If you're in a time crunch, maybe reconsider this place. They did provide us with alcoholic beverages and a bowl of snacks when we sat down so at least we had some munchies during our long wait. My friend's dipped solid color nails were $50. I requested short almond nails with nail art on six of my nails which brought the set up to $75. If it's your first time, you get an automatic 15% off. This salon was previously well run, however, after visiting for Mother's Day, we had an awful experience. We booked appointments for my mom, husband, and myself and it took over an hour for them to get started on our services. The salon is old and poorly kept. When it came to picking colors, none of the colors matched the books. I asked for a light nude/pink and picked one out in the book to match and it ended up being hot pink. I asked to change the color before getting started and consistently, the colors didn't match once painted on. My mom was also extremely unhappy with the colors we received. When asking for help to achieve the right shade, my nail tech told me "this is final I'm not changing it." We were in shock with the rude behavior and poor service. What was supposed to be a Mother's Day treat turned into a 3 hour nightmare due to lack of staff, poor service, and wrong colors. I spent almost $300 to be completely disappointed. Tools are properly sanitized, stations are spotless, and everything is done by the book, which gives me so much peace of mind. I've been coming here every two weeks for over 6 years. I loved the service and I appreciated that they had all the dip powder and nail polish organized into matching sets. Recently they came under new management and my last 3 visits have been one disappointment after another. On one visit, the tech charged me extra for the almond shape and they looked uneven and terrible. Within an hour of leaving most of them cracked right down the middle. They made them right a few days later so I can back again. Typically I get the refresh pedi and dip powder and it will run about $85 to $90. That's worth it for the paraffin wax and other extras. But this time I was in a rush so I just got the quick classic pedi. I chose my dip powder and polish but he said the polish was bad. My nails were already done so he used the l gel polish that came in the kit. He asked if I wanted my calluses removed so i said yes. My nails were already almond shaped but one needed a new tip. Well they upcharged me for the gel polish and it didn't even match , it was the wrong color !!! They upcharged me for the callus remover. They upcharged me shaping my nails into almonds even though they were already almond shaped. They upcharged me for long nails. They upcharged me for the extra tip. They upcharged me so much that my $80 services cost $115 before tip. For a classic pedi and a basic dip ? No thanks. Last time I go here. And that's a shame read more

It gets very hot and painful as she got closer to my nails. My fingers were sore 24 hrs later. So I checked out Nails Makeover. They use acetone to get most of the powder off. I have been going to this place for a couple of years now. They have been great with some very nice and fun staff. The service seem a bit inconsistent lately. I would highly recommend for pedicures, as a few people are very consistent and do an excellent job. Samantha and Anna are awesome at pedicures! I'm giving 3 stars due to lack of consistency and great nail techs. I have tried 4 people on my nails at this place, only one of them have done a good job! This last time was not a great experience. They were very rough, damaged my nail beds with glue, and hurt while doing my nails. Only to have one break in less than 2 weeks. Again, great place for pedicures but not for nails. The only negative thing I have to say at all is that I've been coming here for months and I feel like what I get charged is not very consistent. Besides pedicures. I completely understand different prices for designs, gel, etc, but charging money to take off your previous set when getting a full new set is something I've never seen. BUT... the person who did my powder dip on nails was rushing the process and I didn't like what she did. I asked for blush pink color with extensions and I got something else. I had to find a new nail salon after my nail lady of 4 years moved so I booked with nails makeover. I had my first experience here last week and loved it! I was greeted by Happy whom seated me promptly and asked if I would like any refreshments. Unbeknownst to me he was actually my nail technician and BLEW MY MIND with his knowledge of nails/dipping powder, attention to detail and sunny disposition. The salon was very well kept and maintained social distancing of its clients which I appreciated. Initially when he began working on my nails he thought "I looked familiar", despite only being able to see my eyes and skin tone and insisted in a light hearted way. I am very aware of this stereotype and was slightly turned off. However, as the conversation continued we laughed it off and discussed other things. Quan the owner noticed my nails one day and kindly suggested I try his business out just once ... "just give us a try" he kindly said. And so I did. The place is beautiful and the people who work there are lovely. They treat you like family. They serve you drinks too. His sister - who he partners with - Trang is also a peach. Oh! I first want to start off by saying this was not my first , second, or third time receiving service here and every other time I enjoyed my service. This particular time I had a women whom I don't remember the name of do a full set for me, my mom actually had her before and she told me that her customer service was terrible and she likes to be combative when you say you don't like something. But nonetheless I allowed her to do my set with an open mind. BIG MISTAKE. She started on my nails and throughout the entire time kept complaining that I was moving too much and not keeping my hand still. I promise y'all I was not moving and was very relaxed. She also continued to be rough with my hands and bend them every which way. (To be honest I believe she was treating me poorly bc of the beef she had with my mom) As a client I feel as though you should always adapt to them not make them bend their fingers or arms in an ugly not to mention uncomfortable positions. She also cut me multiple times (see pictures) and the shape of my nails were not to my liking which I stated and she continued to say that is what I asked for when in reality it was not. At this point I was just ready to go. Especially because she wasn't willing to fix it and she had a attitude. Personally if I'm receiving a service from you and you have a attitude with me I'm just going to tell you never mind pay for the service but just not tip. (I am also a black women and before the cops were called the manager and I quote said "they always do this, just call the cops" to the front desk lady ) *Read my mom's review for her side of this terrible service. Nails were uneven and croquet. the skin around nails were covered in material and cuticles were very unclean. They gave me run around with the design i wanted and i ended up paying $60 for a hack job. I went back shortly after to get someone to fix my nails and the customer service was good. I am BEYOND disappointed with my experience at Nails Makeover. I went in with a girlfriend earlier today and we both got pedicures. I chose the $50 pedicure option and the whole treatment was nice but my toe nails turned out looking worse than if I was to even do them myself. The guy who painted my toe nails was using a white polish that was so sticky and gooey and painted my whole right foot and tried to move to the next foot like it didn't look like a complete mess. I told him I wasn't okay with how it looked and asked if he could just use a different white polish that wasn't so old and gooey. So he grabbed another white polish and they still turned out looking terrible. In the pictures I added to this review, you can see all the ridges in the nail polish on my toes nails, like this dude didn't even know how to smooth it over and look nice. And they look even worse in person. I am beyond pissed honestly. Can't believe I paid so much for nails I'm just going to have to redo myself. read more
