My shoe separated top flap from bottom flap in the airport as we were flying out on vacation. On our second stop of our 4-stop vacation we found this shop through Yelp and very pleased that we did. Yelp is such an invaluable resource! The repair was done in an excellent fashion. Very pleased! The owner was very pleasant to deal with. I took it in to be tailored as it was a bit over sized. When told that wasn't something he wanted to tackle.. I asked to have a zipper installed as I am a disabled vet and had problems with the original snaps... long story short he removed my snaps (The zipper was behind so no need) installed fake "Rivets" and didn't even seat/secure them with a tool..just pushed them in "Plugged" the hole with them. Well I lost two of them the first night I wore it. I found them on the floor. I ordered a tool to see if I could seat them, but I bought cheap wrong dies that wouldn't work. The second night worn, the zipper tore loose from the hand stitch. All in all this was beyond a shoddy rushed job that I waited over a month for. I paid $200 for the coat and $150 for this "Work". I didn't take it back and complain, I figured this is the work they do and didn't want to wait weeks again to wear a football jacket when the season is about over. I know how to sew (Thanks grandma) so I will take the $150 loss and just do all the work all over myself. So maybe I got a bad day job, I don't know...but I am throwing this out there to all. If it happened to me with my prize item..I would think hard about giving them your item. I am adding pictures of rivet heads, holes in jacket and zipper and stitching.

The lack of accountability for the inconvenience was frustrating. When picking my leggings up for the second time, I asked if there could be any sort of partial refund or discount since the work had not been done correctly the first time that I had to point out, and required multiple trips, but she refused and got quite defensive at me, similar to the day before with another patron. In the end, the issue may have been corrected, but the overall customer service experience was poor. I will not be returning.

When I came back to pick it up, she had me try it on in a fitting room towards the back and that's when I realized this place is covered in mold. I was horrified. I explained my concerns to her and she didn't seem to care. My dress was here for a month. I still paid because I knew it took her time for the alteration but I'm not even comfortable wearing the dress now knowing the risk of mold spores in fabric, even after washing it.

After the wedding, I'll post pictures. The hustle loops are loops of elastic thread. thankfully it was only $25 for those three loops and buttons. There is no pricing transparency so we were surprised by what we paid. The owner told me that she would give pricing estimates from now on. I'd encourage you to ask and get it in writing. I went in to get two pairs of…read morepants hemmed and I was quoted $16.75 a pair and told that it would take two weeks... a little longer than I would have thought but I rolled with it. I should've walked out afterwards when she asked me to point to how far I wanted them hemmed.... Not that there was a measuring tape sitting on the table behind her (there was). I showed her how I would typically roll them in and she said she'd make it work. After two weeks I came to pick up my pants only to put them on this morning and be 99.99% certain that they're the same length as they were when I dropped them off. Also could not reprint a receipt for me after I initially said no and changed my mind after literally half a second. As someone who worked as a cashier for 5 years before, I've never encountered a system that doesn't let you reprint a receipt. They're lazy, not worried about their customers, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Go to any of the 10 other tailor shops in Greenville, because I wish I would've.
