I booked a cut and blowout as a first time client (new to area and live 2 minutes away; looking for a great stylist) and was quoted 85.00 which is not a problem. We pay for quality! I wanted a fresh new look from a great salon and don't expect " budget cut" services or pricing. I arrived, checked in and ended up waiting 30 minutes for my stylist because mine was running late. Ok, no problem because I watched some great hair being done so I was so excited! I was also in clear view of a gal doing a pedicure and I thought I'd try that service out next time. Good to know it's all under one roof. After waiting with anticipation of the stylist finishing up with their haircuts and blowouts, the gal that fished the pedicure came up to me saying she is ready for me. I was confused.... My heart sank. The excitement was gone and I just couldn't go through with it. I couldn't trust that I would get the same beautiful results as an experienced & skilled stylist for my big hair change. I asked her if she just got done doing that pedicure and was a newer stylist and she said yes, I just got done with the pedicure and have been cutting for about one year. I apologized and said I wasn't comfortable with her cutting my hair. I never had a pedicure nail person cut my hair before. The gal at the desk said all their stylist do pedicures and didn't offer any alternatives. She didn't care that I waited 30 minutes post my scheduled appointment and didn't care that I was not comfortable and didn't try to find me someone more experienced. She didn't even sell me on this stylist either!! Didn't build her up at all. Retaining my business was not a consideration at all. She was all too ok with me walking out the door. Since when does skilled experienced stylist do pedicures on Saturday ? I could have went to "budget cuts" and pay 15.00 rather than 85 plus a tip. That price point comes with expectations of getting a trained stylist passionate about her or his craft. read more

Amazing ladies !!!!! I booked my hair totally last minute maybe like 2-3 days in advance... so I didn't give the hairdresser much time and I was super lucky to have got the booking!! She was extremely friendly over the phone. This place is a one stop shop! They do everything and anything when it comes to hair /makeup/ beauty nails lashes /etc I was being taken care of by Maryana she was FABULOUS!! Best hairdresser in town by far! She knew I had hair extensions and took extra caution with my hair! I was extremely grateful to have found her she has golden hands and has so much talent ! She's amazing! She also is super lovely as a person and Definitely connected with her. she truly cares and loves to get to know you on a personal level! Pictures to show what my mom, sister, and I had done with our hair at this salon. To be honest, I liked my hair cut, and the style done. However, we purchased a Groupon that was worth $210 of balayage and hair cut. I ended up being charged an additional $65 on top of my Groupon for extra product used in my hair. I requested a rose color, which you cannot see in my hair. That was the majority of what I paid for. My sister asked for a similar color to me in the beginning, but half way through the stylist said they ran out of pink. But offered to change the color, and the stylist suggested purple. She then told her that to change the color would be an additional $55. My sister found a picture of purple she liked after this, and the stylist said she can do that. The picture she found is what is pictured as her request. In summary for this: The salon ran out of product.. and then tried to charge her more money to fix their mistake. The after picture is my sister with her now $265 worth of balayage. There is no purple. After letting the owner and stylist know she cannot see purple.. (that as you can see is clearly not visible) they offered to add more purple, for an additional $33. My sister let the owner know that she should not need to pay for what is clearly their mistake. The owner bullied and yelled at her. But eventually came to the conclusion that she would waive the additional fees that "should be paid." My sister left a review on the salons Facebook, which they've since decided to hide Facebook reviews. I've attached a screen shot of the owners original reply that she's since deleted. The "as explained" bit in her reply, about needing multiple visits, was never explained to any of us until after it was over. We all would have chosen a different color/shade or something, that would have shown right away, if we'd known that. We didn't go to school for this, we're not professional. We looked up "cute balayage" or whatever on google, and found pictures we liked. It's the professionals job to say "that won't work with your hair" or "that won't work without multiple visits". If all you tell your client is "yes, I can do that" but it doesn't turn out, that's on the professional, not the client. They need to be honest with their clients, so situations like this don't happen. My mother ended up in tears last night at dinner, because she was so embarrassed to be at a restaurant. She's literally afraid for her older grandkids to see her, and be laughed at. Nobody should feel that way after leaving a salon and spending hundreds of dollars. I do not recommend this salon whatsoever, especially for unnatural hair colors. read more

I went to Changes for the first time the weekend of Mothers Day looking for a reasonably priced salon that can give me a quick manicure. Luckily, I hit the jackpot. Denean did my nails and took her time. Her patience resulted in one of the best manicures I've received. A lot of places rush which result in bloody cuticles but not here. The place is the perfect size with the friendliest staff. I just went back and got a manicure and pedicure this time and again was beyond happy with the result which made me happy to spend the money. It's a relaxed atmosphere but a comfortable place to chat like you've known them for years. I am so happy I decided to stumble on in one afternoon because after my last appointment, I scheduled three additional appointments for the weeks to come including a hair appointment. I cannot say enough about Changes and what a great place this is. I highly recommend! read more

This isn't my regular salon, but a friend knows Madison, a hairdresser there, and so I went to try something new just for fun. I ended up splurging and getting a cut and highlights. The whole thing would have run about $110-120, which is what I would pay at my regular place, but I got a discount and a bunch of "Bring a Friend" coupons and some to return. I probably will return even though it's a drive for me but my regular hairdresser can be hard to get in with. My color looks amazing and the haircut is versatile, which is important to me. She did a great job and the place was clean, and the rest of the staff was friendly too. So go say hey to Madison and check this place out. read more

After a handful of hair appointments with Dayna, I decided I needed to let the world know just how great she and this salon are! I saw Dayna for a couple haircuts a year ago and she did a lovely job. In between then, however, I regretfully let a "friend of a friend" cut my hair for free... a risk I wish I hadn't taken. After growing it out for a couple months I returned to Changes salon last week and was not disappointed. Dayna not only fixed some mistakes from the old haircut, but also executed my requests perfectly! My hair has never looked better leaving the salon. I can be extremely picky about my hair plus it's not the easiest to cut due to its length and thickness, but I feel safe in Dayna's hands. I got an eyebrow wax as well and mentioned I had trouble filling mine in/finding a shade of pencil to match my slight auburn hair. She suggested an eyebrow pencil they carried and filled mine in for me, going above and beyond. They looked just as great as my hair! On top of being a great stylist, Dayna is friendly and wonderful to chat with. The ladies at Changes are all so nice, warm, and accommodating. It really is a treat going there. This happened in October 2010: I was new to the area and was looking for a salon. I decided to give this one a try and made an appointment with a random stylist (mistake #1). When I got there everyone was really nice. They washed my hair before the consultation, which I thought was unusual and got a little worried, but didn't think much of it (mistake #2). When I sat down with the stylist (who didn't look or sound very experienced), my hair was dripping wet and there was no way she could tell its texture or thickness. I told her I wanted my hair about 6in shorter than it was (mistake #3) and with long bangs. What I ended up getting was hair 7in shorter, with no blending whatsoever (meaning it was cut straight and would curl up awkwardly at the ends), that was longer on one side, I guess because she didn't ask me how I parted my hair. And I had to insist on her giving me bangs because she didn't want to, because she said she'd "cut too much already". I ended up with unblended bangs about an inch longer than I wanted them. Clearly it wasn't about what I wanted and she was not very experienced. I let it grow out a bit and went to another salon a few months later where the stylist was able to fix it. She told me it looked like I had cut it myself. I honestly think I could've done a better job and kept my $40. read more

Wendy, the owner, is up on the latest trends, styles and methods so she's constantly trying to find news ways to make me look great. Her staff is extremely professional, friendly and always going above and beyond to meet my requests and needs. This is a must salon if you want to look your best whatever the occasion.
