This place was HORRIBLE!! The lady who did my nails had an attitude with me because I didnt want gel polish. After that it seemed like she didnt care. Cut my cuticles to the point of bleeding when she was filing them down. None of them are the same length or shape. I was just so over it and uncomfortable here. Terrible paint job. Needless to say when I get paid Friday I will be going to a DIFFERENT salon to have them fixed. read more

This review is for their new/current location on Bagley Rd. I wanted to like them, purely because of their convenient location and the fact that the gentleman I had (I'm guessing the owner) was very nice, and the space was clean and well maintained. However, I'm just not happy with my nails. I'm happy with the pedicure I received but the gel manicure is not what I would have expected. I had them done this past Tuesday (5 days ago) and by Thursday alone, the white on my left index finger had completely peeled off. By Saturday, the same thing happened to my right middle finger. My right index finger has already started to bubble and peel and my right thumb looks sloppy/poorly applied. Gel is supposed to last 2 weeks, at least, this didn't last a week. I came here to get a mani/pedi on a Hot and Busy Saturday. The owner informed me they were so busy that I should make an appointment for later that day and she'd cut me a deal. I went back and got excellent attention. The woman who provided my mani/pedi was great. She took such time and care with my feet they were in heaven. I felt that the mani was a little rushed, but I was the last guest and I'm sure she wanted to be on her way home. So far the service is holding up well and I'm sure to go back again in the future. The salon is clean. They have newer massaging chairs and a plethora of current trashy magazines to get your pop culture up to speed with. There are also two big fancy TVs on the walls and the news was on while I was there. They offer specials M and W during the week for less expensive services. Maybe that is the time to go & get a deal and perhaps they'd be less pressed for time. Otherwise, I suggest an appointment and tip your person well! :) read more

I would not recommend this place..... - Horrible pedicure experience: The nail technician doing my pedicure kept cutting my toe nails even after I told him they were too short and that he was hurting me. I said "ouch" 3 times during my appointment!! Another person had to take over for the first person because he was doing so poorly. The second person painted my toes, and also did a poor job. - Terrible "dip" nails experience: My mom asked for her nails to be dipped. They did so....and then put gel on top?! Went into this place with an open mind. Kim kept telling me my previous nails were done poorly and "too thick" but they were not. I wanted dip and thankfully they had the color red, but the only color options were red, mauve, pink and blue. While kim was doing my nails, she kept yelling at me to relax my fingers, as I was, but continued to say it. Theres only so much relaxing you can do while holding your arm out straight. After she finished, there was dip powder everywhere on my hands and my previous dip was also everywhere from soaking it off. She told me to wash my hands multiple times throughout the day and it would "come off". Didnt offer to clean it up. The dip did not go all the way to my cuticles, making it look like a weeks growth already. The sides of my nails were filed after the color and she took the color off. Lastly, the nails came out horrible. They were patchy, you could see my nails through the red. She kept asking me if I was okay because she knew I was not happy. Most importantly, the dip, not gel, started lifting after 2 days. That should NOT happen. I understand the low ratings and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I would give this negative stars if I could. The woman put my nails on carelessly and in under 45 minutes. Did not ask me to wash my hands before filing, did not size check the tips, applied my right ring finger wrong and it WILL get infected because there is a space between the acrylic and the natural nail. A space for water and bacteria to get stuck and manifest and cause NASTY infections. I told the "tech" three times that it was applied incorrectly and three times she told me I was wrong and that she wouldn't fix it. And that's without even going into how they were shaped (which is even worse) I know how applying acrylic nails is supposed to go, and that was not it. I called and asked for them to take them off and redo them or for a refund. They refused to do either and my nails still look horrendous. Will NEVER go back. Would not recommend going either. read more

Bright side: my nails look great! Inexpensive shellac (think I spelled it right...) and love the color. Down side: they tried to scam us. They attempted to charge my aunt twice but thankfully she was smart enough to see through it. The lady was rude handling the situation, and she was rude doing my nails. My cousin and mom, however, had wonderful technicians who were very nice and hospitable. The woman who I think owns it was rude and ruined the experience. Overall, next time we will find another nail salon. Definitely pass on this salon. read more

Decided to try the new dip powder, to start off the use a gel light and with the dip powder no light is supposed to be used, the gentleman who did my nails did an AWFUL job painting them, didn't even get my whole nail bed. I got my nails done on a Friday and by Wednesday all of them had chipped or came all the way off, I went in to try and get a refund because there was absolutely no way I was getting them redone here. They don't me that they don't do refunds, that it was my fault and that they couldn't guarantee how long it was supposed to last because it was my natural nail. Never again would I go there, I wouldn't even give it one star. read more

I work in the Berea area and have seen this place many times while out and about. Since my nails were in awful shape and I had an hour to kill on my lunch break, I decided to go get a shellac. I googled this place first, and saw that through a third-party site (Centzy.com), you could create an appointment online. I set mine for 1, and got 2 confirmation text messages that I would have my appt. I walked in at about 1:05 to a completely empty salon with the exception of a woman, and what looked to be her young daughter and 2 teenage sons. They yelled over to me, "What you need?" and I mentioned that I had made an appt. online for 1, and that I was here for a shellac. They all looked at me like I was completely stupid, and said, "we don't have a website, you can't make appts. online." As I told them I was aware it wasn't on their non-existent website, but through Centzy that they apparently signed up for and didn't remember, I proceeded to show them the text messages I got. All the woman did was roll her eyes and say, "okay, go over to that chair." I sat down and at this time, another person had entered the salon, who I assume was a regular because they were a bit more friendly and the woman who was running the shop, took her to a station right away. I, on the other hand, sat at my station for a few minutes before one of her teenage sons came up to me and sat down. I am no snob, but I know very well this kid was not a professional, and hadn't been doing this for long. He took care of trimming my nails and filing them, oh yeah, and also reinterating that I was basically stupid because you can't make appts. online. I just said okay and went with it. While this was happening, I was forced into watching nickelodeon, which assuming the little girl (who I previously mentioned) was probably enjoying, I was hoping for a more mature show. The little girl, however, was charming in the sense that she brought me and the only other guest in the salon water bottles. After the sub-par job on the trimming and shaping of my nails (cuticles still very visible, hangnails and skin surrounding nails still visible), I was told to go wash my hands. There were no clean brushes in the hand-washing area, just a bucket of dirty ones. I shrugged it off and just washed up the old fashioned way. During the first part of my manicure, I had been given the easel of available colors. NOT a very large or good selection at all. By the time I was told to sit at the second station, I had finally worked out the color I would wear. The woman running the place came back to me, and began painting my nails... I'm sorry, but it was awful. She didn't bother cleaning up where she had mis-painted so i had polish all over my fingers, my cuticles were so screwed up from her son that it looked like I had had this manicure done a week ago the day I got it, and she just did an overall bad job on the painting. She rushed the entire thing, then just told me "okay now you wait till dry" and walked back to her regular customer. It has been a week today since I've gotten this manicure, and I have been angry every time I look at my nails. 3 of my nails underneath have broken (which to prevent this is the reason I get shellac in the first place), the manicure itself it cracked everywhere, and coming off at the base of my nails after just a week! I am going to my normal salon after work today, and will NOT make the mistake of getting my nails done for lunch again. It ended up coming to 32 dollars, and I still, (because overall the children were nice), left a 20% tip. Not satisfied whatsoever. read more

Me and my mom had the worst experience with them. I got my nails done three days ago and one popped off a day after and then today another one falls off and I start getting an infection in my finger and the boy cut my thumb so then the lady started doing them . My skin was bleeding around the nail and all she said was sorry. Then me and my mother went up there today and the lady starts pushing on the infection even after I said how saying to my mom " don't listen to your daughter she's picky" and says that she had nothing to do with my nails acting like that. Me and my mom didn't want a refund we just wanted my nails to be fixed and the lady was yelling and me and putting her hand in my face and when my mom said that she was upset with the service the lady responds with "okay , good." I've had my nails done many times. Never have I had them just pop off. No break. Just pop off. Not one nail four! The place is dirty. The owner was on the phone feet on the chair and picking her nose. My 10 year old and I will never go back. The young lady that painted my daughters nails did a great job. Unfriendly atmosphere and terrible service. Probably won't be going here again. Took my friend here to get manicures for her birthday and we told them we wanted french gel manicures and they were so confused by this for some reason it took like 10 minutes to communicate what we wanted. I also mentioned I wanted to get my eyebrows done. There was no one else in the entire salon except my friend and I and they had us sit at the opposite ends of the room so we pretty much sat in silence for the entire time while the nail technicians spoke to each other in their native language. While getting my nails done, my lady decides to take a personal phone call and talks for the rest of the time until I check out so she forgot about my eyebrow wax and didn't give me a chance to ask about it before ringing me out. As I was signing the receipt, she stared me down from over the counter to see what I would be tipping her. Overall, a very rude and awkward experience. Our french manicures turned out alright though, so at least they did a good job with that. read more

Tonight I saw the worst customer service from an owner of a company that I have ever seen. Mckenzie got her nails done at Nails 4 U three days ago. In those three days, 2 of her nails popped off and the rest started peeling off at the bottom. When we went up there, the owner of the company kept putting her hand up in Kenzie's face and said "I am talking to your mom." Although Mckenzie is the one who paid for her nails with the money that she earned from working at her job. This woman kept insulting Mckenzie, saying that she is just too picky. She has had her nails done at many other places before and this has never happened. Mckenzie has an infection on her finger from where the nail tech cut her. The owner of the company kept poking her finger where it is infected, saying that it was her fault. She kept blaming her, telling me that she picked her nails off. I'm no expert, but acrylic nails aren't supposed to pop off like a pair of press-ons. I was so polite to her and we didn't even ask for a refund. All we wanted was for her to fix the nails. In all my years, I have NEVER been talked to like the way I was tonight. She was the rudest person in a business that I have ever met. I couldn't believe the things that she was saying to me. And the way she talked to Mckenzie was even worse. I will never go back to that place ever again. I am still in shock from some of the things she said and did. read more
