This was my first time in Sky Nails; I don't get manis/pedis all that often, and the salon looked clean and relatively organized. I stopped in about 10 minutes early and they had me sit down at one of their stations and were able to start prepping me (removed my previous gel polish). This joint is very casual, as in maybe the technicians aren't all as professional as some would prefer - see more details below. I didn't mind the vibe one bit as I just want beautiful nails when it's all said and done. The nail technician who worked on my nails was very meticulous and did do beautiful work - I saw the detail painting she was doing on the patron beside me - little ghost and black cat ‍ for Halloween - So cute. But she did have some drama with her kids calling her from home, which was really nothing, but that may turn some patrons off from this place if you're looking for a more quiet, relaxing vibe. With that being said, I will definitely be stopping in again for next manicure.

We didn't know what he meant, but went back there anyway. There was a table piled high of swatches, we assumed they were all alike so we picked colors then waited our turn. After 20 minutes of waiting they got us in, one lady finished one of us up really early even though others started sooner. Turns out the woman was in such a hurry that she sliced my friends fingers as she was filing. She was bleeding from both hands, deep cuts along the sides of each nail. We paid, super expensive, I only later discovered that they'd given us gel nails, which, while shiny and pretty DO NOT COME OFF without totally RUINING YOUR NAILS. I called to make my initial appointment and told them I'm allergic to monomer so I can't do…read moreacrylic, & asked if they do hard or builder gel. They said yes, so I went in. I opted for builder gel as I haven't had a problem with it before, but apparently the one they use also has monomer in it! They didn't say anything even though I said at least 3 times that I'm allergic to and that's why I can't do acrylics. I got them done, liked them, and went home. This morning I woke up and all of my fingers were swollen, red, and itchy! So I did what you're supposed to do and went back. They removed everything and redid them, but then wanted me to pay the full price all over again. She said, well you didn't like them and I redid them. WRONG!! I had an allergic reaction to something that I told you about ahead of time but you still put it on my fingers anyway. Long story short, I ended up double paying for a service when the issue was that they didn't listen to me (or didn't know what was in their builder gel)! Giving two stars because the color and shaping is nice, but I can't recommend this place.

She barely said a word to me the whole time she was doing my nails. I tried to start conversation but she seemed too interested in the sci fi film on the tv. When it was done she said, "you pay now". Now, I understand there was a little bit of a language barrier but if you're going to run a business, you need to have good customer skills. My nails turned out pretty good. I know how nails are supposed to be done with the gel polish though and there was no prime coat applied before the gel. I hope the polish stays on for at least a week...but very doubtful. I did only pay $10 though so I guess you get what you pay for.

Do, who has been there a long time, took one look at me and told me he did not have any appointments today for a pedicure . I then asked if I could get. Manicure, he said all booked up. He kept giving me funny looks. So I walked out, waited a minute then booked an appointment on line. There were several appointment times available. When I came in Do said "O your back" . I looked at him and said you lied to me. He said no I didn't I just didn't know you had an appointment. I told him I did not have an appointment when I walked in the first time. Do just walked away. I used to come in frequently and get my nails done and I always asked for Do. I guess he doesn't recognize me.I am no longer getting my nails done here, and making sure all my friends know about how I was treated. The shop was empty except for one other person getting a pedicure while I was there. Also if it was about my service dog. Service dogs are allowed in any public facility. She is a medical alert dog, she spent 8 months in Colorado training for her job and cost me thousands of dollars.
