Stay away unless you want rings of fire in your nails. Kate completely drilled too far into my nail beds by the cuticles. I waited a week to post so you could see the damage. Kate informed initially the purpose of getting hard gel bd dip is to preserve the integrity of the nail as you don't have to remove every time. So I sent a text with photos to her and received a short response "it will grow out." So I asked for a refund for the service as 7 of the 10 nails are like this and tender. I received messages back that 'I need to do my own nails', 'don't take my negativity to another salon', 'my nails are too thin' (fist time ever hearing this and have been getting my nails done for years - plus she's the one that recommended the hard gel in the first place) & 'she had to drill into them so they don't lift' etc etc. also sent me messages that 'she's happy she's not going to do my nails anymore!' Geez! Triggered much. I apologized twice as it seemed like I offended her. She she continued to say unkind things. Such a shame as this wasn't a chip or a color dislike. Nail techs and other service providers work hard, yes and always treat them with respect, HOWEVER, she literally injured my nails & I made her aware. The response back was alarming. Honestly, pic says it all. Ouch is right! Will expect a nasty response to this review as in line with her original responses to me, but that's ok. Proceed with caution if you value nail health. UPDATE TO KATE'S RESPONSE: As expected & predicted in my review above, instead of admitting to or even apologizing for damaging my nails, she's provided inaccurate events and spoke down to me further by trying to discredit me. Look at her responses discrediting other complaints. It's a thing. My nail beds weren't damaged when I arrived. This photo shows a week of growth and the logic behind they were already damaged by someone else just doesn't add up. Also re: taking photos. Kate's going on maternity leave and will be gone for quite some time. She told me to take photos of the products so that I could fill with the same color somewhere else...or she said to try to fill myself and she'd fix when she got back. (This was clearly before I realized how damaged they are now.) Not 'sneaky' whatsoever. Re: respect. I contacted her first to kindly rectify. Then the alarming responses came so I asked for a refund. I have had Kate doing my nails now for about two years, and I drive to Sumerlin all the way from the NE for a very good reason. Kate not only has some of the most reasonable prices in Vegas, but she's also super talented at nail art! Pretty much any design you ask for, she is able to do it. Often times, she will even improve on it! I love coming to her, because she really listens to your input and will accommodate. For example, I have recently developed an allergy to some chemical in the products used to do my acrylic nails. I told Kate and she went ahead and ordered me something to help prevent my flare-ups. I have been going to this salon for over a year. Today I had my regular monthly appointment. Upon my arrival, Kate had just started a pedicure on someone else. After waiting for 5 minutes, she asked me to give her another 10 minutes (which always turns into 20 mins). I'm working full time and going to school full time, and when I make an appointment, and get there on time because I plan my day accordingly, I expect the same courtesy in return; otherwise, why make an appointment in the first place? I told Kate I couldn't wait and wanted to reschedule. She told me that if I canceled, she would charge me. I explained that I wasn't the one running late. She then took her phone and canceled my appointment. When I asked to reschedule, she didn't look at me and said nothing, and I left. An hour later, she texted me saying: "Dear Malaika, I no longer accept your services. I apologize for the inconvenience". Very poor management and customer service. Very disappointed. read more

We've gone here a few times and it's been fine for the most part. There is usually two nails techs and one is pretty good. The other my nail was crooked and they didn't last as long as my daughter's. The next time we made an appointment it was moved with our asking. And the nail tech texted my daughter a bunch of weird questions asking where she heard about them and all of that stuff before we would even gone in and then asking for a deposit paid through Venmo. Considering you can walk in to 8 million different nail salons here in town and get the same service. We'll go to somebody who doesn't harass you on texts. read more

I was in the market for a new nail salon and found this wonderful place. Upon walking in, there's lush green decor and many colors to choose from. I also thought the oil diffuser at the front was a nice touch so the typical chemical smell of nail products doesn't overwhelm your senses. My mom and I had an appointment and were seated right after choosing our colors. The entire staff is kind and easy to talk to. There was such a nice and comforting vibe, it felt easy to talk to the other patrons as well! The massage chairs have a lot of features and the foot spas were clean. The entire place was sparkling clean, which is important! The mani/pedis were very thorough. They were able to get an ingrown nail out for my mom, and we all know what a relief that feels like. We got the basic pedicure, but they do offer various packages in case you feel like treating yourself to something more luxurious. The polish application is a job well done, my mom and I feel happy with pretty hands and feet again. :) Anh and Mimi were our nail technicians. They are sweet, attentive, and caring. I was looking for a new tech because my former tech retired. I needed immediate service because I had 3 broken nails as I was overdue for a fill. I was referred to Kate because I typically get artwork with fills. Kate referred me to her sister for immediate service for broken nails, as Kate was booked out for two weeks, which I appreciated the accommodation. My first service included fill, thickening of acrylic, and repair of nails (I arrived w/ my broken tips glued on (Instead of the tech replacing nails, the cracks were filled w/ acrylic.... But anyway). At completion, nails were bulky and not the workmanship I'm used to but I was not discouraged, as I was looking forward to my upcoming appointment with Kate the following week. Fast forward to 2nd visit.... Kate got me in for my artwork. She did a great job achieving my design goals. 3rd visit..... Kate buffed and shaped my nails prior to artwork. In all fairness, she did an good job, working over the previous fill work from her associate. Kate buffed and shaped my nails to my expectations and followed up with a great design. Now here comes the bs.... Because it's too much like right for two stars, Correct??? 4th visit..... I am greeted per usual w/ pleasantries. I was confused about pricing and politely asked for clarity. Kate responded but definitely had a slight attitude w/ her response. So in my head, I'm saying damn, I can't ask a question about the services and money I have to pay you???....,but whatever, I'm resolution based and I got SOME clarity. Moving on.... Kate has reshaped my nails to my liking and is half way done painting nails.... I then politely ask, "Do you have another client after me?" Kate looks up at me like the exorcist and firmly and rudely responds with, "You know I have clients booked", "Someone else can do your nails the next time", " I do like the picture ", I'm like wtf, am I in the Twilight Zone???? I ask Kate, "What did I say to offend you?" Kate says, "I have the right to refuse service" I'm so taken aback that I am paralyzed. I'm literally so confused and Upon my questioning, Kate says, "It's nothing.... Just every time you come you want harder design, it's too much.... You come with bulky nails" ( the nails her associate did) In my mind, I'm like "WHAT????" All you had to say is I don't do that.... I even gave an alternate option.... And I asked about pricing to make sure what I asked for, I could afford. As an Owner of multiple businesses, PEOPLE skills are EVERYTHIIINNGG! Kate is a talented artist. I wish your business well, even though your behavior towards me was disgusting. Only by the grace of God, this situation didn't go in a different direction. The disrespect was deplorable.
