Michelle is beyond awesome. I have been getting my nails done for years at some of the cheap places around Tulsa and had no idea the damage that they were actually doing to my nails. I went to Michelle for the first time after a friend recommended her. When she took off the old acrylic on my nails, they were almost brown underneath - gross! - where the other places hadn't been properly cleaning them. Michelle took the extra time to clean them completely, go through things I can do at home daily to help out, and help me get them back on the right track and back to being healthy again. She also ensured that I got both exfoliating rub for my hands and oil so that I can do this at home to ensure that they stay on the right track to being extremely healthy under the acrylic. **Coolest part: When we got to the point of her putting on a new layer of acrylic (I have long natural nails, I don't like or use tips), she gave me a wide choice of custom acrylic powders to choose from. I had a hard time picking which one I wanted! She has about every color that you can think of: green, blue, purple, hot pink, light pink, yellow, shoot - you name it. And she custom mixes some with glitter and other cool things that I have never ever seen anywhere else. For those of you that love the gel or shellac polishes, here is a better way! You can have your color in the acrylic so it never fades, never chips, never gets damaged by chemicals that you might use at home. I chose light pink with glitter and then black tips painted on. I've seen some of the really cool nail art that Michelle does as well and that will be what I get the next time I go in! If you have never been to a nail salon that actually tries to ensure your nails are healthy and you are totally happy, go to Michelle. In fact, go to Michelle no matter what! I will never go anywhere else and even though I don't live in Owasso, it's well worth the drive out there for me to ensure my nails are healthy and beautiful at the same time. Now, before you go - she is a bit more overall than the cheaper places, but like $5-$10. The small difference is WELL worth it. Your nails will be healthy, you will be completely happy with them, and Michelle herself is just a really cool gal. She also does pedicures and several types of nails - for those of you that prefer something different than acrylic. I have been going to Michelle for about a year now, and my nails were also in bad -shape, from another nail (cheaper) place, Michelle took her time and talent and fixed my nails, taught me how to take care of my hands at home in between my 2wk visit's, My own nails have grown out and Michelle will NOT let them get get any type of fungus that grows under the nails, she uses NO GLUE.. she sulpters and shapes, polish, art work anything you want, My nails are BEAUTIFUL thanks to Nails by Michelle. I love Nails by Michelle. I was having trouble keeping my nails on in between nail visits so I was looking for a new salon and I happened upon Nails by Michelle by sheer luck. Since Ive been going to her, my nails always look great and I don't lose them in between visits. Her shop is small and intimate. You don't have to put up with all of the noise and distraction of a big salon. I always find cool nail art on-line and bring her pictures. She replicates them to perfection. I get compliments on my nails ALL the time. She also does pedicures. I'm extra rough on my feet because I hate shoes and Michelle has my feet looking fantastic! Michelle is awesome!! I took my my daughters and one of their friends for mani - pedi's for a treat. She was so very friendly and very knowledgeable.
