My gel manicure.

My nails and nail polish always chip the day of or the day after my gel manicure. Their pedicures are way too basic and over priced. Don't bother coming here, go somewhere else.

Broke my nail, went back in, and they turned me away because they were "too busy". Very rude about it as well.

Short summary + update: got an infection (paronychia) after going here. Employees are nice but $50…read moreis step for a gel mani, especially one that comes with an infection! Just went to urgent care and they had to cut it (ouch), drain, and now I have to take antibiotics. 5 days ago, my friend and I went to get our nails done. We each got a gel mani. The employees were nice. While there were a little bit of imperfections on the nails between my friend and I, I still would have given 4 stars despite the gel mani being $50 (it's only $25 at my usual salon). The price is a bit steep, but I wasn't too mad because I understood that the world is a mess right now and salon prices have increased. However, for that price, I was not expecting to have my middle finger hurting so bad for just a gel mani. The side of my finger was red and hurt to touch. I thought it would go away, maybe they just cut a cuticle too much. Nope, now I have to find time to go to an urgent care cause I'm pretty sure an infection is starting. Never have I ever had a nail infection from a salon before. The nails are cute but not worth the $50 if I had none one of my fingers was going to hurt so bad from just lightly touching it. I work at a hospital, I have to use my hands a lot, wash them a lot, use hand sanitizer, etc. it's not gonna be fun using that finger now. Like I said, the employees are nice! I hate leaving bad reviews, but I'm really busy with college and work, and having to add a doctor's visit on my list of stuff to do is really frustrating.

Oh my goodness! Save your money and time: GO SOMEWHERE…read moreELSE!!! Rude, unprofessional, horrible service! I have always had gel pedicure and I normally go to Amazing Nail. However, I have been procrastinating a lot lately and completely forgot to book an appointment. I went to this place despite reading horrible review thinking everyone deserves a second chance. Perhaps I get lucky and receive excellent service. The lady seems nice welcoming me and I told her I would like to do gel pedicure. Immediately she set the price as $45 for gel pedicure while at Amazing Nail, I pay $35 for it. Or maybe even $30. Either $30 or $35, don't even pay attention anymore because I have been going there for a while. As I sat down on the chair, I notice she pulled in her nail filer/grinder without having my existing gel pedicure soaked for few minutes to soften them up. Immediately I was dead worried about it, because I own one of those devices and it can be painful to file those thick gel down and if she is careless, it could shave off my skin and nail (I have extremely sensitive thin skin and nail). Sure enough, as she started filing down, she hit my skin and my actual nail, the burning feeling made me squeak. I asked if she is going to soak them first. She looked at me like I'm from mars. I repeated my question and she looked silent. She went and talked to the guy (presumably the boss) in their language and that's when I realize this is not the place I want to have pedicure at. They tried finding something to soak them but you can tell his reaction of being defensive, unwilling and upset. I made a quick decision to just cancel because I know illness I'm freaking pain for the entire session. I voiced my concern that I have never had pedicure gel removed without soaking first, I may be wrong but all those time I have it done, they are soaked for few minutes and that speeds up with removal process and painless. He immediately told me this is their way of doing and maybe it's best for me to return to my usual place. He basically said this is his shop way and only way. Screw that. I would give -5 stars if that's available. Do not go here!!! It's the worst nail place I have ever experience since I lived in spokane for the past 16 years. I used to go to Jonathan Nail (prob my most fave one) but location is not reasonable anymore. I went to Foxy Nail few times but they are so big, they lose focus on individual customer attention. I also went to the one on Francis by JoAnne I like that one too but it's too far. So, it's not like this is my first rodeo on pedicure/manicure.

I was sad about my service the other day…read more I've been twice. First time was sooo excellent that I wanted to come back! I think if I ever come back, I only want to see the owner. I think that's who I had the first time. This time, there was really a lack of service. He was nice and all, but I wasn't asked what type of pedicure I wanted. I usually get with a basic pedicure, a scrub, hot towels, a massage, maybe lotion. This time I only get a scrub and some towels. I asked about a massage as well and said I would pay extra but I was sort of dismissed. I wonder if this is because it was close to closing. They closed at 5, but I called at 3:15 and was told to come at 4. I sat there for about half an hour before my service started. Not a bad experience, but in today's world everything is so expensive so i'd prefer to get my moneys worth.

Not very happy UPDATE: after a 20 minute phone call, (and the owner walking away mid call after talking over me the whole time blaming me for the nails) the receptionist finally said I can come in and get my refund. When I came in they continued to tell me that it was my fault my nails changed from white to yellow, then in the middle of getting my refund a lady come up, snatched my hand and started rubbing the nail polish off. To say I'm pissed is an understatement. There is a difference between letting me know that you will be taking the polish off with the refund (which would have been completely fine because these nails are disgusting looking) and just snatching my hand, touching me without permission OR without saying anything and rubbing it off. Extremely rude. Extremely unprofessional. And blaming the customer till the very end is just unbelievable.
