The salon is located in Vancouver's luxury shopping district, surrounded by iconic brands such as Dior, Tiffany & Co., Burberry, and Hermès, which adds to the overall upscale experience. Before booking, I called with a few questions and found everyone to be incredibly helpful. I ended up booking an appointment online for the following morning for a Bio Gel manicure. It happened to be raining when I arrived, and the staff immediately took my coat and offered me a beverage. I chose an Americano, which was served on a beautiful tray. It was such a thoughtful touch and set the tone for the entire experience. The salon itself was immaculate. I noticed staff constantly cleaning, dusting, polishing, and maintaining the space throughout my visit. Everything was spotless. They even provided masks to wear during the filing process to protect clients from nail dust, which I thought was a very nice detail. My nail technician, Olga, was absolutely wonderful. She and another team member helped me choose the perfect color combination, a soft translucent shade with just a hint of pink and white. The result was exactly what I was hoping for. I've received countless compliments on my nails during my Alaska cruise and have found myself telling everyone that I had them done in Vancouver. I hadn't had my nails done in quite some time because previous dip manicures in the United States had damaged my natural nails, largely from repeatedly using tips to achieve the shape I wanted. I was looking for something stronger and more protective, and the team took the time to explain why Bio Gel might be a better option for my situation. What really impressed me was their ability to build and shape the extensions using Bio Gel itself. I had been researching builder gel and healthier alternatives to acrylics and dip systems, so it was fascinating to see the process firsthand. While it does take longer because of the multiple layers and curing under the UV lamp, I love the strength, shine, and natural look of the finished nails. Most importantly, I'm hopeful this system will be much gentler on my natural nails going forward. The initial appointment was a little expensive, but that's to be expected when you're getting a full new set and custom shaping. Given the quality of the work, the luxurious atmosphere, and the exceptional service, I felt it was well worth the cost. What truly sets this salon apart is the overall experience. The beautiful environment, attentive staff, complimentary beverage service, and genuine hospitality make it feel more like a luxury spa than a typical nail salon. Though they get points for having the newest season of Opi colours, more nail polish selections would be nice. 2) Use of some kind of pumice stone would be nice. At the actual salons more time is spent on grooming the entire foot (dry, rough heels for example) and not just the nails. 3) More reasonable prices. I understand that you pay a bit more ($60 for the Express Mani/Pedi)) for the convenience of having the spa come to your house, but with all the competitive spa prices out there, it's really hard to justify using a mobile spa service all the time, and I really would like to use the services more than once a year when someone gets married. My stylist was Gabby. It was clear she took her work seriously and wasn't there to zip you in and out asap. Gabby was patient as I was bobbing my head in and out of consciousness - she moved my head slightly when she needed to. She played it safe, not cutting things too short that they would spike up and be uncontrollable (save for a hat), which was my preference anyway. I think my Asian hair gave her some challenges especially when it came to using the product to style my hair, but when I did it myself using my own product the next day, I could see that the cut was good. Nothing to rave about, but it wasn't the disasters that I've had so often in the past. It'd be unfair to compare the quality of the cut to the salons I've paid 40% more for, so I must say that the value is there.
