They used a technique I've never seen before with dip but it came out really pretty! She applied it like acrylic brushed dipped and shaped on nail. He finished with one and was finishing up painting on the other. Two girls walked in, the girl had a broken nail, and he assisted her before me. The last time I went to Noire, a so-called "nail tech" ripped my acrylics off using a nail tip, absolutely destroying my nail beds. It took weeks to recover -- and that kind of traumatic, amateur-hour treatment is permanently burned into my memory. I get one day off a week. One chance to take care of myself. This appointment was scheduled between other things, so I could Accomplish what was needed in that one day. Instead, this salon wasted my time, and treated my appointment like it was completely disposable. Let's call this what it is: they prioritize walk-ins over scheduled appointments. They overbook, underdeliver, and don't care about the clients who keep their books full. There was no way my appointment was double-booked if it was made at the end of the previous business day. This was either poor planning, incompetence, or just outright disrespect. If you value your time, your nails, or basic human courtesy -- go literally anywhere else. This salon clearly thinks its customers are disposable. I won't be back, and I'll be warning everyone I know to steer clear.

He seemed as if he did not want to do my nails, and I originally asked for someone different who told me yes, but she was on the phone with her insurance company and kept telling me to hold on which I was understanding, but eventually when she came in, she took someone different who had came in like an hour after me. I have been getting a pedicure, which I decided to do first as I waited on her, but when she got done, she decided to take someone else instead of coming to me, which resulted in me having to have the tech who is doing my pedicure, do my nails as well and when the front desk receptionist asked him, would he be OK with doing my nails? He seemed upset about it, but said yes anyway so that was kind of off to me. They do also have a new front desk person who I think is actually a little nicer. The last thing that I noticed is last year when I got my nails done for my birthday I was able to use the birthday discount. That they have upfront, they asked me for my ID and to prove that it was my birthday and I was able to get the 20% off mind you that was not the actual day of my birthday. I think it was two days before last year I did the same thing this year and they told me no it had to be on my actual birthday so I found that to be kind of odd. Maybe they need to post the requirements on that as well because usually it would be the week or I don't know just seemed weird. Overall, though I would definitely continue to go to them.

I am a huge review reader and found this nail shop on yelp as it was close to my cabin. I am so glad that I did. I was warmly greeted by Mindy. She kept the conversation the whole way during my fill in and was extremely friendly. She was able to fix my almond shaped nails that were lifting and arched my brows beautifully to where they barely need any makeup to shape them. If I lived in the Gatlinburg area, this would be my go to nail salon! It's very seldom that you find a great nail salon with no complaints!
