This is my experience with Just Sew. When I received my dresses, the "seamstress" had placed pins in all four new dresses creating holes and tearing the fabric. The hems were also misaligned. When I addressed these issues with the owner he was very rude. Insisted they could "steam" the holes out. When asked why they had pinned sticky notes onto the front of the dresses (creating holes) the response was "you know very well why" No. I do not know why a person hired to alter a dress would deliberately damage the fabric. I had a disappointing experience here with the new ownership. I went to pick up my leggings after alterations and paid, but before leaving I noticed the threading had been done incorrectly. I brought it to the owner's attention immediately and was told they would fix it. I then had to wait around for about 20 minutes, only to be told they still needed more time and that I would have to come back the next day. While I am waiting, I am hearing the owner get defensive with another patron regarding black spots on her white dress that were not there when she dropped the dress off. The lack of accountability for the inconvenience was frustrating. When picking my leggings up for the second time, I asked if there could be any sort of partial refund or discount since the work had not been done correctly the first time that I had to point out, and required multiple trips, but she refused and got quite defensive at me, similar to the day before with another patron. In the end, the issue may have been corrected, but the overall customer service experience was poor. I will not be returning. read more

My wife and I have used Just Sew for many years. We have always had an excellent experience. Just this week I dropped off 2 pairs of jeans to be hemmed. The woman who helped me was very pleasant and careful. I was surprised to get a text that they were done 2 days later. I don't understand why there are some so many bad reviews for Just Sew. I worked for them for years. Ron held us to a high standard with our work. And if we ever messed up anything of a customers he paid for them to get it replaced. My best guess is these people had never had someone alter anything and assumed that taking something apart and putting it back together to fit them would be less than $20. Their prices are competitive, and their work is consistently done well. (unlike many other tailors in the Greenville area I know of) Also they are a small business with a lot of loyal customers so if a new customers are rude or ugly they won't put up with it. So be kind, ask a quote, and expect greatness! read more

I've had many hems altered by them: jeans, jackets, shirts. Their work is good, but their prices are outrageously high. They charge $30 for hem jeans, and wanted $80 to alter the sleeves of a jacket. I left. I found a place that does the same hems for $11. read more

I wish I could give them zero stars. The person at the counter was very rude. I agreed to do the work and filled out the paper work. The job consisted of Hemming curtains and putting button holes at the top so they could be used as shower curtains. He said I need 108.00 now. I ask what if I'm not satisfied with the work, I've never paid for alteration up front. It was a question and he picked up My drapes rolled them into a ball and said, I'm not doing your job. I said why? He said I offended him. I said I'm so sorry he then said doesn't change anything I'm not doing your job. read more

Do not come here. They ruined my maid of honor dress and then when I pointed out their mistakes they tried to blame it on the manufacturer but it definitely did not look like that before I came to them. Also the owner was very rude to me on the phone about it. Avoid at all cost. read more

I have been using Just Sew for 15 years, having them embroider my company logo on work shirts, hats, T-shirts and sweat shirts. I am extremely picky, but I have never had a logo off center or crooked and have never had an issue with the quality of their work. Pride in craftsmanship, a quality not found often enough. read more

The embroidery was fine, but the price of $106 for a one color job was outrageous, not in line with what others paid at other establishments. Totally my fault for not asking for an estimate, but I will shop around next time. read more

Saw the other reviews and I had to share my experiences which have all been great. The owners/staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and great at what they do. I won't go anywhere else but Just Sew and I always refer people needing alterations to them. Someone might not always be at the counter because they are actually working on alterations, wow mind blown! I'll be going in later today to get a suit altered for a wedding next month. read more

Overpriced and I agree, Just Sew wrong! I took something there to be embroidered, they kept it a month, and it had not been done! They charge $25 to embroider a NAME on an item! Don't bother. read more

Been using Just Sew for a few years now and will always go back. Unlike other reviews, they embroider shirts and jackets for my company every few months and only take a week to get them done. I can understand that a new logo may take longer if they need to get special colors, etc... per customer request. Overall; Just Sew has been great and I highly recommend them. read more

Just sew should be named Just sew wrong. I recently took a dress here to be hemmed about an inch- it was just a little too long for me. That's all I had done to it, a simple hem. When I picked the dress up, I expected the price to be 15-25 dollars, depending on whether they took an inch or an inch and a half off. When the woman told me it would be $60, I thought I must have heard her wrong. 60 dollars for a 1 inch hem!!?? That's more than I paid for the dress itself! So basically, Just sew charged me more money to remove 1 inch of fabric than Bloomingdale's charged for an entire garment. l find it absolutely unbelievable that any so called tailor would charge such an outrageous sum for such a minor alteration. No one had quoted me a price when I dropped the dress off. When I questioned the cost, the woman did not appear sympathetic in the least and expectantly held out her hand waiting for me to hand over my credit card. I really felt like they ripped me off and didn't even care. Very bad business in my opinion. read more
