There's a nice waiting area and clean restrooms for customers. I bought a waxing service via Groupon and scheduled by texting Marcie. The service was really quick and easy. Simply asked to reschedule an appointment and this izzie individual continued to push for just cancelling my appointment all together instead of helping reschedule the appointment like I requested. Marcie is awesome! I had three common areas waxed, and the whole thing took about 35 minutes! Usually, this is how long one area takes, is all I'll say. She was a great conversationalist. You will feel like you've been going to her forever. She's also a great listener, which is a rare find lol. I'm really glad I picked up the groupon. I had no issues whatsoever when I presented it to her. Even when I go back for the full-priced wax, it will still be a major bargain. She is located in Sola salon, by Barnes and Noble. I'll never understand why business chose to use a service like Groupon, only to be snide, rude, try to rip off or just plain ignore the customers who purchase said Groupons. If you don't want people bringing in coupons, which is basically what Groupon is, then don't offer them. It's pretty dang simple. After reading the reviews on Groupon and on Yelp for Skin Alchemist, I decided to go ahead and purchase the Groupon for two waxing sessions. (There was an option to purchase 1, 2 or 3). This place had stellar reviews, so I was comfortable with the purchase and figured if the place was as great as everyone who had already been claimed, I'd probably become a repeat customer... That's typically how I use Groupons - to try new places and if I like them, I'll be back. After calling/leaving a message and then sending a text - which is what the woman on the voicemail tells you to do 'for a quicker response' I was never able to get ahold of anyone to make an appointment - and an appointment is required to use the Groupon. I'm guessing my mistake was admitting that I had a Groupon to redeem in the first place. Whatever the reason, after two attempts to make an appointment, I decided I'd take my business elsewhere and requested a refund on the Groupon. read more

I've gone to many places to get a Brazilian and we all know no matter how many times we get it done it still hurts a bit but Marcie is the one person I must say has made it the most painless as possible. She's quick and knows what she is doing! I was always nervous every time I got it done somewhere else but Marcie makes it so relaxing that I forget that I'm getting wax down there. I heard about Marcie from one of my friend's friend. It was my first time getting a Brazilian done and I had so many thoughts and concerns prior to my appointment. But once I met her, she made me feel so comfortable. She plays her music in the background and also talks to you to keep you distracted from the pain.
