time is about a week, though they will rush something if you need it. I have had jeans done, pants hemmed, a formal dress shortened and straps tacked, and skirts taken in. This said, It was VERY easy to go in and spend $80.00. I guess you really have to pay for the quality, but you most certainly have peace of mind about how your garments will turnout.

She even put a rush on fixing it and the cost was very fair! Didn't even charge extra for the rush! The first place cut off the "horsehair braid" from the bottom of the dress to shorten it and it made the dreas look COMPLETELY different it akmost looked pleated. The other place said they couldn't fix it so we took here to Lee's Tailors and they fixed it which made my daughter so happy and relieved which made me happy and relieved lol. We have two more future prom girls and will definitely be bringing their dresses, as well as any other tailor work, to Lee's without question!
