While they are pricier than others, their professionalism and expertise reflects that pricing accurately. Oleha was my technician and she was absolutely wonderful. The technicians keep it simple with music playing and two TVs with different shows on so there's no pressure to carry a conversation. After taking a minute to pick a color, I was seated within five minutes of my appointment. The service was estimated to take two hours and she filled every minute of it! I have never received such care as I did today. My feet are baby smooth. The e-file did not make my feet sensitive whatsoever for callus removal and that's a first for me! Oleha also paid very careful detail to my...let's just say...toenail issues haha. I didn't feel judged or rushed either and no side conversations were had. I found Honey who had availability at Sola Salon in Park Ridge and secured an appointment. What I truly like about her shop is that it's a solo place; meaning that only one customer at a time. I waiting outside for her previous client to be finished and she immediately greeted me and I had a seat. Her shop is extremely clean, bright and relaxing. Honey was engaging in conversation, which I enjoyed, and took her time to ensure that my manicure was perfect. She is very friendly and took the time to get to know me, a welcome change from the larger very busy salons. I already booked my pedicure for next week. THEN she said only if I get a manicure as well which I did not ask for. This was already baffling behavior and I am nervous and confused because I have gone to multiple nail shops that either do acrylic an gel or do one or the other but I understand and continued on with the service . Just trusting she understood when I explained what I wanted multiple times. when I thought she was done with the client next to me I thought she was gonna start on me next but out of no where she sent another employee that doesn't know what I asked. i had to explain AGAIN what I wanted now stuck in the chair. she asked if I wanted a file I said yes for all of them to be straight like I think that an obvious thing that every nail salon does I just wanted the gel or acrylic for the edges so it could be squared. I felt a bit awkward an during the whole process because there was another customer next to me while i was already feet in tub waiting and explaining to the employee that's working on the other customer what I wanted when she didn't even work on me nor communicate to the other employee what I wanted.
