First time client, and they did fit me in for a walk-in, which was very nice. This is more of a head's up if you just want a plain manicure. I wanted a plain manicure because I work in health care and don't use gels or artificial nails. The lady who did my nails made kind of an issue that I wasn't getting a gel and basically made snarky comments that a plain manicure was wasting her time and that I would have to wait there for it to dry as they didn't have drying lights or fans. I have never had a nail tech comment on how they didn't want to waste their time on a plain manicure. She did a good job, but was rough handling my fingers. I noped on out of there without waiting too long for them to dry. I did tip $10 but I will never go back there again, which with the attitude there is probably no loss to them. read more

Some years ago I was a regular customer at one of Tony & Tiffany's salons in Wexford. When they needed to move out of the area to care for their family, I lost track of them. Yesterday my daughter and I happened to visit Nails Time and I was so pleasantly surprised to find that they were back and the owners of this salon. Today was the first time I have been to Nails time! I had a rough week at work and just wanted a nice relaxing pedicure with a clean atmosphere and friendly people. I have been in this area for 3 years and have not found a salon that I have stuck with because I just have not found one that has consistently made me feel welcome. This salon is perfection. It is clean, inviting, open later than most, extremely sweet family, and they did wonderful job on my shellac manicure & the pedicure was extremely relaxing! Came here for the first time yesterday and couldn't be happier! Everyone there was so friendly and welcoming, they all joked and laughed the entire time and made you feel included. I have gotten a lot of pedi's over the years and this was BY FAR the best I ever had. My feet look brand new!! I also opted for the SNS powder nails. A little pricey but they look absolutely gorgeous and the amount of work it takes to do them is on par for the price. They stayed almost an hour after closing time to finish me up and didn't rush through just to get me out of the door. The quality of their work is superior! read more

I went to Nails time because it was close to my house. My nails we're beautiful, and I always had a gel French manicure. My nails always lasted four weeks. My nails done here lasted one week. I went in and he removed the gel, and ground my nails down so low that I could hardly touch anything. He then told me I'd very thin nail beds. I have never been told that in my life. In fact, I was told the opposite. The only reason I changed was because the person that had done my nails for 20 years moved further away . Of course my nail beds were thin after he ground them down so low that they were burning. I was extremely disappointed, and I have to wait months before my fingernails grow back and I can go somewhere else to have my nails done. read more

I absolutely love this place. I went in yesterday for my first time ever getting acrylics. I have very short nails, as I am a dreaded nail biter. I went in around 5pm and they only had a 15 minute wait. All of the employees are so nice and welcoming, I was offered a drink while waiting, and taken back promptly. The man doing my nails was so gentle, and frequently asked me if my nails looked good. He wanted to make sure the length, style, everything was perfect. He took his time and was very detailed in what he was doing. I am in LOVE with this place! I will be returning from now on. Sat there for 20 minutes with my feet in cold water. When the technician went to turn the water on, the hose was not in the tub and water went all over my leather Michael kors shoes, including inside the shoe. Then technician that filled the tub wasn't paying attention and the water almost overfilled the tub. Then they took someone who came in after me first. Then the other nail technician messed around pushing chairs around and chit chatting without starting my pedicure. I won't be back and I'll make sure none of my coworkers are back either. read more

The salon is very clean and there are a lot of color selections. I had one person complete my pedicure and one person complete my gel manicure. The technicians skills are okay but there is room for improvement. On my manicure the light curing phase was not well done as I had to ask multiple times for the light to get turned on or turned on again for a second round. Additionally with the top clear coat, I could tell it was not fully or evenly applied across each nail when I got home and was looking at them out in the sun light. read more

Pedicure was good, manicure not so much! They tried several times to keep up selling me on services, which became annoying. The woman doing my manicure poured the remover or acetone or whatever they pour into the nail polish to make it not so thick after painting my toes... I wanted that same color on my fingernails. So then the polish looked like water (she obviously poured way too much) and it took 3 coats to get it to look similar to my toes, but still wasn't the same. 2 other nail techs came over, looking at the bottle and they were all talking in a different language .. I'm assuming about it. So I feel like they made a mistake and were just trying to cover it up. They forgot that my daughter wanted her nails done too, I had to remind them after an hour and ten minutes (even though she was already at a nail station sitting there). To sum it up.. the cost is on average $5-8 more per service than every other nail salon I've ever been to, and it the manicure was one of the worst ones I've ever gotten. My cuticles barely cut and nail polish is only down front of my nails, not the sides at all. read more

I highly recommend this place!! I went in because of the reviews I saw and I needed my nails done for my wedding. I went in, and Jason was very helpful and informative from the beginning! He gave me advice and made sure I got what I wanted. Even while he was doing my nails, he would show me and double check that it was what I wanted. After seeing so many good reviews, I decided I would come in for a full set of acrylic nails. I have been in before for a pedicure and felt it was worth my money. I was told it would be a fifteen minute wait. It was actually a 45 minute wait. I was asked three separate times if I wanted gel color. I did not. I usually like to switch my polish in between fills. I fell in love with a gel color while I was waiting and decided I'd try something different. The gel color took 3 coats and still didn't look good. I like to keep my nails short, needless to say they didn't end up short or even in length for that matter. My nails were all dramatically different lengths. Only one nail was the short length I wanted. I didn't notice how bad they were until I left the salon. I have huge chunks of acrylic under my nails and had to completely reshape them at home. Reshaping them left them super thick, so I had to file off the gel color I paid so much extra for. If you don't know, the only way to get gel polish off of acrylic is to file it off. I am a licensed nail technician in Pennsylvania. I could have done a better job myself and paid a fraction of the price. I paid $50 for a terrible looking set of acrylics. I wish I had taken a photo before I fixed them myself. read more

I walked in after reading excellent reviews and was not disappointed! I did not have to wait long and was seen by Jason. He was very personable and funny. I felt comfortable and welcomed. In fact, the owner asked his employees not to speak in Vietnamese and instead to speak more in English. While it didn't bother me that they were speaking in Vietnamese, I thought it was very considerate of the owner to request this. Further, Jason did exactly what I asked for and did not make me feel bad for being picky with my nails. Everyone was so friendly, the place was clean and they had a large selection of nail polish colours available. I am so glad I tried Nails Time. Pricing is reasonable and they're quick to get you in, though you're more likely to get in and out if you call and and make an appointment. I really wanted to love this salon, as I read all the previous reviews highlighting stellar service and impeccable nails. I scheduled an appointment a week before specifically requesting the owner and his son to do my gel fill and pedicure. I arrived a few minutes prior to my appointment and was the first & only client there for service when they opened. The owner came out and greeted me and told me to have a seat in the chair. Then an old couple arrived with no appointment and remarked that they were driving by and on a whim figured they would stop by and get pedicures. No big, except that the owner was the only one who arrived on time for opening. Other workers wandered in 15-25 minutes later and other various clients with no appointments came in. Some turned away and others taken. Needless to say who I requested did not do my nails, as he catered to the older couple who arrived with no appointment. Then he took another lady who arrived late to her appointment, which only means he double booked himself. Then his son arrived 30 minutes later and proceeded to seat himself in a massage chair and start talking with guests. Clearly taking a break when first arriving for your shift, is more important that taking your appointment. I continued with my pedicure with the woman who was assigned to me. This was the quickest pedicure I have received at a nail salon. She never asked me which option I wanted from the menu; simply did what she wanted. After I was done with my pedicure, she then took me over to have my fill done. My thought was, the owner would take over from there, as I requested again that my appointment was with him. Again passed over. This nail technician than decides to soak my nails off, after filing them too much. I asked for a fill?! Horrible communication at best. Needless to say, I am totally use to paying for quality, however the job she did was horrific. My gel manicure (not fill) is already peeling; 4 days later. My gel pedicure literally peeled off 3 days later. I went back to have one nail fixed after it peeled and then the next day two more peeled off? For a gel this is WAY too soon to have nails that look like you have had them done weeks ago. The price I paid and time wasted, for poor quality is atrocious. I'm sure the family is nice, but clearly nice doesn't quantify good workmanship. Looks like I will be driving a little bit further for a nail salon who actually takes appointments with the techs requested, respects those guests who took the time to make appointments and performs quality work. If you are accustomed to mediocre work at best, but like a "family" atmosphere then this is your spot! read more
