McKinney Brothers Tree Service was recommended and from beginning to end, Kimberly promptly contacted me back and the owner Kirk and his crew had 2 trees trimmed at my late parents home so grass could grow. I needed a large maple tree removed from my backyard and our tight gate opening didn't allow for…read morelarger machinery. Went with Lopez Landscaping since they had the smaller equipment and manpower to get the job done. The tree was quickly removed but it was a 3 star maybe 3.5 star experience because of the additional work needed to coordinate everything. The good: - competitive quote and they were able to come by quickly to assess the work - flexible in bringing equipment that worked with tight openings - main tree removal was done in 5 hours - removed paver stones so they wouldn't be damaged by machinery - friendly and professional. They accommodated a special request to cut a section for a table The bad: - rescheduling was a huge pain. We had to go back and forth for 3 weeks and I had to proactively follow up to confirm if they were coming - unable to grind the stump as part of the initial quote so had to pay another $400 for them to come back with a different machine - never got an invoice despite asking for one multiple times To summarize, this seems to be a nice family business that has experience removing trees quickly. However, it doesn't appear there is a back office that keeps everything organized so you're going to have to do a lot of work to stay on top of things.

The job involved removal of two dead 60 ft high oak trees in awkward locations, and some tree limbs that needed to go, especially as a storm was forecasted in coming days. They completed the work within just a few days of the estimate and were professional, careful, and well-equipped. They lowered pieces carefully with ropes, cut the stumps super low, and did an excellent clean up. Communication was excellent with quick responses by email or phone. I'd definitely use them again.
