I asked for a pedicure with gel polish. After putting on the polish, the tech told me put put on my shoes because I was done. I asked if she was going to use the light to dry the gel which is the process all places I've been to do. The tech told me that they no longer use the light to dry the polish. My husband, best friend and I went to Nails Lounge as a gift to her for her birthday. We spent $272 plus tip. We all got pedicures and then my friend and I go our nails done...while my poor husband patiently waited. Our service was great, the people were friendly and more than amazing all around. Great atmosphere. However, when we left I had chipped one of my nails (I got next gen and shellac on top) before the evening. The next day, I am now sitting with 4 chipped nails. My friends nails (she got shellac) were ALL completely gone the next day after she showered. We've been getting next gen and shellac and I've NEVER seen anything like this. I'm completely bummed to have spent that kind of money and she didn't even get to have her nails on her birthday. ): I got a hold of the salon and have yet to hear anything back. Management/receptionist aren't very friendly. Also if you watch the parking lot you will see that the employees are parked in most of the convenient parking spots. Love this place, came in today and was serviced by Tommy on pedi and Lee on nails. Tommy made sure I always had everything I needed to be comfortable the entire time and really did an amazing job on my detox pedi. Lee helped me with the dip-nail polish and explained the benefits between the dip-manicure vs. gel. Both are great, but the dip lasts 2weeks longer and also boosts with nutrients at the same time. Both employees were very genuine and so very amazing. Jobs well done (as always here) and I'll always come back. Thank you! Update: I left the manicure on for as long as it didn't chip, you know, for science. I felt I needed to tell the world that it NEVER chipped! It looked like a child did it-smudged, missing parts of my nail, paint on my cuticles, and lots of drips. She also made me do a super hot paraffin treatment to my hands that I outright said no thank you to ("it's just a couple dollars, come on) and then tried to tell me the coupon I had wasn't correct. $74 later (mani and pedi) I had the worst mani of my life, a ruined workout jacket from the paraffin (didn't wash out) and I will never be back. Just moved to the state of Texas and needed a fill I decided to give it a try, first off Him that I normally pay between 40 and $50 for a gel fill I should be around the same price for that I then asked how much the design would be he told me about three dollars more, fine I should be about $53 I'm OK with that. What I'm not OK with is the fact that I paid $63 for a fill which was after a 10% discount for being a first time customer. which means that my original price was $71 for a fill and I attached a picture to show how much my 71 dollar fill got me. I got a fill 4 days ago and 2 nails have broken since then. I highly recommend asking exactly how much you will be paying before they start your nails. And when I asked why my fill was 71 dollars the response I got was it was the design. I will not be wasting my money here again. read more

Not many places to go in this area without heading to San Antonio. I love the face that they provide reasonably priced services and have a day spa next door. No, I have not tried the additional services yet, but it is nice to have the option for a full spa day in one place. I'm a mani/pedi girl myself and appreciate the variety this salon has to offer. I can get a quicky if I just need a touch up or go for the full shabang, all at a reasonable price. I also appreciate the fact that the chairs and foot spas are well maintained and capable of providing a relaxing footsoak at a higher temperature. Nothing is worse than the water not being hot enough and your feet end up chilled half way through the experience. Worth the time and money if you are in the area and need a little pampering. Stopped by here to get a pedicure during my lunch break and HORRIBLE. The man that did my pedicure was very fast and rude. Made rude comments while doing my pedicure and had a bad attitude. The color that I picked was not at all the color that came out on my toes. I was quoted $30 and was charged $50. Although I can see how it would have increased because I picked shellac, this is just so different from my home salon that charges 35 and does a good pedicure with nice shellac colors! This pedicure consisted of minimal cuticle care, a little bit of lotion, a hot towel and was done in a few minutes. The guy that did my toes would clean mess up paint areas with his long finger nails which I think is so gross and unsanitary. Just overall expensive, rude, poor quality, will not be returning and wish I didn't even come here a first time! There's other nail places around the corner! They always try to Up sell but I always politely decline since I prefer to get all the extras on my nails. They always ask what u would like to drink.. I always ask for water or a soda even though they do offer wine and margaritas as well. I remember one time i was getting a basic pedi and I did ask for a margarita and the guy told me I couldn't have one because I had to spend over $50. He handed me the list of services and asked me to pick out another pedi if I wanted a margarita. I asked him if my pedi had to be over $50 to get a margarita and he said yes. I told him nevermind I didn't want anything to drink after all. He said okay and started on my pedi. As he was half way through the other man came in and began working on my nails.. (Keep in mind my nails are ALWAYS $60-65.. Not including the $5 tip). He said "oh.. You want margarita? I didn't know you were doing nails too! You can have a margarita then." I told him no thanks that's why I asked if my pedi specifically had to be over $50. I was truly butt hurt over it Bc I NEVER request any sort of alcoholic drink and that day I took my mom with me to treat her so I wanted us to relax a bit and he not only embarrassed me in front of my mom but in front of full room of people getting pedicures done. I never complained to the owners because I figured language might have been a barrier so he probably didn't understand me. Anyways... There was another time when I inquired about a matte top coat. They told me there would be another $5 charge for it on top of my regular charge if I ended up getting matte. I told the guy I was unsure of the matte but I had considered it. He said I could try it and if I didn't like it he would take it off. So I agreed. He did all my nails matte and I didn't end up liking it. He took it off and said "see? We fix if you no like" I smiled and agreed with him. Then when I checked out the lady charged me for the matte coat. I told her I didn't end up getting it. She said he still used it and charged me. The guy conveniently left that part out. Don't get me wrong.. I'm not a cheap person what so ever but I am always straight out and I feel I am always being lied to in my face. Last week I took my daughter w me to get a mani pedi done.. Which is $30 btw. The lady tried picking her color for her. I told my daughter to go pick her own color. Then when they were done they left pieces of her nail without polish. My husband caught the missing parts and mentioned it to me when I was done getting my nails done. I told the lady that charges and she seemed annoyed. My daughter is 6 yrs old and noticed the lady's reaction so she said "that's okay mom don't worry!" I told her "no it's not Bc I paid for something to be done correctly.. If I wanted your nails like this I would have done them myself." The lady turned and let me know that she had someone on their way to fix her nails. Overall, go here if you want a job well done but expect to pay the price for a job well done. read more

The best service Nail Lounge offers is the massage by Kelly. I am very picky about massages, and she is the absolute best deep tissue massage therapist I have experienced in this area. If you are tense, and need your sore muscles soothed, she is the therapist to see! I'm updating my review. I came here with my sister while visiting the city to have a nice girls night out. I decided to get a basic manicure because I wanted something simple to give my nails a break from dip powder, shellac, and acrylics. My experience here was anything but relaxing. The woman they asked to do my manicure clearly did not want to be working there anymore. She did not speak to me the entire time, except to say "you don't want shellac?", "okay, wash your hands", "square or round?" And "dry your hands here for 5 minutes". When I tried initiating conversation, she quickly shut it down, answering with as little as possible. "That's okay, conversation--while nice and welcoming--is not a necessary aspect of the manicure experience" I thought, and figured that maybe she would just really focus on my nails instead. BUT NOPE. Each time she would paint a coat, she would sigh, raise her eyebrows and shrug her shoulders downward, look around the room, and tap her fingers on the table, like she totally did not want to be there. She would not even wait a minute between coats to start applying a new coat. The total time she spent on my hands must have been ~10 minutes--which is an extremely short amount of time for 4 coats of polish. She guided me towards the nail drying table, told me to leave my hands there for 5 minutes, and the next thing I knew, she was out the door on her way home. When I finally got a chance to look at my nails, they were streaky from an uneven application of the polish and there was even a black fleck on one nail. Super upset that my nail technician had already left without checking up on me, I told my sister that I would NOT be getting a pedicure there. Her nail technician seemed concerned and spoke to management to ask them to fix my nails. When the manager/owner came up to me, I told him how quickly she had rushed through the nail painting process. His response? "Well you got the EZ manicure. There aren't too many steps to it. It shouldn't take long." And when they got another nail technician to fix the nails that were improperly painted, she implied that it was my fault the nails were messed up, saying that I should have waited longer under the drying table (even though I waited longer than the instructed 5 minutes). After my nails had been fixed, management never came back up to me to see that I was pleased with their service or if the problem had been fixed. I realized that throughout this entire time, they never offered me a water or beverage like they did for every single other customer. They didn't even ask for my phone number while I paid (as I had seen them do with every single customer that came up to the front counter) so that I could receive updates and rewards. My takeaway? (And management, please correct me if I'm wrong here. I'd love an explanation for your differential treatment of customers). Because I had paid for a smaller service, I didn't get the benefit of receiving good--or even mediocre--customer service. In fact, it even seemed like I was punished for not choosing to upgrade to shellac. Instead I was left with an amateur, streaky manicure that chipped by later that night. I much rather would have painted my own nails at home, where at least I know I could wait adequate time between polish coats and have a glass of water offered to me. That would have definitely saved me the time and the headache caused by this terrible experience. I will never come back here again. read more

I originally asked for a fill and shellac polish. After struggling to choose a color I thought I'd just get a pink fill with clear polish since I wanted something more natural. As soon as I asked my technician to skip the polish her entire attitude changed. She wanted to hurry and get me out of the chair. She asked me 3 times if I was sure I didn't want polish and each time I politely declined. I realize my bill just dropped quite a bit but why the guilt trip? $20 every 2 weeks is better than $0. My well behaved 5 year old sitting next to me was getting her nails painted was asked several times to "sit still, don't move, relax your hard, don't mess them up". She was just laughing because to her it tickled a bit. Instead of making her nail salon experience fun and about girl time, she was being scolded for being a kid. I politely told the technician that she was doing her best and if they get a little messed up, that's ok. When I went to pay at the counter the woman who checked us out checked my nails and asked why I didn't get color and asked to see my nails. REALLY? I didn't get color because I didn't want color. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the salon, the variety of choices and services and by my nail tech, I believe his name was Lam. He did an awesome job. My mother in law stated her nail tech seemed to be in a hurry for her shellac manicure, my sister in law was happy with what she had done as well. The prices are a bit higher so I'm glad we all were for the most part satisfied with the finished product. They also have tons of people working there so you most likely will be able to get in and out without a long wait most days. I LOVE my pedicures from Betty! She does such a great job! When I go in my feet resemble some ugly Neanderthal looking things and when I leave my feet can breathe, they're smooth and beautiful! She takes her time to make sure she gently yet effectively removes in grown nails. She gets the calluses off without torture. She makes me feel that I'm worth it. Very bad experience, first time at this place of business. The lady up front asked me what kind of service I was looking at. I told her that l want a regular ($28) pedicure. When I finally got my pedicurist she asked me again what kind of a pedicure I would like to have. I repeated myself again- regular pedicure. She started telling me that I should get one for $35 because for $28 I would get nothing, just like that. I said, no maybe next time and not this time. She seems very unhappy with choice. I could just tell by her face. I felt like from that moment she lost her, at all. She processed with very quick moves, skipped many steps that were actually included in my $28 service. When I asked her to give me that one step she skipped on I was told that I don't need it. Yes, the step was included in the price, but I was not getting it. I went to this place based on the reviews and proximity to home. Let me just start by saying this place should have zero stars. I went in for a pedicure with a friend and they started by trying to up sale us a $75 pedi which I said sure too cause there wasn't another option given. My friend on the other hand said no she wanted something more reasonable. They had a middle priced option which was $35 and the guy said oh no you don't want that it's fast and it's only $35 my friend sucked it up and said yes that is what I want. Well her and I finished at the same time only difference was hers looked great and I had nail polish EVERYWHERE and he wasn't even going to fix it I asked twice for him to fix which instead of using nail polish remover he used nail clippers taking my skin with it. Upon checking out there was a worker there yelling at a customer because she didn't hear the question she was asked.
