    Shrimp salad and pad Thai
    Julie N.

Nice place, not particularly authentic but will satisfy my cravings. I got the shrimp salad with mangoes and orange papaya topped with a fish sauce dressing- the dressing was sweet yet savory, pretty good but seems they use the recipe of fish sauce over many of their dishes. There should be different versions to compliment different dishes. My honey got the pad Thai it was different from how I have ever had it but it was good enough to satisfy a starving man. The two little spoons of glass noodles and fish sauce is a nice touch, thanks chef! The servers were nice. Location was clean, would eat here again! I want to try the pho !!

Loved the food here tonight. The Malbec Argentine wine was awesome and so was the food.. would definitely recommend this restaurant.

That was not easy, as it seems that Brazilians in general don't like much spicy food.

Service here wasn't the best but the food was great- my first time trying the lunch menu…read more I waited about 15 minutes on an outside patio table before someone came to bring me a menu. I was waiting for a friend and didn't flag anyone over so I'll give them that. Once we sat down inside it took some asking to get another menu and quite a while to get our order in. The waiter looked like a new and young guy who didn't know what he was doing and didn't offer us an drink options. Lunch is a smaller menu then dinner. It comes with a few special commemorative dishes for their 10 yr anniversary. They also offer sushi sets and a few options for entradas (appetizers), principais (main course) and sobremesas (desserts). You can choose a entrada and principais or a principais and sobremesa or all three of you're hungry. The salmon tartare entrada is delicious, lightly seasoned with sesame seeds, in the top of a martini glass on a layer of white cream. It's quite filling and of generous size. I had the crispy shrimp in a gorgeous presentation around a mound of coconut rice. It was very tasty. The shrimp had their shells on but where crispy like soft crab. It was accompanied by a mild but complimentary cocktail sauce. My friend tried the pad Thai and said it was decent, which is sometimes hard to find around here. For dessert I tried the bananas flambé and it was a great presentation when she lit the alcohol on fire (see video). The caramelized sugar was delicious. It took a while to get our bill and even longer to get change! But all in all, if you have some time to spare the food is excellent if you can be patient with the service.

Togu is a small Japanese restaurant in the heart of the gastronomic area of Leblon neighbourhood,…read morein Rio de Janeiro. Dias Ferreira is a street packed with good options in terms of high end restaurants. Nevertheless, if you fancy a good all you can eat Japanese menu, or fancy a small meal, this could be the place for you (do not go for the all you can eat meal, choosing a la carte choices since there are really nice dishes to choose as well). If you love sushi and cannot stop eating them, go for the all you can eat option (rodízio in Portuguese). Sashimis are really fresh as it would be expected for a high end restaurant like Togu. Quality of hot Philadelphia is superb. For those who are not familiar with this warm sushi with salmon and cream cheese, try this one, with the crusty outside simply perfect. After eating so much I could barely speak, I was presented with the included desert: a delicious apple and cinnamon harumaki with cinnamon ice cream. Absolutely spot on. The only downsides are the high price, which is expected for that area and sort of quality anyway, and the exclusion of the all you can eat menu of all the pieces containing any sort of roe.
