Work and attitude. Came and got regular manicure. They used get polish and since it was unsealed it flaked and chipped before the night was over. I came thinking they had made a mistake and the owner yelled at me and said it was my fault. Very embarrassing

Update! I went back exactly 2 weeks later. My nails were extremely ready to be redone, but were still holding on for dear life, so I was mostly satisfied with how it lasted. This time Don was ready and waiting for me as I entered. The service was just as quick as last time (1hour) and quality was even better. I noticed Mary spent more time on my basic pedicure this time around and I appreciated that. I think I've found my goto salon!

I have been getting my nails done by Don for 2 years. He is very sweet and will be able to recreate almost any design you show him.

Go to Don! He's amazing :)

I came here bc my friend recommended me to Don and he's the BEST. Super friendly, fast and efficient. This is my second time coming back to him and he has a loyal customer for life. It's extremely difficult to find people who are willing to do the current trends but he's extremely artistic and always kills it! All I have to do is show him a picture of what I want and he gets it down. Highly recommend :)

Great service and beautiful work always! So happy I found this nail salon after patroning many over the years. It's a hidden gem!

I've been coming to nailtastic for what I would call a year, most of the times I get there it's busy, which it's a good thing!! so its good to call ahead and see how they're doing before you get there Don it's great, I've never gotten a result I didn't like with him and he is meticulous on taking care of your nails. The vibe it's nice, I bet Don will remember your name the second time you are around I think I've gotten gel manicures by all the artists and they all do a great job.

First time at Nailtastic & I'm sold! Daie (I could be spelling it wrong) did amazing & he always checked in with me to see if I liked the shapes before continuing. I showed him an inspo picture for cheetah print & he nailed it. I came in 2 weeks later after I noticed my pedicure was lifting that I had gotten done else where & he re did them for me & I love it! The shape is so much better too.

Cut my finger. It was worse at the salon

I reached out to Dai the following day after this review to let him know about my unsatisfied visit and he reached out to me with an offer to come back and fix it or to get a refund - which I appreciated. The reason I didn't want a refund was because I had to leave the city the day after and had no time to get my nails done for the New Year, so I decided to give him another try. Unfortunately, I wasn't happy with the work done on my nails yet again. The shape wasn't filed to perfection, although he had filed the living hell out of my nails. He was very rough with my nails and hands, to the point it was hurting me. I asked him to do a more simple design as I believed he wasn't capable of doing difficult and extraordinary designs, yet he failed to do a simple french tip. I even told him to just do gel instead of powder so it'd be easier on him, but even that was poorly done... It turned out to look like a little girl painted my nails. I will show in more detail in the photos as to what I'm referring to (note: this is 3 weeks later). Good thing is that none of the nails are lifting and I appreciate that he tried. But sadly, this revisit wasn't enough for me to want to continue giving my business here. Maybe I'll come back when Mikayla comes back. Until then, thank you all for your service.

Current set 4 1/2 weeks in no lifting Or chipping

Love this place. Ive gotten my nails filled by Don for a couple years now. Im super picky with shape and thickness of the nail and he gets it! Place is clean everyone is super nice. I recommend!!!

Let me preface this review by saying that I have been a loyal customer here for over a year and have consistently gone to Dai. Today, I scheduled an appointment for an acrylic removal and a dip powder manicure, and a different lady did my nails. She removed my acrylics and began what turned out to be the worst experience I have EVER had at a nail salon--and I've been to many. I'm not sure if this was her first time doing a dip manicure, but she kept ruining the coats while they were still wet. This happened on several different nails, even after I voiced my concern about the dip peeling off as she filed them. Dai came over and assured me that all my concerns would be fixed (the peeling dip and how chunky the nails had become from repeating the dip process). While I continued expressing my concerns, the lady said she was going to remove everything and redo the ENTIRE manicure. At this point, I had already been there for close to TWO HOURS. As a loyal customer of Nailtastic for over a year, you'd think they would make things right. Since I was tired of micromanaging my manicure and had been there for so long, I asked if they could either do it for free to compensate my wasted time or I would just leave. After consulting Dai, she told me they would not do it for free, so I left--without a single apology from her or Dai, who I have been seeing regularly for a year. I walked out, and no one said a word to me. This lady did not apologize once. It's absolutely ridiculous that they thought I would waste more of my time AND pay after this. I am extremely disappointed with my awful experience today.

This place is amazing, I will always recommend getting a full set with Don , he's the definition of copy and paste nail tech!!!!

I did my nails and feet, good service. Just make sure that they understand what you want. I got the deluxe pedicure when I just wanted a regular but I didn't mind to pay the difference. They were nice and professional

My niece & sister go here & their nails always look good. They go to Don & based on the reviews maybe that's who I should've asked for because whoever did me & my daughter's nails did a terrible job. I had a terrible experience at White Daisy Nail so I had them soak that set off so I can start new & really see their work. I have a simple acrylic overlay & by day 3 there was a chip in the corner of one nail but I thought nothing of it. Cut to roughly 10 days later & nails are chipped, cracked, & broken!! My daughter's nails started lifting & breaking writhing the week, as of 3 days ago she just took them all off as 3 had popped clean off. I personally will NEVER come here again, if you do decide to patronize this establishment then I guess y'all should ask for Don or Dai you want your nails done right.

They responded quickly and were very accommodating. The part that blew me away was the removal itself. She was able to strip the gel off WITHOUT thinning out the actual nail. I didn't know that was possible... I left with my nails smooth and without a dip where the drill sometimes cuts into the nail. 10/10 will be going back!

The online booking process was easy, and I was able to find an appointment about four or five days out. After living in Marin County for more than 17 years and recently moving back to San Francisco, I'm happy to have a salon just 6-8 minutes from home instead of driving to San Rafael for my usual pedicure! Mina Spa is a cozy neighborhood nail salon with a straightforward, city-salon feel. When I arrived for my 9:30 appointment, there were already three or four customers inside. I was immediately asked which service I wanted, directed to choose a color, and seated, although no one checked whether I had an appointment. Since it's a busy spot with plenty of walk-ins, expect a casual atmosphere rather than a luxury spa experience. Lien was quick, gentle, and clearly experienced. I especially appreciated how carefully she cleaned up my cuticles! The salon had a nice selection of colors, and although my first choice was unavailable, Lien found a similar peachy, pearly shade that turned out beautifully. The wax treatment and booties at the end also left my feet feeling incredibly soft. My main hesitation is the value. The pedicure came to $98 before tip, and at that price, I expected a longer hot stone massage and a more indulgent experience overall. I was happy with the final result, but the service didn't quite feel worth $98 to me. I tipped Lien $20 because I enjoyed talking with her, appreciated her service, and wanted to show my gratitude. I found metered parking near Canyon Market, just a short walk across the street, which added another $3-4. Overall, I'd rate my visit a 7/10. I would return to see Lien because I liked her work and the location is so convenient, but next time I'd probably choose a simpler pedicure.

Unfortunately for the second time it was during the gua sha (haha) so I don't remember most of that part. My face was glowing both times. I like how they include tip in the price. I knocked off a star because they charge a $10 credit card fee but the cost is too high to be carrying cash for it. I wanted…read moreto grow my natural nails out and tried many different styles of manicure (dip, gel, etc) in hopes of doing so. Eventually, I stopped going for a few reasons. the first reason is quality of service. i understand this is a family business but there is a certain level of consideration i'd expect to receive as a repeat customer. pedicures are done by one technician and manicures by another. after realizing the quality difference between the two technicians i requested to only be seen fit my pedis by the typical manicurist. this was met with some pushback after having to return to the salon to redo subpar work. the second, every time i came in for the same service i was met with a different price. i value entrepreneurship, but when clients are consistent the nuances become apparent. i attribute it to my preferred style being short and natural, which inherently is inexpensive compared to the intricate designs and styles this technician is known for. therefore to make her time worth more, i was overcharged for basic services. this left a bad taste in my mouth third, scheduling and communication. i would reach out to the tech to inquire on her availability and would not get responses to messages nor phone calls. of course this was not always the case but there wasn't a consistent way to get in contact to book appointments. lastly, my natural nails did not stay healthy nor gain length. They often time would break or chip, which is uncommon for such short nails. initially i thought my nails were the problem, but after going to a new technician, i have had long healthy nails for over a year. the interior is pretty standard and parking is decent if you go into the residential area. music plays sometimes but you can get work done. overall i would not return now that i see when quality service looks like. i have nothing against the technicians, who offer kindness and great conversation, but overall not the place for me.

However, my last visit left me a little disappointed because while it was extremely relaxing and the service was great, I'm not so happy with how my actual nails turned out :-( I did the Volcano Spa service for both my pedicure and manicure which were absolutely lovely, along with gel remove and gel on both my fingers and toes. The 10 minutes of massage for both were so nice, especially the shoulders and upper back that came with the manicure. But during the gel remove, the gel on my fingers was removed with the drill. It was the same on my toes but I don't have an issue there. Normally I wouldn't mind, but my natural fingernails were drilled down so thin that even though I cut my nails short, they're ripping at the ends with normal daily wear and tear. I went on Saturday morning and I've had two nails rip at the ends already and it is only Tuesday morning. I'm not sure if it was because I came in with long nails already (imagine asking for a medium-long set) and they may have been mistaken for gel-x or something of the sort, but it was just my natural nails with gel on top. I can even feel on all of my fingernails just how thin they were drilled down because suddenly all my nails are very flimsy, even with several gel coats on top. The rest of the service and experience were great, so it's a bit disappointing to feel like I regret how much I paid because of how weak my fingernails became after this appointment. Regardless I would still return in the future if I want the pampering experience, but if I can do without the massage and just need my nails done I may choose another salon instead. Just something to note if you're someone who is worried about your nail strength. UPDATE 8/4 9:48PM: Another nail ripped pretty far down just from scratching my head :-(
