Dayton area friends run, don't walk, to Jessica's Totally Polished Spa!…read more I had a spa pedicure and OPI permanent polish manicure today and can't say one bad thing about my experience. From the second I walked in to her earth-toned, serene corner salon I was treated as a VIP even though I was a first-time client. She was ready for my appointment on time (actually a little early) and invited me in to sit on the oversized recliner chair and make myself comfortable. I thought it was a bit strange because I was wondering where the water tub was for me to soak my feet. She noticed my confusion and explained that she does waterless pedicures for numerous reasons but one main reason is it's more sanitary than using water tubs...she also uses an actual autoclave on all her metal instruments every evening so if you're into clean salons look no further! But on to the good stuff...the pedicure was PURE BLISS and the conversation was equally as enjoyable. As she switched from foot to foot she wrapped my feet in hot towels and a warming boot that kept my tootsies warm and softened my feet and cuticles. The foot file she used on the bottoms of my feet was very gentle and didn't bother me one bit...I usually cringe at this part of the service because it's painful or tickles to the point I can barely take it. As for the massage...it was out of this world!!! She dimmed the lights, had me recline to chair (which also vibrates and warms -- but not in a painful way like a lot of the ones I've used in other nail salons) and I'm pretty sure I fell asleep for a few minutes. AWESOME! After the pedi I tried out the new OPI permanent polish. I'm not really a manicure person but thought what the heck. She told me she guarantees her work with this type of polish for two weeks so if anything chips or whatever she'd fix them for free. How about that for customer service?!? OK so wow, this is long but I am just so thrilled to have found Jessica I wanted to make sure to spread the good word. Get your tushes to Totally Polished, people!!! P.S. As I was preparing to pay we had a slight miscommunication where she had written down I scheduled a Spa Pedi though I only scheduled a regular (difference of $10). I didn't really care because WOW the Spa Pedi was insane...but as I was writing this review I actually got a call from Jessica and she apologized right away because she had checked her book and realized it was her mistake that she had given me the more expensive service on accident. She offered to make it up to me by refunding the money or upgrading my next pedi!! Seriously, who does that...AWESOME! Can't wait to see her again...https://www.vagaro.com/TotallyPolished

When I felt like my nails needed a break from the gel sets, she encouraged me to try the OPI permanent polish, which I have found I love. I've brought my tween daughter in for a manicure and Jessica was gentle with her and attentive. I haven't tried a pedicure yet, but given the service and attention to detail she has given me over the past almost year and a half, I can't imagine it would be anything less than top notch!

As someone who works in customer service and never complains... it took a lot for me to come write a review. This is gonna be long **EDITED A DAY LATER TO UPLOAD PICTURES OF WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE NOW** and before you judge how dry they look that's after lotion because whatever they used on me dried my skin out so bad To start the gentleman I had didn't understand what I was saying at all. Severe language barrier which normally I don't mind at all, but it caused so many problems. When I told him I didn't want my toe nails clipped down and he did anyways.. too short for the French tip look I get. I asked him if we should remove the old acrylic because it was looking discolored and do new and he said yes then continued to fill it in... When filing down the acrylic he was getting my skin BAD. I mentioned it over and over again... he never lightened up and he left my skin red and raw. After he put my toe in the water I noticed my toe was swollen. When he used the pumice stone that's meant for the tough spots on the bottom of your feet he proceeded to do THE TOP OF MY FOOT which I let out a gasp because it caught me off guard and hurt. After it itched and burned like crazy where he got the tip of my foot. Mentioned it to him and asked for a manager. Both just kept acting confused to what I was showing them and I was offered cuticle oil to help with the pain I tried to explain for my French tip they usually do a transparent nude to match my nail bed to cover up the lines in the acrylic from fill ins/the discoloration from the old acrylic and he didn't understand and kept trying to use pink. The acrylic looked a grey color that made it just look dirty.. the nude base covered it up some but I really needed fresh acrylic. He had to grab someone else who explained the base to him. For my French tips he kept painting them on uneven and no toe matched the other.. I ended up requesting someone else finish the French tip. Their only saving grace was the second girl was very gentle and tried to fix my uneven French tips. When I went to pay the "manager" she had said they'd give me 50% off after looking at how bad my toe was standing up. I was over it, paid the check and left. I had already been in the chair over two hours and had some where to be.. so I didn't notice until after I left I they charged me 68 DOLLARS. There's no way that was half off... I got a regular pedicure with gel (65) and acrylic fill in on my big toes (8), maybe an up-charge for the color being just the tips but there's no way it was meant to be 120+. I went for a relaxing experience and now my big toe hurts like hell and my toes look meh. Absolutely terrible experience I tried to get pictures of it as it was happening but they don't do justice to how red it really was. You can see the top of my toe when he's holding it is beet red from filing it. When I stand on it it's throbbing
