It was quite a tug and the nail bed didn't look great to me after. I'm nervous in general because of the filing. I don't typically get my nails done because they usually peel, no matter what method we use to soak them off.. but I'll wait and give it a fair shot to see how my nails respond after this set. I was immediately greeted and sat down at the pedicure area. Chairs look new and clean. In fact, I watched an employee spray down and wipe the chair after a customer left. I had a male pedicures and he was wonderful. Very gentle yet firm as he worked on my feet. The water was so warm and soapy. The customers around me seemed happy and happy with their services, which is very telling because I've been to places where customers were either leaving or visibly upset. The place was very clean (including the bathrooms), smelled good, and had great music! I got a gel deep French pedi (basic spa) for 74, including tip (without was about 62), which I'd say is average for the area. Plus, the experience was worth it to me. She confirmed they offered those services, but continued pressuring me to change the method, which was frustrating and uncomfortable. Before starting, she asked what shape I wanted, and I showed her a reference photo of a rounded shape. She then tried to upsell me on an additional manicure service, which I declined because I already had one scheduled for the next day. After that, she began the service but did not follow the shape I asked. I did say every time she asked it wasn't looking like what I wanted, the rounded shape, but she seemed irritated. At one point, she called a coworker, and they spoke in another language while looking at my nails and laughing. They then told me my natural nail shape would not work with the rounded shape I requested, which makes no sense, especially since I've had this exact shape before. It felt like an excuse because they didn't want to spend the extra time needed to do it properly. Additionally, she filed my finger so hard that caused it to bleed. They greet you, check you in, have you pick your color and seat you as soon as it's ready which is very quick. I've never seen such efficiency! They immediately ask if you want anything to drink. QUALITY (5/5): I got a regular pedicure (not gel) which the lowest pedicure cost $37 which I found fairly steep but I'm new to this area so I'm not sure if that's the average rate. I also got a gel builder manicure which cost me about $83 for a solid color and simple dot design. Everything took less than an hour which amazed me! There is also a coffee shop next door so arrive to your appointments a few minutes early to get your Favorite beverage.
