He came out when promised, was on time and very kind. After looking at my fireplace, he told me that it should be in fine working order, but it wasn't working because it didn't have the burner. The gas line had been capped and all that was in there were the logs. When he said that, it was an 'aha moment'...I felt quite dumb asking him out for nothing. He was honest with me and said that he doesn't typically 'install', when there's nothing wrong with a fireplace. He said that it is very simple to do, and I could do it myself. He spent the next 15 minutes walking me through the process and informing me about my fireplace and what size burner to get and where I could get it. He shared important safety information with me as well. I could tell that he probably wasn't going to charge me for his visit, so I offered $20 and a solid review of my experience on yelp. Charlie was clearly the kind of businessman that wouldn't take advantage of ignorant people. This is the most important quality in any business. He certainly could have milked me for money, bought what I needed and charged me to install it. Instead he taught me how to do it myself and gave me safety tips and tips on how to save money as well. I will certainly refer to him anyone I can, and call on him whenever my fireplace truly needs repair.

She had tried to fix it in her own, but the glass was screwed on so tightly that she wasn't able to get access. In addition, the glass had become foggy and clearly had not been cleaned for a long while. After opening it, it seemed like the previous owner had tried to burn real wood in the gas fireplace. Charlie was able to get the glass off, which took quite a bit of effort. He fixed the pilot light and adjusted the flames. It works perfectly now.

By the time, I finally reached John, he knew exactly what was wrong! He is super honest and his price was amazing depending on what your issue is with your AC. My issue was I needed a new compressor which the other two bozo clowns couldn't figure out. My only regret is that I wish I found John as my first contractor instead of interviewing and working with the other two bozos! I live in Newark. So much so that it gave me the confidence to buy my first home without A/C because I knew I could just call Calvey. A few years later I did just that. Damn, it's been a couple of months now and I've been able to control the climate of my entire house from my phone, optimizing the temperature and sometimes making it as low as 66F to just enjoy the air being crisp. The install has been fantastic quality and the crew listened to everything I wanted every step of the way. They mounted rat spikes where I wanted, they put the lines and the units exactly where I asked and I've had no issues at all. I truly believe with home price comparisons in my area that I made money off of the install because it increased my home value. My golden retriever is happy, I am 100% happy and I will see you guys again next home upgrade. :)
