My sister and I both were craving some Indian food and after looking at the raving reviews on this place, we decided to go to Indian Kitchen for some good ol' sisterly catching up. Upon entry, we were greeted by a very warm and friendly server- which is always a delight! After asking, he gave us some good recommendations of what to eat, and we settled on a cauliflower/potato and chicken tikki masala entree with garlic na'an and a veggie samosa. Now, both me and my sister know what good Indian food tastes like. This place was.. alright. Though the food looked the part, the food was also a bit too mellow for our tastes! Let me clarify: when you think Indian food, you think rich.. spicy.. flavorful. The food we got was simply ok and seasoned just enough to resemble a shadow of the Indian food we are used to eating. The garlic na'an was pretty standard tasting to me (you can't really mess that up!), but I found myself to be a fan the veggie samosa! The food is actually pretty good here and at a very decent price. This is our second favorite Indian food spot in the area. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because I made an online order and they forgot to pick the 2 samosas we ordered. 3.5-4 stars Paneer masala was good and so was the channa masala, pretty tasty and on point with most indian restaurants. Prices are verrrry cheap. $4.99 for channa batura, $3.99 for samosa chaat. They didnt have enough silverware for us though - had to use the plastic utensils they use for take out. Also because it is such a small place the heat from the kitchen makes the entire restaurant so hot, we could not feel the AC! Took a while to get food and did not get things in order (ordered 6 rotis, they were coming out at random times and not everyone got roti prior to finishing their entree...) Also there is no bathroom on premises and no where to wash hands after eating (which is a must in an indian restaurant) i found this very unhygenic. read more

Just stood upfront for 5 min to order 3 orders of Chicken Tikka Masala, 3 orders of Palak Paneer and 1 order of Shrimp Masada (I've never had Shrimp Masada and was excited to try) my usual order from Indian places..... I was excited to try because I love trying local. To not even be acknowledged by the two folks that were in here to me is highly disrespectful as a person who makes it a point to support local business. After about 2 minutes after being looked at (by both) and not even a hello... I broke out my trusted Galaxy 10 Plus and began recording.... I was literally hot.... after a couple of more minutes I decided to walk out after I feel as if they didn't even care to even provide a greeting..... literally from the time it took me to leave out and get in my car the lady came out as if she was checking to see if I left and sat down right in seat (in store) in front of me..... I wouldn't believe it if I didn't experience it based on the reviews of this place... I really do wish I could post video here... but I will post what I can which are pics. I wanted to see if anyone else would have the same experience as I sat here so as I am typing this I was looking to see if anyone else would patronize this business.... lo and behold a lady (of a different complexion) comes in and she left out with Indian food.... well...... got that on vid too! I have been here three times now, and have found this small family business to provide very good food and value. The steam table option is good. As noted in previous reviews, they use white breast meat for the Tikki Masala and chicken curry. The Saag Paneer is also delicious. The best part is their choice of plain or garlic naan. The time I ordered off the menu yielded a large spicy portion of Lamb Vindaloo, basmati rice, and piping hot naan. I will make my way around the menu for sure. No Rogan Ghosh unfortunately, but they have plenty of other good dishes to keep me happy for a while. Good and authentic. read more

Tonight I was dying for some savory Indian food. On a chance, I called Namaste Indian Kitchen to see if they were open. YEY! They were and happy to get my business. I ordered lamb curry, Chicken Tikka Curry and Saag (gently spiced spinach). Ooh la la! Every bite, including the naan (flat bread) warmed my heart and delighted my taste buds. First time here today, I've been craving chicken curry for some time now. First of all walking in was hot as hell. I ordered the chicken curry, cauliflower potatoes, and something else. It was ok, the chicken curry was way to watery and bland. Portions are way to small, only had about three bites of chicken curry, but they do give you a lot of rice. This place is such a hidden gem. You would never expect it looking at it from the street but it's worth the trip. The food is good & the price is cheap, which is usually always one or the other everywhere else you go! I usually get the 2 item combo ( 2x chicken tikka masala or chicken tikka masala & chicken curry) and it comes with naan & a drink for $8.99. The chicken tikka masala has a lot of flavor but if you want it to be more spicy (and it's gets SPICY), then you could always ask for them to cook it with spices in the back! The chicken curry is really flavorful too. The food is always coming out hot and the naan is perfect. Aside from the food though, What keeps me coming back is the service. The manager/owner is so so so kind. He always has a smile on his face and is genuinely caring towards his customers. His attitude takes it to the next level. I usually eat at Punjab palace but I would have no problem ever coming here if I were closer to it at the time being. If you're in this area, you should give it a try :) read more

Thought I'd give it a try because of all the reviews, however I was a bit disappointed food was bland my wife ordered the lentils & chickpeas with tendori chicken the sauce were not flavorful at all, they did not have any spiciness to them as Indian food usually has the chicken was so bland could have used some salt . I had Tikka masala I had the same experience. Spice level was about a 1 out of 10 for these dishes. Price was fair for the amount of food we got. The best part of the meal was the Naan which was lacking as well asked for the garlic Naan but didn't have enough to taste it but still pretty good. We also ordered samosas , My wife Ioves samosas and she enjoyed these they were nice and full of filling unlike other places & nicely fried and honestly the green chutney sauce the samosas came with was the spiceiest about a 4 out of 10 and most flavor item of the whole meal.
