Middle finger cuticle still red and swollen a day later.

Edited to add photos. My cuticles on two fingers are still very painful red and swollen almost a day later. If you want a relaxing mani/pedi, this is not your salon. I have very natural long beautiful nails. For years when I lived in a diff state, I got Gel manicures at a salon there. The techs would soak off with cotton balls dipped in acetone, which they covered with foil. After it sat for a while, they would gently remove the polish that lifted with a cuticle pusher. They would soak again what didn't lift off, and then gently remove the rest. I never had damaged nails while they used this process. They never scratched or scraped into my nail bed. I did this for 3 years. Today was my followup visit to this salon after getting Gel last Visit. Vu tried to use a drill to remove the polish. I kindly asked him not to use the drill, to soak them please, that I do not want damaged nails. Several times through the visit I asked him to not destroy my nails to which he said I know I know and proceeded to file and scrape into my nail bed with anything he could get his hands on except the drill. At one point he used his own nails to aggressively RAKE the polish off mine. He said to me this must be your first time, after I asked him to soak. When he was done, it looked like he just removed acrylics. If I wanted damaged nails, I would have gotten them! This is not okay! It even says it on their nail color selection thing they handed me "soak off gel nails". During the pedicure massage, he did weird painful things to my legs and feet which made me pull away and I told him, too much. During the manicure he was distracted, digging the cuticle scraper across my skin instead of onto my nail. I told him several times. Ouch. Too much. He cut the sides of my nails for whatever reason I don't know. My nails are already beautifully shaped and I have never had anyone slim the sides of them. He was grabbing hang nails with the clippers and ripping them up, so I told him too much that hurts. Twice when he was cutting at the sides of my nails, he had part of my flesh in the clippers so I told him, that's my finger don't cut it. It's now been an hour since getting my manicure and my cuticles and sides of my nail beds are still throbbing in pain. Three weeks ago when I visited, the man and woman who did my mani/pedi were SO much better. I only wish I had their names so I could praise them for their work which I was so happy with. I've been here a lot before in the past. Throughout 2018-2019 I came here for a mani/pedi with regular polish often. I have seen Vu before for a pedi and he was not this rough with me. But I do recall being unhappy with his polish work. Today I am unhappy again with his polish. The polish is white. There is something black stuck in the polish on one nail, bubbles in almost all nails, polish on my cuticles, polish not all the way to some cuticles, polish not completely finished on some nails, and areas where the white is lightly transparent. There is a nail salon on every corner it seems, you would think a business would try harder to respect its customers and maintain their business.

Got my nails done here for the 5th time, I never expect perfection, and they always do a decent job! I didn't call ahead of time and just walked in, fortunately there wasn't a wait time and they finished my nails within 50 minutes. Overall good experience and do recommend this place if you're looking for a basic and simple pedicure or manicure.

I went to nail world for a manicure, and after the manicure was finished, my fingers started to itch and burn. The burning stopped with after a day then within a couple weeks they started to burn and itch again. When I went back the second time to have her remove the nail polish, I told her not to use any acetone just in case I had a reaction to it we did the nails again, and within three weeks I noticed that my fingers were starting to split, and I went to the dermatologist, he told me that I had a staff infection and put me on medication and get the polish off my nails and this is what was underneath my nails when then polish was removed not just one finger it's all 10 fingers. It is my understanding from my dermatologist that this is a infection that has gotten under my nails from faulty cleaning of instruments. I give this store a -5.

First time at this salon. I went because of the pictures posted on yelp. It exceeded my expectations! The staff was so nice, and talented. I went when they opened at 10 am, they already had a full salon. Even though there were a lot of clients the wait time was not long and the quality was amazing. I definitely want to go back.

Update: went back in this morning because all of my nails started lifting. One of the guys fixed it all and apologized for me having to come back in. He was very professional and nice. I didn't give a full 5 stars the second time around because there never should have been a second time. Will probably come back as long as he's the only one that does my nails. I have been here several times and it has always been great. Came today and got the worst fill ever. The girl that did the fill had no clue what she was doing. She didn't even want to file them down where they were lifting. I had tell her to do it. There are humps and air pockets across all of my nails. I brought it to her attention several times and she ignored me. Another guy painted them and didn't seem to care either. I let him know while I was paying that it was a crappy job and I was very unhappy. He still charged me full price with no apology or anything. It seems like anymore when you just go in there for a basic service, they do a crappy job. If you want all the fancy artwork and extra stuff they take their time and treat you wonderful. I will not go back again.

I went to get my acrylics removed and the man who helped me literally started yanking my acrylics off. I went in thinking he was going to soak them off because that is what they usually do. My nails are now damaged and when I told him it hurt me he continued to yank them anyway. 0/10 would not recommend getting your nails removed here.

Amazing that I was able to walk right in and get into a seat for a pedicure. Both my husband and I needed a little relaxation and our toes did, and they were super accommodating, he got a Dr. Pepper and I got a bottle of water complementary! Woo woo, def recommend this place!

I was so skeptical about coming here because of the reviews but it was the only place I could find that had an opening but they did a great job! And my mother in law loved her pedicure! Everyone was pretty friendly too. I would go back!

Around two weeks ago my friend and I decided we wanted a girls day together. So we decided to go get our nails done. We noticed a huge sign out in the front displaying their cheap prices. It is true they have great prices...but there is a reason they are so cheap. They were fast and sloppy. I ended up paying more than promised for services they didn't explain clearly. The design on my nails was already chipping along with the false nail itself. But the service isn't the worse part of it. The workers were rude and confusing. I'm new to the area and was hesitant about the nail places in Hanford since none of them had stellar reviews so I took a chance with Nails World and I was nothing short of impressed! My full took about 40 minutes, which is the perfect amount of time to me, and my nails look awesome! An Cong did my nails and was super fast and efficient. I will definitely be going back every couple of weeks for my fills! :) read more

I'm really sad to be saying I will not be returning - I have continued to try visiting multiple times after my really positive experience the first time, but it has only gone downhill. Everyone who works there is extremely nice, but sometimes when people want artwork it's a big hit or miss. I've watched people as i've gone there request designs and most of them turn out.... disappointing. If you go during their busiest hours, they will rush through to get as many people seen as possible - which unfortunately can have an impact on your nails. My nails have had a problem every week since my first good initial experience, problems like; uneven length, crooked, paint chipping, nail lift.. it's an extreme bummer! I recently was there and asked for a cheetah design, i'll post the picture of a side-by-side comparison of what I asked for & what I got, lol. She also added sparkles on top of the pink with the same brush she used to do the "cheetah" which left black streaks on my pink nails (you'll see in the picture). If you're going to visit here, try to come early on a weekday when they aren't as busy - good people, just half-assed work. read more

Just moved to the area and decided to try this place out for a gel pedicure. It was very clean and all of the employees were very nice! I have mixed feelings about this place. I like my nails to be short and natural. The guy who did my nails seemed disappointed that I wanted something so basic and presided to show me his "elaborate designs". The designs were not my style. He did my nails and they looked good but afterwards the more I look at them the more I realize they really weren't well done. They aren't even, not all of my cuticles were cut, and he never cleaned the back of my nails. Maybe the nail technicians could focus more on what makes a good manicure before they jump into their elaborate designs. read more

They massaged one arm for the manicure. For the deluxe pedicure they did barely anything... waste of money i should of just got the basic one thats $10 cheaper. After they painted my nails they left me with the toe separators in and i had to get it off and put my sandals on with wet finger nail polish. Worst place to get nails done!!! Had me waiting for my nails to get dried for more than 30 min and the man doing my nails walked out of the nail salon no one would come out the back room to see if I was fine and to top it off the nails looked like my 5 year old had painted them or no excuse me my daughter would of done a better job never again going there if I would be able to I would of not even given it 1 star it is the worst place ever no wonder there is no costumers going in I don't recommend it to anyone save your money and don't go to nails world!!!!!!!! read more

Very disappointed, wanted it to be great it wasn't. My pedicure was okay nothing special my gel nails we're pealing off in 3 days so I went back at to see if they could fix them got there at 10:00 am (opening time posted on door) and sat and waited for 15 min and finally left because no one showed. I was over charged for the nails tried charging me for a full deluxe manicure when the guy only painted my nails at the pedicure chair and then I didn't get the 15% discount for the pedicure. The girl working could barely understanding me or speak clearly enough so I couldn't understand her. Then when my visa bill came showed up she tacked on a 10.00 tip that she already had in the miss rung up original bill. I will never go back. read more

I've been a loyal customer to nails world for years. I've tried going to different places and always found myself going back. The employees are so welcoming, so very nice and generous. I've never had any bad experiences going there. I've always gone in there with no idea what to do and they've always been creative and come up with different ideas each time I've gone. I work in a clothing store where my hands are the very first thing my customers notice and I've always gotten compliments every single time. A few of my co workers have now started going and they have no complaints at all. Overall, my experiences have been absolutely amazing. I do not have any negative comments to say. read more

Very happy with this nail place, just got my pedi done the lady was very nice and did a very good massage, thought I would never get my feet done but I had to change my mind. My girlfriend got her nails done here and I absolutely love her nails, they have a lot of cool designs and some polishes called chorme, those are really cool. My girlfriend even got her eyebrows waxed what an amazing job another applause for the lady, my girlfriend's eyebrows looked way better. Definitely come back to this nail place and would recommend everyone come here. read more

Went in for a mani-pedi today despite the previous reviews and I am so glad that I did. I found out that they are under new ownership, were offering discounts and totally impressed me! I got a great deluxe pedicure with a hot stone and oil massage and a gel manicure. The staff were friendly, polite and engaged in conversation. They did all they could to make it an exceptional visit. I will certainly be coming back in soon! read more

Received top notch services from a sweet lady, LINA. She was very gentle with my nails and wasn't so tough. I usually get nervous when they start using the nail grinder (I've been cut too many times by other salons). But she made sure I was comfortable and had nothing to worry about. If I wasn't from out of state she'd be my go to nail tech. read more

To be honest, I was kind of worried about how they would leave my nails, but they did everything I asked them to do! They were quite precise & kept on asking me if I liked what they were doing & etc. they even give you free drinks! I really liked this place and I will come back for sure! (And best part is that they're cheap!) read more

The shop is under new owner. Everything is brand new, super clean, looking beautiful. This shop will be the cleanest shop you've ever seen. Workers are very friendly and wouldn't let you leave with unhappiness. Give it a shot and you will be very happy with your smart decision. read more
