I wanted a fresh new look from a great salon and don't expect " budget cut" services or pricing. I arrived, checked in and ended up waiting 30 minutes for my stylist because mine was running late. Ok, no problem because I watched some great hair being done so I was so excited! I was also in clear view of a gal doing a pedicure and I thought I'd try that service out next time. Good to know it's all under one roof. After waiting with anticipation of the stylist finishing up with their haircuts and blowouts, the gal that fished the pedicure came up to me saying she is ready for me. I was confused.... My heart sank. The excitement was gone and I just couldn't go through with it. I couldn't trust that I would get the same beautiful results as an experienced & skilled stylist for my big hair change. I asked her if she just got done doing that pedicure and was a newer stylist and she said yes, I just got done with the pedicure and have been cutting for about one year. I apologized and said I wasn't comfortable with her cutting my hair. I never had a pedicure nail person cut my hair before. The gal at the desk said all their stylist do pedicures and didn't offer any alternatives. She didn't care that I waited 30 minutes post my scheduled appointment and didn't care that I was not comfortable and didn't try to find me someone more experienced. She didn't even sell me on this stylist either!! Didn't build her up at all. Retaining my business was not a consideration at all. She was all too ok with me walking out the door. Since when does skilled experienced stylist do pedicures on Saturday ? I could have went to "budget cuts" and pay 15.00 rather than 85 plus a tip. That price point comes with expectations of getting a trained stylist passionate about her or his craft.

I think this is the best cut and style I have EVER received. I've never been so pleased with my hair before! She is an artist!! UPDATE: Yup! She's batting 1000 with ANOTHER great cut! Ashley is ALWAYS amazing! Not only does she take the time to find out weekday you want she always offers PROFESSIONAL consultations, and she is so effervescent and friendly that it really elevates the experience. Front desk check-in/check-out doesn't have the same vibe, the customer service isn't great and doesn't feel genuine at all. Just feels fake, not a lot of eye contact, doesn't seem like anyone really cares about the "customer's experience", very transactional feel. I guess that's how you can treat people when you the only one in town. I spent over $300 there today. Next time I'm going to try the new-ish Woodhouse Spa.
